  1. We all expect you to come back on here Friday night or Saturday morning and eat all of the crow you've laid out on here. Don't disappear like that OTHER POSTER FROM NORTH CA. You know the one who is always uptight, hates facts, valid predictions, and truth. Huntland is playing at home and has the momentum. I predict that's going to be a long quiet bus ride back to Clarksville Friday night.
  2. Good one! Let's see, Wayne County, the team that fumbles more than times than Joe Biden giving a speech making it to the semifinals? I really like WC, their great coach, and enthusiastic fan base. Should be a good game in Nashville against NCS for about a half. WC, as the result of too many injuries this year, won't be able to hang with NCS after halftime. 21-14 half. 48-21 prediction final.
  3. I just don't see where all this confidence comes from regarding North CA. They haven't beaten anyone with a decent record and their defense has given up a lot of points to some really below average opponents. Add to that, little to no depth, and a coaching staff that is clueless in making in game adjustments and you guys think that equals victories over two teams with a combined record of 18-2? Maybe you are just trying to instill confidence in the players with all these statements. Much like these before the Nashville Christian game: ____________________________________________________________________________________________________ (1)Don't think NCS is guaranteed the win and if they do... not expecting the blow out everyone is predicting. Got the chance to watch NCS play recently, not as strong as in years past, kind of like the rest of 1A. Don't get me wrong, they have several good players, a few who have D1 offers, guessing due to size? Plus they have a great coach. But CA has huge momentum and with almost everyone healthy, they may be tough to beat. And heard that a few of the CA players say they are D1. So with two stacked teams, should be a close game Friday night. Doesn't sound that close and don't think NCS will score what they want. Think they will have to work for the win this week. A lot is being said about NCS defense, but what about the offense? Offense seems to be CA's strength. Going to be a good game tomorrow night by two well coached teams. May come down to who makes less mistakes and officiating. Don't see a mercy rule. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ This strategy obviously worked out well. Forgive me for doubting your analysis, but in this case future results ARE indicative of past performance. Good luck to you though. A North CA victory over South CA would mean NCS hosts the quarterfinal game rematch. Certainly that is our desired outcome but I believe we will be firing up the buses and traveling to South CA in a few weeks.
  4. Ba ha! Columbia Academy will wipe the floor with Clarksville Academy IF they meet. I watched the Wayne Co v Columbia Academy game and can tell you the South CA has much better athletes, depth, and the obvious, COACHING than the North CA. South CA played a much tougher schedule than North CA. North CA should get the basketballs pumped up and dust the gym floor.
  5. If Huntland will stack the box and have the corners play super tight on the receivers I see them winning this game. "the academy" as some refer to them are a really good first half team, but if Huntland can hang close, they can win it in the second half when "the academy" falls apart like a chinese motorcycle. Go Hornets!
  6. Certainly everyone has an opinion and you are entitled to yours. Message boards like these are a form of entertainment for some people, either posting, reading, or both. Just because you might cringe or shy away at sharing your thoughts/analysis in a public manner others enjoy the discussion and banter. No one is trying to live out crushed dreams through posting opinions and commentary, it is simply discussing the facts at hand. That is why message boards were created. If you don't like to follow the banter, then you have a choice, don't get on the web-site. But just because you don't like to share your insight/opinions in such a manner, you shouldn't adopt a "holier than thou" attitude and attack those who choose to. If everybody was like the way you think people should be/act then all there would be is an empty message board and people walking around thinking they are better than everyone else because of their beliefs or actions. There's already too much of that going on at SOME churches in this country. Through these message board, fans and parents celebrate and discuss football games played by brave young men who give blood, sweat, and tears to a game which people love. Sometimes the discussions get a little personal but at the end of the day, everyone usually comes together and compliments the other team, coaches, and fans. If you want to be a potted plant, then there's nothing wrong with that, the world needs ferns. But the world also needs advocates for or against positions and/or past and future events. Conflicts are best resolved through written or spoken words.
  7. Blocking does not consist of grapping, tackling, punching, and holding onto the kicker. The receiving team is on offense, they aren't supposed to be tackling and all the other crap. If you want to block the kicker then by all means block the kicker. What's been going on is targeting the kicker not blocking the kicker. CA doesn't do this to the other teams it plays.
  8. It's happened three years in a row. Making excuses just enables the bully.
  9. It's just Coach Hood's way to tick off our fans, players, and coaches. As the game got more out of reach the attacks increased in intensity. This is really a case of bullying. NCS could have put up 60+ on CA, but they took the high road and just ran the clock with basic running plays. CA will never have a great program with that clown as coach. Keep your clown and NCS will keep winning the District Title.
  10. Wow! Your reading comprehension is severely lacking. Suggesting violence? You've got to be kidding me. You are wound tighter than a 10 day clock. Gees, laugh a little Mr. Rubberband Man. Don't like the implicit humor of the picture in relation to the back story of this game involving "Kicker-Gate", then tough, get over it. It was purely in jest and you know it.
  11. Hey Gtripledip, monoptn, and bjack96, these teams up in upper East TN got all bent out of shape last night and it was evidently quite the "ruckus". Cameras were rolling and snapped the picture below. Think you guys could contact them and explain this is just a "legal" and "clean" block and there's nothing wrong with it? WASHINGTON COUNTY, TN (WJHL) - Despite initially saying no one was arrested following last night's Musket Bowl brawl, the Washington County, Tennessee, Sheriff's Office is now saying a reserve officer did arrest one man in connection to Thursday night's fight. The fight between players followed a 23 to 16 victory by the Daniel Boone High School Trailblazers over the David Crockett High School pioneers. The two teams are rivals and face off every year for Musket Bowl bragging rights. http://www.wjhl.com/story/27173511/musket-bowl-brawl-results-in-one-arrest (Caption) - David Crockett players successfully block the kicker during a kickoff in Thursday night's game.
  12. Well, well, well...what do we have here.....a new kinder gentler gtripledip! I'll join you in praying for an injury free game for both sides. CA is going to play lights out for the first half at least and it might actually be close at halftime. But NCS's depth will prove the difference in the second half. It's just challenging for the many CA players that play both ways to keep the level of intensity needed when they never leave the field. FYI. There is a $5 chili supper beginning at 6 on the baseball field and a trunk or treat for the elementary school age kids from 6:30-7:00 in the parking lot. CA families are always welcome! I watched CA's film for the last two games and was really impressed with the linemen and some of the holes they opened up for your backs. Big and fast. Probably will be a challenge for NCS. It's Halloween, it CA's Super Bowl equivalent, and that always entertaining and tricky Coach Hood at the helm, I anticipate a fake punt or two, an onside kick to start the game if CA kicks off, and some gadget plays from CA. Should be a scream!
  13. Ah.......more sour grapes from our friends at Harpeth High. You would think scalping the Indians the past three years about 160 - 14, there'd be less cynicism.
  14. NCS and Columbia Academy will have first round byes. "the academy" will lose to either Wayne County or Huntland in the first round. Unless they draw Moore County, they are one and done. However with how good Moore County been playing as of late, that victory is not a given. That's not a lack of "Christian Spirit", lotsofcoffee aka (Oh great Arbiter of all that is Christian), that's just the cold hard facts.
  15. LOL. FYI, Einstein.........cwoodbball is a Collinwood High School (100 miles away) fan albeit for this game he's cheering for NCS. So if anyone, anywhere, posts their opinion in support of NCS winning, you take the position they represent NCS, it's institutional integrity, and it's teaching philosophy? I don't think that's trash talking. It's more like a desired outcome in the form of a wish. This would be an example of trash talking..... Q: What do you call 30 guys WATCHING the 2nd round of the TSSAA football playoffs? A: The Clarksville Academy Cougars
  16. Hope springs eternal or break those prozacs in half? Either would apply to that analysis. Bless his heart......
  17. Ok let's have a clean game. Now that the past year's ....et um.....coincidences have been laid bare, hopefully they won't be repeated ever again. That certainly was the intent of posting the videos. I think this game will be a defensive struggle....for one team that is......Go Eagles!
  18. Oh how I've waited for this game. Here's two of the instances caught on camera. First one is not shockingly bad, still should have been a penalty. But there's no excuse for the second one. No penalties called on either. There were two more instances that were out of view of the camera. What say you gtripledip? You denied this happened for a year now. Care to comment? Instance 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-n86-pJAnA Watch upper right of screen near the end of the play. Clarksville Academy blocker graps Nashville Christian's kicker, spins him, and wrestles him to the ground. October 2013 Instance 2 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lar0VOsAsZk Watch middle left of screen near the end of the play. Clarksville Academy blocker graps Nashville Christian's kicker, throws him to the ground, holds him down, then another CA player spears him in the back. NO PENALTY - October 2013
  19. After you sleep on it, I would expect you to post an apology for this outrageous personal attack on an individual and a school. First off, NCS is the one of the least expensive private schools in the State. It's less per month than most car payments. For almost 35 years NCS was regularly a doormat in football. Coach Brothers was hired five or six years ago and things slowly changed. A lot of NCS's players have been there many years. Our Ole Miss signee OL as an example, came to NCS in the 5th grade. Your reference to "nice humble boys of low to middle class" describes NCS's team perfectly. The only people "putting out some money" are the parents who choose to drive a less fancy car, skip vacations for many years, and sacrifice so that they can give their children a better educational opportunity than what's available at some of Metro Nashville's run down, gang infested public schools. You are simply clueless in your warped vision of NCS.
  20. Total defensive domination. East Nashville had less than 20 yards of total offense. A team that a week ago had 417 total yards against #5-4A Pearl Cohn didn't have a single first down tonight. NCS was fired up from the opening bell and gang tackled every play. An amazing effort by the players and extraordinary game plan by the coaches!
  21. Oh your creativeness is well documented. I remember you stating a few years back in reply to a proclamation that I was the Garbage Man of trash talking, that you felt I was more like the dishwasher at a Chinese restaurant. I spent many an hour in therapy trying to pick up the pieces of my shattered psyche after that one. IF UC and NCS meet, I'll have a few zingers ready but I don't know if that's the best way to deal with UC. I'm thinking blowing sunshine and praise might be the only successful tactic, and even then it's probability of success is miniscule at best. Good luck with Peabody tonight. I'll be cheering you guys on and following on BallFrog.
  22. Those CA posters have dwindled. Must be the colder weather triggering their winter hibernation instincts. Someone started a 1A Coach of the Year recommendations page earlier this week and "gtripledipsh*t" has yet to nominate Coach Hoodlum...I mean Hood.
  23. Thanks "metroLegendinmyhead". I wasn't aware #9 changed his number to #2, your QB. Must have been watching old film. No whining this weekend after this game from you OK? Don't be blaming the zebras, the weather, moon phases, etc. This one loss will help East in the long run. Trust me on that. K
