Its been a LONG time since NG beat SG. None of the current players for either team were probobaly even alive last time it happened. SG took a lump again Friday from CG. But....CG is 3-0...Unicoi is 2-1....Rockwood is legit....So how down really are the Rebels? Their losses havent been to slouches. What can be expected from NG and SG this friday night?

Unaka has given 2 hard fights in week 0 and 1 with Chuckey Doak and Happy Valley. NG had a sleeper with Tri Cities Christian then seemed to struggle early with Jellico. How does this conference opener pan out at Goddard? How healthy are the Huskies? The Creekers? Anything to look and watch for from either team?

BTW Bulldogs.....there is a Lineman Competition going along with the NG 7on7 this weekend. 10$ a participant up to 5 participants....any more than 5 it is a flat rate of $50. Pass that along. 225lb Bench Rep Max, Sledgehammer Swing, Tire Flip, 40yd. Dash, and Obstacle Course. Should be good competition.

I believe West Greene is supposed to scrimmage at Sullivan Central tomorrow afternoon. Heard they are having a pretty decent spring. Anything going on spring wise for SG and CD? And how's Gville lookin? NG...not in the BRAC but they scrimmage at Kings Academy and at David Crockett next thurs and fri I do believe.

So what is the situation with Cloudland? Judging by the last 3 or 4 pages of posts they hired a coach....but the news is nowhere out there. What's the deal? Did they hire or no? And their spring practice starts Monday? Do they have scrimmages set up or are they just practicing the allotted # of days? Also up in Carter County how is Hampton looking for spring? Are they starting up soon too and do they have any scrimmages set up? I hate to hear this Cloudland thing is still drawing out......cant be good for the kids,community,program, period.

Apparently Cloudland basically has a coach...its just not been made public yet. OK if it is this birchfield...what kind of effect does he bring to the program? Is it a work in progress or does he make imediate impact? Also, Cosby I agree should be a top tier team, but who are all these kids they are bringing back other than their QB, who was very impressive at times last season. I believe NG took a heavy hit with this past seasons graduating seniors. Hancock indeed lost I believe 14 of their 25 or so on roster. Whats the deal with Unaka? Seems like noone knows a thing about them. Can anyone get under that rock they seem to always hide under and shine some light on how they expect to be in 2012?

August is awfully close....and we all assume the schools in the mountain east conference have taken to the weightrooms now preparing for that opener come august. Who is everyones choice for tops in the conference in 2012? Hampton seems to always be the early favorite, and rightfully so. But who is everyone else bringing back this year? Cosby returns a lethal weapon in their QB if I understand correctly. Unaka was down but a program like that shouldnt be down for long. Will North Greene continue its climb? Who's that staff bringing back? And will Cloudland EVER hire a new coach? And if rumor holds true and the hire is from the inside as believed...how will this effect the landers in 2012? Let's Hear It!
