I really never understood the views of others before who have complained of public/private mixing until now. Always looked at it as win some lose some, but I guess it burns most at some point of high school involvement, and we got ours today. Anyway, good life, good luck, go pick a fight somewhere else on line, and preach what the tssaa enforces for you, cause this little part of the world is out of mine starting right..........now

Whatever! No cheapening of Summertown's accomplishments. Anyway, congrats to your kid's on the win. They work hard and have nothing to do with the politics in sports where money rules. You have no view from this side of the fence, so go judge yourself before you judge me. My beef is with the classification by tssaa, not with you or your team GCAPRIDE

Congratulations to the Summertown Eagles. Best "public class A" in the state! No recruits..... except for kids down the street in a town population under 1,000. Its so sad that the kids from small town usa get no respect from the tssaa by placing recruiting schools in the same classification. Money does a lot to keep them where they don't belong. It will never change, so in my opinion public schools should raise a fund to recognize their "best team" in all sports! Oh well, tssaa got nearly weeks payroll from my family over the week, and prevented my son from walking at graduation only to slap him in the face at the big house. But hey.... what an experience huh

Friday Loretto beat Perry County Summertown beat Collinwood Monday Loretto & Summertown meet as undefeated's in District tourney. Should be a great game!

Sounded like some great pitching from the Eagles Ambrose, and Franks. Not sure who pitched the start of 2nd game, but did a heck of a job as well!!

Summertown swept Giles County today in P'town 9-4. Beard pitched full game with only 1 earned run, bats looked good!

Summertown put's the sweep on Lawrence County tonight 13-3 in 6 innings! Summertown finally hit well thru 4 of the 6 innings. Beard pitched well. Believe only 1 actual hit allowed thru 6 innings of work

Summertown defeats Waynesboro 9-0, Tim Beard pitched well, but not his best by far. Walked 4 with I believe 3 hits in the game. Pitched 6 innings. I think overall Summertown's pitching isn't as strong as I thought it would be, but I haven't seen a team as deep as the Eagles are in the number of kids who pitch well enough to win in Varsity games. Hitting for the Eagles has been good, but needs to get much better over the next couple weeks to have a chance to win District/Region and make a run toward the 'boro again

Summertown completes the sweep today in Collinwood 16-3. Bats showed up big today. 2 homeruns by Franks & Beard added the 3rd Beard looked sharp pitching

After a tough road stint, Summertown finally gets back home for a double header against Collinwood. Summertown takes the first 2 games, with the 3rd tomorrow in Collinwood. Great pitching by Landrum and Riddle!

Great baseball, and great teams involved! Summertown fan base definitely travels well, but our bats did not. Not sure what to pin it on, but we are much stronger than we appeared. Need some rest, but won't get it yet. 10 of the last 11 have been road games. Takes a toll on you I think. What doesn't kill you should make you stronger. Lot's of good baseball! Thanks for the hospitality!

Summertown had, to say the least a tough week! 6 games in 6 days is quite a task no matter who you play. 3 games in the freezing cold, not to mention the rain. We still made it to the championship game in the Middle Tennessee Invitational! While we didn't win, I think our team may have grown and gotten tougher. We struggled at every phase of that game, Our pitching was weak in the final game, our defense was sluggish and sloppy (shout out to Luke Scott for center field play Saturday). Our struggle was with ourselves more than our opposition. The team scored 5 runs.....every one was unearned. To me that spells fatigue. Summertown has now lost 2 games this season by a combined total of 2 points. 111 - 39 is the scoring differential. Strong statement Eagle Fans! Continue to support our young men!!

Summertown has made it to the Middle Tennessee Invitational championship game against Creekwood on Saturday by defeating White Station (Memphis) 16-1, CPA 5-4, AND TODAY DEFEATING ENSWORTH 7-6

Eagles complete the sweep in Loretto 9-2!! Landrum pitched a great game. Eagle looks strong, hitting not quite where it needs to be yet.....but it's getting better

Eagles win 2nd game of 3! Score 7-1 over Loretto. Some good hitting. Not quite there yet with the bats! Giles hit a 3 run homer. Beard had a dominant, steady complete game win. 3 Hit's allowed and I believe 13 K's! Eagles look good!!!

Great game! Great Venue. Great win for eagles! Mustangs came out like gang busters!! Landrum has a lot more than that in the tank though! Think the moment got to him just a bit. Anyway 3 game series so lots more to go! Good Luck Eagles!!
