Torn on this one really like both these teams. Got roots at Hooterville, and spent part of my life in Cleveland at the boys and girls club.

Plenty of parking, but from the interstate it is a two lane road all the way to the school Traffic will back up. If folks try to get to the game at 7:15 you will miss the kickoff. 6:45 is a good time to get there.

Yes seating is an issue. The away side seats 400 and the home side 800. The home side will fill. The stadium is called Hurricane Hill behind the home side there is a great grass hill that is perfect for lawn chairs and is the best place to see the game. We have had as many as 400 on that hill. We also allow folks to stand or sit around the tract. We have had up to 7500 at a home game. I would suggest that folks bring lawn chairs and sit on the hill or track.

Did some math with the TSSAA web site, with the way they got this thing. If Owls and Rhea both finish 10-0 and they put you in the same quad (and they will) Rhea will be #1 seed. 1st tie breaker is games vs teams with 500 record. Tyner, Brainerd, us, McMinn, and Bradley did not help you. Canes helped Raiders last week, we will do our best by beating Rhea... You will get #1 seed. Consider it a going away gift!

I will be at every game...... You should be at home till Cookeville.

This has been a great run by the Owls....... I think they go 10-0 and go very deep, maybe all the way to Cookeville. But if there is a team in this district that can pull it the Raiders are the team.

I think this is a good game till about the 3rd period. I really like the way the Raiders play, but the Owls are very deep. Owls will have more team speed. Both od these teams will play in the post season, a scare or a loss by the Owls will make them a better team for the playoffs.

Canes had there 1st game with 0 turnovers. Also had over 300 rushing yards and forced 5 turnovers. Can we do it again? If we do we will have a shot. Rhea is very good and are well coached they will not beat themselves.

He did had a nice pick! Had 43 yd kick off return one block from being a TD. Him playing D kept #6 on the O side and he responded with 203 rushing yards. Jeff also had 3 catches good yds after catch.

Your pretty smart guy Dave I like the 1 TD difference. But I do not think we can score 35 points. 7 games 29 turnovers!

For the Canes the cart is in the ditch... And we do not have the studs to pull it out of the ditch. Soddy by 2 scores.

What's there to say. Two 1-5 teams and both played like it. The Refs were as bad as projected. But they made as many bad calls for the Kees as the Canes.......

It's not really about overall record. For example we East Ham or Cleveland could go 5-5 and be 4-2 in district play, they go. Lenior City went. 5-5 and 4-3 and went .

Unlike last few years there is really not anyone key player or players. The team is pretty young 15 of the 22 starters are under classman. #9 DB is getting looks by D1 Schools and also the big center #71.

I have never been to a football game in Athens, been to a baseball game and the umps were good. I have heard many stories from others mostly from my friends at Ooltewah about stories, this goes back some years. I have also heard stories from other schools (Soddy, and Cleveland) fans. But the one that really got me is from a now passed on coach from the Old Chattanooga Central and my father in-law also a Central coach in the 50's and 60's and they tell me it is the truth "the worst I have ever seen" "you better be up by 2 or 3 late or you will lose" So this goes back 50+ years so I guess where there is smoke there is some fire.

It's not going to end I have it on pretty good word they well con't to play. Lot of respect for Cleveland down our way. If you think football games are classic try sitting thru a 9 inning 1-1 tie in baseball.

The safety vs. East Ham was a great call by the deffensive coach with the linebacker blitz...... East Ham did not lose this game Cleveland won it. BlueRaider said on here last year when we beat them by 1 "I would like another shot at the Canes". This year I would like another shot at the Raiders....... I will take Cleveland in this one....... by 2 TD's.

I stated back in July that this would be a very tuff year for the Canes. I stated that we would be more then likely 1-4 going into the Cleveland game. I got called a sandbagger. At that time I had no idea that we would lose our QB. Gatewood has made changes tinkered with the offense all year and it is a slow process. Also like everyone else more so Cleveland we have had some major injuries in key areas. We have 4 games remaining @ McMinn, Soddy, Rhea, and @ Bradley. If we can win those 3 remaining district games we can get to 4-2 in the district I think that gets us in. Lenoir City got in with a 3-3 record and 5-5 over all last year. I also think Stone Memorial got in with near the same record. I also think the offense played pretty darn good in the second half vs. Cleveland and we got into a little grove. #6 got his first start at QB and position he has not played since 7th grade. We still had issues with some drop balls and I think it’s more timing then anything. I think the Canes win out and go 4-2….. And make the playoffs. I also think we will give Rhea the best game they have had all year. I think we beat McMinn by 2 or 3 scores this week…….

Only upset is this district is when someone takes down the Owls. This game is 50/50..... Maybe a edge to Kees due to being at home.

Raiders did indeed bend but they did not break. Canes played much better in 2nd half. I think if the Canes beat McMinn, Soddy, and Bradley and we can would put us at 4-2. Raiders win out and lose to Owls I think they will they go 4-2, we could get 3 in. Got to talk with Coach Crawford what a class act..... Canes did OK with a kid that has not played QB since 7th grade......... He made it very interesting on last play. Don't hurt too much losing Cleveland good classy bunch.......

I can buy the Soddy part they have the lightest schedule only a trip to East Ham. Walker Valley has got to play the Owls go to Cleveland and then play Soddy, East Ham has already beaten them. Soddy is much improved @ 4-1, 3 of those 4 wins Hixson, Tyner and Red Bank.
