  1. I do wish Pickett would have gave Walker a chance. I am still on the fence about the new coach in Pickett Co. The games I watched him coach, he seems a bit too intense and tries to make examples out of the better players. This is just my observation.
  2. Clarkrange was down 15-1 after 1st quarter, came back and beat a good shooting Stone team 59-53.
  3. I don't think PC is technically West Tennessee (I'm not 100% sure though).
  4. Agreed. The 3 pointers were not falling, PC needed to attack more and not settle for the 3. However, FCS's defense played well.
  5. Some, but not to the extent you would think by the score.
  6. Yes. PC shot 3-28 from 3 point range and 5-13 from free throws.
  7. 38-34 (PC hit a last second 3 to cut the lead)
  8. Yes, that is what happened. The tech almost always goes to the person retaliating.
  9. Here is the link to the shot - http://www.tssaanetwork.com/highlights/1986
  10. Thanks westtnman! If anyone gets a chance to view it, do it. It is worth the view.
  11. Lake County hit a 75 foot shot to send to overtime and won. Does anyone have a Youtube video of that shot?
  12. Just stop ZST. There were signs that read Clarkrange above the seats. It wasn't Clarkrange's choice, it was Grace's choice to have them sit right behind the benches.
  13. Stop number 12 and 20 (their best player) and Friendship by 12.
  14. Yes - to the punching, No - to the water thrown. I was probably about six feet to the right of the incident and I was directly behind Grace's head coach. I felt water hit my face (left side) and the next thing I saw was the assistant coach arguing with the Clarkrange fan and the coach entered the stands. At that point the coach looked to be attacking the fan and the fan was defending himself. However, after a few seconds, the Clarkrange fan was the one that was being apprehended (siezed, not arrested) while the assistant coach roamed freely in the background.
  15. It would have been one thing if the person punching the Clarkrange fan was a student, but he was the assistant coach. I was sitting directly behind the Grace bench and I did not hear any "ugly" taunting. I am surprised that this situation isn't getting more attention. What happened was a very serious thing. Also, I realize people, students, schools, whether Christian or not, make mistakes, but it sounds like a cop-out when people say things like "It would be great if when people became Christians they also became perfect." Of course we are not perfect, but what happened is an assistant coach punched, numerous times, a Clarkrange fan that was in the stands. BTW, can someone post the video to youtube? I know someone was taping it, because I saw them.
  16. Nice, sounds like he has Perry Co. playing good ball.
  17. BTW, Number 12 and 20 for Grace were really good players. I believe one had 22 and the other had 24 of the total points.
  18. Is that Kirk Haston (graduated, I believe, 1996 or 97) that is coach? If so, we (Pickett Co.) played against him in 1995 State Tournament (first round). Perry Co. had some good teams in the 90s. Good luck in the Boro.
  19. I agree it is a disgrace, but it did happen and people could have been seriously injured from this incident. I felt the water hit my face too, so I am not sure whom threw what and where at, but Grace's assistant coach jumped in the stands and went after a Clarkrange fan, so I'm assuming it was that man he attacked that threw the water. However, with that being said, I felt as if the coach that did attack was ready to be mad at something after Clarkrange cheerleaders used Grace's chairs for a routine before the game started. The assistant coach got mad and told the refs and after that had the players drag their chairs on the floor. It was as if he was already mad and the water was the last straw. That's just my thinking. Being in a hostile environment, coaches tell their players to keep their composure and coaches must do the same. I asked the guy next to me before the game why are the Clarkrange fans directly behind Grace's bench. That is a recipe for disaster.
  20. Clarkrange battled back from 7 down at halftime to take a 4 point lead late in the game but couldn't overcome a few turnovers at the end. However, that being said, being at the game, I witnessed an event that should be brought to light. After the game, I was sitting directly behind the Grace bench when I felt water on the left side of my face. I turned to my left to see a Clarkrange fan in the stands shouting at an assistant coach of Grace (that was still on the court). Then after a few words, that assistant coach immediately jumped up in the stands and began punching the Clarkrange fan. (think Ron Artest situation a few years ago - Nov. 19, 2004) I don't care what happened, if water was felt, a coach should not jump in the stands and attack a fan. The whole situation was being taped, so I hope the proper actions are taken.
  21. I don't think Bibb and Mitchell were ran off. In any event, I wish PC still had Mike Buck as their coach. (Stone Memorial's coach).
  22. That's not necessarily true, sometimes it is matchups and how well a team is playing at that time.
  23. Come tournament time, I like it when the refs don't call touch fouls the entire game. However, it got a little out of hand during the Watertown and Clarkrange game on Tuesday night. The refs definitely let them play. If that is how the game is going to be called for the Regional Championship game, then Clarkrange better be able to break Friendship's press (if they choose to press). If anyone that has been watching Clarkrange, knows pressing them is a weakness (it wouldn't be a weakness if they passed through the press instead of trying to dribble through it). Anyway, FC looks like a strong team and will be difficult to beat, but it is possible. Good luck Clarkrange.
  24. The coach for Stone used to be our coach. One of his strengths is having a team ready to play come tournament time. His teams don't seem to get beat by much when they do (if they do) during the tournaments. I watched Stone play a few times over the pass couple seasons, it was fun to watch. Good luck to Stone.
