For the record I picked AC to get the win over the cyclones. AC had the advantage of home field. We all know AC has something to prove and they will have an opportunity come Friday night. i hope the best for AC, but I also hope the best for Greene! There's a few on here that would say Greene has it in the bag, but also some AC folks would say the same thing about AC. I have watched AC and I have watched Greene. Greene is more physical up front and on D and offense is balance very well, but AC has a powerful offense and AC seem to make thing happen when you think they can't and their defense is better than what they have been given credit for despite the Granger 40. Both are great teams and I personally think both teams want a win badly without a question. This game will come down to who plays the smarted on defense and is able to shut down the run and the most big plays. We all know both QB's can throw the ball and run, but this game will take a team effort and will need the whole offense to play better than the guy in front of them. Defense will be a dog fight and that's what I am looking forward to seeing. Who's going to wear out the fastest? Man you gotta have heart to play this game and coach it too! If you lose heart you might as well go home and the let the guy that has the heart step up. What a privilege we have to watch this game and be a part of it. These kids work hard week after week and they all deserve the respect.

one thing we know for sure is that after Friday someone will be licking their wounds and thinking about what kind crap they have talked on here. As long as your man enough or woman enough to admit and humble yourself/theself that you lost and can say it with dignity I can respect that!

Mavsinflight I can see that you are passionate about your AC football team my friend. I have not seen anywhere that anyone has called the AC team a cupcake. AC has a great football team and they deserve to be in the 3rd Round. The truth is the AC schedule has not been as tough as some of the other school and folks will try and run that in the ground, but honestly who cares what other people think! You can play the easiest schedule in the conference but if your good you are good no matter what. You guys are a 12-0 and that says something. Greeenville is 12-0 and that says something too. Whoever wins this game needs to support one another hold their head up high for making it this far and hope that east TN brings home the Gold ball. No offense to anyone out in the mid-west or west but we all from east TN want to see a east TN team WIN.

Question for cyclones1. Do you or did play football this year for Elizabethton or are a fan who goes to the games?

To mavsinflight..... Betsy played Greeneville good, but they never had Greeneville! I was at that game. The 1st half of that game is what folks would call nerves on the both sides and I will add that Besty had a great game plan coming in to the game, but the second half, it was Greene. Greene was just too much! As I mentioned earlier if anyone knows the history of the rivalry between Greene and Besty the game between the 2 teams is always a dog fight no matter which team has the better record or how tough their schedule was! The score should have been 24-3. The touch down that came in the final seconds from Betsy was on the 2nd/3rd string defense. I'm not taking anything away from Besty because they are a great football team. If they had some more depth then they may gone a little further in the playoffs? We can all say what "if" but in the end; the team with the higher score is the winner. We know AC has a great football team and they wouldn't be this far if they were not. However, Greeneville has an awesome team too! If I am being honest Greeneville has definitely played a harder schedule than AC, but at this point if your in the playoffs the regular season games have come and gone and both teams have earned their spot to play this coming Friday. Who really knows??? We can all have wishful thinking and hope that our school wins the next round, but in the end there's only going to be one team with the "W" and there's nothing anyone can say or do to change that! What a privilege it is to be able to get on here and talk and support all of our TN high schools.

To mavsinflight.... No! I am not kidding. I do believe both AC and Greeneville could play with any team in the state. I do believe they they both would have to play lights out against a few then. Also to leadfarmer.... I probably could have chosen my words a little better about the mid-west and west teams, but I am not going back on my words for recognition and respect for east TN teams either. My apologies if I came across disrespectful. I will add this though! Marshall is good football team and has some great players that probably should have been recognized along with many other teams as well. There's a lot of young kids that get left out sometimes that deserve it. We all know that not everyone is not going to sometimes get what they deserve, but what we can do is support each and every individual who is putting their heart and soul and hard work in for their team.

Answering the question for who asked "who is Besty" Besty is a great team! You could say that Besty didn't play their best against AC just like AC is saying they didn't play their best game against the Granger team that put 40 points on the score board last wk against them.....If I recall Granger did not score against Besty not even a field goal! And for the record Science Hill would give AC a run for the money if not beat them. Don't get me wrong a win is a win and congrats to AC on the win against a very good football team Besty! Please keep in mind that if someone is saying Besty was not a good team (a powerhouse team) then you could also say that AC still has not played any (a powerhouse team) yet this year. Besty was probably the best team beside the Granger team that scored "40" that AC has played all year! If Granger would had have a defense and better o-line it could have been a different outcome against AC last week. The real test for all teams left in this playoff run Starts this coming Friday 3rd Round! They'll be some that can talk the talk and win some games.....And then they will be "1" who is left holding the Gold Ball!

To leadfarmer's question about the smack talk. Read it in on some threads and mostly listening to the radio. We all know everyone has an opinion and the right to it. So I'll keep it saying it. I believe Greeneville and AC could play with any team in the state of TN and have a shot of winning. They have the 2 best QB's and wide rec. There's a lot of talent in East Tennessee and a lot of great kids sometimes don't get the recognition and respect they deserve.

So what was up with the cyclones? Normally Witten has them ready. Did the cyclones try and run the ball too much and not pass or did they just play like crap? Sounds like AC offense was hitting on all cylinders and the Cyclones just didn't have much to stop them.

This game will be a defense game. A close one! 9-7 Greeneville wins by a 3 point field goal. Any other time I would have picked Greeneville to win by 2 touch downs or more but I believe this is going to be defense game! I am sure DM is probably laughing at me but either team has not had a close low scoring game and it's time for one. We all need to be on the edge of our seats/bleachers and the crowd needs to be in the game supporting their team. This will be a gloves up blocking passes and shutting down the run. Both AC and Greeneville fans need to come out and support their teams and then the winner needs to go to Cookville and kick the crap out the mid-west or west team that makes it. I've heard a lot of smack talk of how much Crockett and Marshall C are both better than AC and Greenville or any other east TN team. I think AC and Greeneville are both ready and better than any other team in 4A. Like I mentioned earlier Greeneville or AC could beat any team I believe in the state of TN. Let's get the show on the road. Is Friday here yet?

Everyone wants to talk about Science Hill, Elizabethton, and DB down here in our neck of the woods. It's good that Greeneville is getting a little recognition. DB in my opinion was the toughest team Greeneville played. There's probably a lot of Greeneville folks would disagree and say Elizabethton. If you know anything about the rivalry between Greeneville and Elizabethton most of the games played have always been tight no matter how the two teams have been ranked or wins in their corner. I think Granger was a tough game for Greeneville despite the score. That Bunch kid from Granger is the real deal! That McGee kid from Chattanooga Central is awesome too! I personally think this has been one of the toughest and best schedules Greeneville has played in a long time. I think most of the teams in 4A are more evenly match this year then they have been in a long time except for a few of them. I hope these team play for years and build good rivalries. I think whoevers wins the Greeneville & AC goes onto State, but have to admit I believe this game is the game that should be played as the champion ship game; the best teams in east TN and I also believe both teams could play any team and probably win.

Agree! A wins is a win! This should be one of the best games of the year! AC & Greene. Man I can't wait! There's nothing like high school football and it's a privilege to be able to be a part of it. At this point any team who has made it this far is a great team and deserve recognition and respect!

Beside Elizabethton who was the toughest team AC played? Looking at the score with Granger you would think Granger, but Granger must have played their best game of the year that night and AC had a down game.

Who is excited? It's football time in GREENEVILLE!!!! Come on Cletus...bring the cattle to town....it's time to eats some steak!
