  1. 1AA Johnson County versus Elizabethton Championship Game @ 8:30PM Tonight Sullivan South versus Unicoi Consolation Game @ 5:30 PM Tonight
  2. Elizabethton will be there this year
  3. Zeke Clark (point guard) from Elizabethton High School In 22 games he has played 652 minutes and averages the following: 21 pts, 4.7 asst, 3.6 rebs and 2.4 stls and his field goal percentage is a whopping 50%. That is unheard of for most guards. He has is definitely one of the best point guards in Northeast TN and maybe the state. He also has a 3.8 GPA and scored a 28 on the ACT.
  4. Zeke Clark is a good shooter. He spends at least four hours in the gym daily working on his shooting or in the weight room. His future is very bright off and on the court.
  5. Big game coming up Friday night! Which way do you think it will go?
  6. Actually the Clark kid played for the Chosen Few. All of these kids can get their shot off on their own which is pretty impressive. How many of these players will have their teams in the hunt for a conference championship is the question and maybe a substate birth?
  7. What about AA rankings in Northeast TN? Which teams in Knoxville are making some noise?
  8. That is a good list but we can't leave out Reppart at Daniel Boone and Nichols at Elizabethton
  9. The three players missing from Science Hill are not contributing a lot on the offensive end. Songster is a great shooter, but I don't think they would go undefeated in the Three River or Watauga Conference as they are in the Big 7 conference. The balance of power is changing
  10. Valentine is definitely solid and I forgot about Nichols. These two guys are filling up stat sheets this year and they are going to be a nightmare for everyone next season.
  11. Due to Science Hill top players transferring during the past three years, they have lost that offensive punch which have set them apart from the rest of the teams in Northeast TN. They still press the ball well on D, but their offense is lacking. Any team with two good scorers will push them to the wire or may even beat them. If The Hill had to go to Hampton this year, Hampton would walk out with the W. But we would never know.
  12. I am a basketball fan and I think Hampton is better than Science Hill right now at this point. Remember they did lose to the Hill in the HoF classic but that was game #1 for them. They are the best team in this area at this point in the season. I don't care how many players the Hill have and about their coach. The loss to Elizabethton & Greenville has shown their weakness. These guys in Hampton are playing great right now and should be #1. Elizabethton only lost one game in Knoxville and that was to Hamilton (prep school). Hamilton is full of D1/D2 talent.
  13. I don't know but I think it is pretty impressive. When Unicoi played at Elizabethton he did not impress me at all.
  14. I actually had the chance to see Reppart play last week and he is solid. If he had more talent around him, it could be scary.
  15. Coming out of Christmas Break it seems like there is no true top team in Northeast TN, but Hampton seems to play more as a team as the others. I have seen most of the quality teams except for DB & TN High but I do follow them online and in the newspaper. So here is my ranking as of right now 1. Hampton ( but can they beat SH or DB) 2. Science Hill ( they have two tough games next week @ DB & Elizabethton) 3. Elizabethton (lost to Hampton twice but are 4-0 against AAA teams including SH) 4. TN High 5. DB 6. David Crockett 7. Unicoi (have struggled as of late) 8-10. Toss a Coin
  16. How does everyone feel about the Three Rivers Conference?
  17. Zeke has no choice but to score. There was a 5 minute span in the 3rd quarter where no other player could put the ball in the basket. That is when Hampton put the game away for good. Elizabethton is not a balanced team on the offensive end and extremely young and it is showing. I think they are very lucky to have 6 victories this early in the season. Honeycutt is a good coach and I do not doubt he will have them ready come tourney time, but until someone else other than Clark or Nichols avg more than 10 pts then they will struggle against well balanced teams such as Hampton & Unicoi. My hat is off to Hampton, they are a solid team and I look forward to seeing them get better as the season progresses.
  18. This list needs to be rounded out with Zeke Clark (Elizabethton), Tyleke Love (DB), Calvin Songster (Science Hill), and Patrick Good (David Crockett). These guys can play and will be turning some heads this year.
  19. C'mon man, Hampton barely beat Elizabethton because the players took them for granted after the Science Hill win. There is no way they will beat Elizabethton again or Unicoi at all. Also, TN High is weak this year just as last year. DB is the real deal and I would love to see them play The Hill tonight. Everyone knows Crockett will be relevant by tournament time and Sullivan South is the quiet beast no one is talking about. Once their point guard gets rid of his football legs, they will be scary and push Unicoi for the conference title. 1.DB 2.Unicoi 3.Elizabethton 4. Science Hill 5.Hampton 6. David Crockett 7.Sullivan South 8. TN High 9.Sullivan East
  20. Zeke Clark is definitely in the top 10. He is a great point guard and excellent scorer. Everyone will see when Elizabethton plays @ Seymour on Thanksgiving Weekend.
  21. Elizabethton only has one senior returning, also. This is supposed to be a rebuilding year for them since they graduated 7 seniors from last year.
  22. You are right, Tyleke Love is a special player, but will he get kicked off the team again this year when he returns in January? Only time will tell. Patrick Good is also solid at this early stage. He will be great one day and I cannot wait to see him blossom in front of all of our eyes. I haven't seen Dillion Rapport play yet, but hopefully I will soon. Did anyone notice the triple double Ethan Rice (Unicoi) put up on Crockett Tuesday night?
  23. After watching Elizabethton (AA) beat Science Hill (AAA) this Tuesday night, there is no doubt who are the top 3 players in Northeast TN. All three of these players are guards and each one is averaging over 20 points per game this season. Zeke Clark (Elizabethton) & Calvin Songster (Science Hill) showed everyone what sets them apart from everyone else. Their ability to shoot the pull up jump shot is amazing. Zeke edges Calvin as the top player due to his ability to take the big shot and deliver. He also has to play a larger amount of minutes due to the lack of varsity experience on his team. Another is Tyler Nichols (Elizabethton), he maybe the most explosive player in the area who can get the front of the rim anytime he wants. The most exciting thing about him is he only a junior. What other players should be on the list?
  24. UC is loaded with seniors this year and EHS lost 8 seniors and only returning 1 starter but still have alot of untapped talent. South will be a good competitor in the race.
  25. Who is gonna take it this year? I think it will be EHS, Unicoi and South fighting it out for the Title!
