How will Ravenwood respond to their district championship? Can Franklin finally make a push out of 2nd place (where they have finished 5 out of the last 6 years). Can Indy replace their SEC commits. Can Centennial upgrade their two-headed offensive monster (Sanders and Hall). What will Brentwood do to try and return to the playoffs after their first postseason miss in a decade and a half. Can Summit and Dickson County contend for a playoff sport after both struggled last year. This spring each team will work hard and by this fall we may have some answers. Thoughts?

Your right about Dylan being at APSU. But I still think Dylan may have a slight edge because Michael redshirted his first year in College while Dylan did not.

I was deciding between those two and I felt that Arkansas State, where Dylan went, was a better school football wise than TSU, were Michael went.

Blackman is good enough where even if they lose this game, it isn't going to keep them out of the playoffs. But put playoffs aside, they are still putting a lot on the line. They are good enough to win this game, but Hoover is also god enough to take it to them by a few TD's.

Because it is only a one-year contract (unless they want to get to get off cycle, which would make finding a game in 2016 even harder) they should have played this game at a neutral site, perhaps at a central location like UA-Huntsville.

Franklin can match up well with many good teams. Crichlow and Garrison Mathew's shooting percentage appers to be the key to victory. Shot well vs Ravenwood and won. Shot like crap against Brentwood and got their ears boxed.

Ravenwood beat Brentwood at the bruins gym Friday night 49-47 in OT. Brentwood hit a 40-feet buzzer beater at the end of regulation but it was called back because of a Bruin timeout. Ravenwood took advantige to win in OT. Bruins lose first in district. Seats were filled and they even put overflow crowd in the aux gum to watch the game on a tv. This is the best rivalry in the mid-state and maybe the entire state. 5 of the past 9 have come down to the last possession.

Perhaps a change to the postseason format could allow for a change like this. But until then the odds are remote for a change to scheduling contracts.

a lot of alternatives are possible. One is a one year contract like some college teams do, and even play some of those games at a neutral site, like maybe play a season opener between two high profile teams (like a maryville or Alcoa) against a Rutherford county team with the game at MTSU or TTU to accommodate a larger crowd. Perhaps another option is 2-year contracts that span three years, for example Vandy played Northwestern in football in 2010 in Nashville and 2012 in Chicago, but didn't play in 2011. We could bring that to high school. I love the suspense every other offseason of finding out who will be on the schedule and I wish we could recreate this every offseason. Only issue is how hard it would be to find games this way but who knows only playing a team once could make this task easier. It is something different coaches would have different options.
