  1. Crazy to believe once upon a time Cody Finley would have been a candidate to coach at CW after the 2012-2013 season with Cheatham County. Eric Hatley is also someone else with a couple of roots in CW that should had been the head coach. Hopefully things will come together for CW.
  2. Art, I agree with Slim here. CC is in a down year, however last year this NCS team would have had the clock running the whole game if they played the old CC team. Unfortunately, this game will not be worth the drive. With no O-Line, this CC running game is far from what it used to be. Only 2 starters return on defense so there is no real leadership. The QB from CC played 3 games last year, but he is no where as effective as he was last year. No spring practice this year is showing on CC. I hope this new coach can rebuild.
  3. This Fairview team is full of play makers. CC beat them twice but I don't see another team having an O line like those guys had. Fairview could make a run.
  4. I feel like this won't be a trench war. Both teams don't have much size from what I've seen but have great skill players. This game will come down to big play makers.
  5. Even with everyone returning, the Cubs will struggle this year. Those kids returning haven't played 4 years like the 2012 seniors did. No one will ever be able to replace names like Mitchell Potts, Brady Bose, the 2 offensive tackles, and the short bowling ball of a running back. CC's offensive line was the most dominate thing I've ever seen against Fairview and Grundy. It was like the kids were breed to bull doze everything. That's just my 2 cents. Fairview maybe in the same boat
  6. From what I heard there could have been more. Some didn't take the offers they were given. Bose and Fields were both apart of the O-Line that ran through everyone in the district, and were a huge part of the dominate offense.
  7. It saddens me that a team went from 10-0, the top offense at one point, and were deep in the playoffs last year before being put out by a private school. With all the unfoldings over the last couple of weeks I have heard that actually some of the returning seniors the year have quit. Including the MLB Newman. I also heard if things don't change that there could be more. However, I'm a lighter note I would like to congratulate the kids from the 10-0 team who receive scholarships! That's a huge honor.
  8. I don't know much about the politics in the county, but from a team standpoint I believe CC won't be near as mean and as physical as we saw last year. CC had a team of giants if I recall there game with Fairview. What I have heard that is not the case anymore. Coach Jackson I'm sure (if he is head coach) will continue to teach what brought CC to the dance and that's their unreal running offensive and hit you in the mouth lineman.
  9. CC is graduating their huge O-Line for sure, and the QB Mitchell Potts
  10. #87, #54, and #67 will be sole reason the run game of CC will work, if they play bad, it could be less then a 300 yard game for CC, however if these three monsters play good, the striking power of the CC backs could make this a ball game.
  11. 35-28 Cheatham. CPA is good, but I don't think anyone can slow this frieght train that is Cheatham. Another element is this game IS NOT at CPA this time. It could be a huge part of this game
  12. The CC offensive line looked nasty tonight! #87, #67, and #54 were pancaking everybody. #30 is known for carrying kids 4-5 yard. Thanks for the respect Jacket
  13. Jacket! I would like to know what you think your Jackets will have to do to beat CC
  14. Jacket! I would like to know what you think your Jackets will have to do to beat CC
  15. 2 great teams who respect each other, makes it even better
