Rice is in way over his head. This isn't 3-aaa where you get to place Powell, halls, AC, HV etc every night. You can't finish 3rd-4th in 4-aaa at Bearden and expect to stay there very long.

Terrible honestly.

I never even heard about what happened to Freeman, having him atleast would have been huge. It just comes down to Farragut being a little young this year and not having the experience or leadership to close out games. How many times the past 7-8 years has anyone seen a Farragut team lose two late leads in the state tournament? I mean that never happens, but one thing Buck can hang his hat on is that he only has I believe 3-4 graduating seniors and should be loaded next year. Losing Simcox will hurt, but I think the Senzel kid has a chance to be even better than he was barring injury. Should be fun to watch next year, and good luck to all the remaining teams. Some great talent in the Boro this year, that's for sure.

Must be a tough situation for the Farragut seniors. It's never fun to be the ones who let the streak end, but they played very well this year but injuries and luck weren't on their side this time like in years past. Still, great run boys it was fun to watch. Just didnt have the pitching this year to hold those leads they had today. Gonna be cheering for Bearden to win it all now!

Should be another great day for baseball as Farragut tries to avenge their 5-0 loss to Arlington earlier this year.

I will say this will be Farragut's toughest road to the tournament since 2009 when they played a very good Collierville team twice, Blackman with Sisco, and MJ in the title game. Not sure Farragut has the pitching this year to win it again, but then again crazier things have happened.

Farragut 4-3 over MJ Arlington 6-1 over Riverdale Bearden 12-4 over Franklin WV with the upset 8-6 over Germantown

Makes me feel a little better then, Farragut has been stroking the last month and they usually only struggle if they have to face a stud so hopefully if they play one another it'll be an entertaining game.

Who are their best players/what positions do they play? I'm sure it'll be a low scoring affair though.

I think the Limbaugh plan would help the Farragut's, Bartlett's and Oakland's of the world even more than the current format does. I dont think many teams could beat a Farragut or a Collierville in a 3 game series honestly. But since these teams get to state nearly every year, I think it would allow very good teams to get into the tournament who may have run into a bad night at sectionals (such as Oakland in 2007) in the past. I'd be in favor of seeding the tournament by record and SOS and then doing an extended, MLB style playoff system. That would make for a very interesting state tournament.
