MJ looked good against BGA and Franklin. They dominated the last 10 minutes. Franklin's defense didn't have any answers for the Bears Offense. MJ scored every time they had the ball. The Bears looked good on D as well with the starters only giving up 1 score. MJ was by far the best of the 3 teams. Against BGA, MJ dominated and started playing their 2nd and 3rd string teams. BGA was able to score on 2 long runs vs the 2nd and 3rd string

Some of FCA's sophmores were not on that team and were playing ball at other middle schools. These were freshman that started or played a great deal last year.

FCA does have some very talented sophmores. They will be tough and only get better the next couple of years.

How did the championship play out between Riverdale and MJ ?

Wilson Central has a couple of very good freshman coming in. One is 6'3" about 225 lbs. and a heck of an athlete. Their defense should be pretty good and they do have a good coachiong staff. Station Camp has a very talented sophmore qb and the athletes to go with. Gallatin did get a very good linebacker coach. Don't overlook MJ this year. They lost some really good players but have alot of talent; especially in the backfield. Their freshman team went undefeated last year; so they have alot of good young players. Coach Perry and his staff will have the bears ready.

Seems to me that everyone should play by the same rules or guidelines.

Portland had some big boys on their freshman team last year. All the freshman teams were good; so there is a bright future in the district. There are a bunch of real good backs in the 9AAA this year ( Beach, MJ, SC, H'ville, Gallatin ) just to mention a few. I have heard that Wilson Central has some very impressive freshman this year. There will be alot of good games and it will be very competitive.

Beach, Mt Juliet and Hendersonville will have good teams. You can't count Gallatin or Station Camp out. It will be tough for anyone to get through the district undefeated.

If you were the TSSAA what changes would you make in the current playoff format? I have a problem with teams with losing records making the playoffs; let alone hosting playoff games.
