Thanks for the explanation. I still think all privates should be in one division though because they all recruit in some shape or form. But then again look at Riverdale in football so it can happen anywhere so its really hard to argue that because public schools get away with it to.

CAK was not by any means 6 goals better than Heritage. I hope they earned some respect from some people who saw them play that had not before. And Tarr is not all that CAK has. Their midfield passes the ball extremely well. People cant say "Without Tarr they would be nothing". If you take Tarr off of their team you have to take your best player off as well and see what happens. He is a striker and his TEAM does an excellent job of getting him the ball.

How long has Catholic not been division II? Im just wondering how many of their players were recruited that are still on the team. I think all privat schools should be in the same division jsut my opinion.

This was a really good game and very evenly matched teams. I wish some of those people who said Heritage was not near as good would have seen the game. they would have definitely had a different opinion. CAK passed the ball just a tad bit better that was the biggest difference. Both teams had several chances and it really could have gone either way. Im looking forward to this Heritage team goin all the way next year. Good luck to CAK as they try to 6peat.

Well 2 years ago they won district and most of their skilled players were young and they subbed a lot so a lot of players got experience. Last year there were only 3 seniors and they lost in the district semis in 3rd overtime and most of their best players were young so they were all still there this year. So doing so well with such young talent the last few years they have done nothing but improve. I really think winning the district 2 years ago really let them know how good they could be. And the best part is they only have 2 seniors (Who are going to be big losses) this year so hopefully the further they go the more experience they can get and build on it. There are not to many 1A schools with only about 350 students from 6th to 12th grade that have a jv team so its really great to see this program build. ....And like I siad the whole county and the whole area does really well in soccer so they have soccer players not just kids playing to fill spots on the roster. You actually have to make the soccer team at Heritage not just go out......I like to think that the seniors from the past 2 seasons have had a big hand in it to lol...Go Patriots!

I dont know how I forgot PJP and Portland two very good teams even thoguh Portland was down this year.

Heritage has not won a game this year off an opponent own goal so be more specific of what your talking about.

I also wanted to say how great it is that all the teams in this area are doing so well in soccer. Station Camp, Hendersonville, Merryl Hyde, White House (had a down year but usually really good) all sumner county schools. Heritage is just across the road and Goodpasture who is real close and pulls from the Hendersonville and the White House area. Many people must be doing some good things with the young soccer prgrams.

Just wanted to congratulate the White House Heritage Patriots on a great season so far and their accomplishment of going to the state tournamentand and winning 20 games!! This is just their sixth year of having an all men's team. They had three coaches in three years and two years ago had to pay for the own shorts and socks. Its just amazing to see how far they have come in every sport at Heritage especially in men's soccer. What I like most abouth this team is that they have just two seniors and they are not at all suprised at how far they have made it....take advantage of it boys becuase even though most of the team is young your not guaranteed to make it this far next year. I dont know about CPA's pks but Heritage's two were right to him he didnt even have to move at all. So you cant call those great saves it was just mistakes of the shooters. Plus some of the chances Heritage had were because the goalie couldnt catch the ball and dropped it with a wide open net 3 times but his defense somehow saved him. I didnt say he was bad but I have seen a lot better. Pint blank is exactly right....point blank right at him. Even te referees were talking about how Heritage was a lot better than GP. Im sick of arguing about this GP won and deserved it. Both teams have big games tomorrow

Nobidy is not manning up. Im just saying that Heritage was the better team overall. But GP finished on one of their few chances and thats how soccer goes. The fans for GP for the most part were respectable and the players play hard so I have nothing but respect for them....Good luck to GP in the substate game. Page and Giles County will play tonight becuase of a mixup with the fields. Im expecting Page to win. GP will then beat Giles and from what I have heard from someone who has seen both Page and Heritage play that WHH is the better team so I hope to see 2 region 5 teams in the state tourny. 2 out of 8 isnt bad....There is a small chance I will be at that game tonight so if I am I will give a scouting report for who ever GP will play.

I thought it was really close. The defense and the goalie sort of slowed down expecting an offsides call which obviously was a mistake. The guy made a good run it was hard to tell either way. I do think the ball was in the goal for Heritage though on a late shot i think in the second overtime. the goalie saved it but it sure looked like he brought it way over the line.

There is not a single person that was at that game, gp fan or WHH fan, that can strap up to a lie detector and not say that Heritage was the better team. Heritage shooting was off from deep which was good for GP whos goalie was not very good, he was not bad but not as good as CPA's or as many of the other teams Heritage has played. And yes GP had more shots on goal after they scored the first one but that was only the third legit shot on goal. All GP does is play kickball and run under it and if you have a good defense then you can win like that. GP defense was good they deflected several shots that would have gone in. Heritage was the better team though no question.

Goodpasture beat White House Heritage 4-2 in PK's. Heritage had a 1-0 lead and Goodpasture scored with about five minutes left. Heritage was the better team by two or three goals but its soccer and thats how it goes sometimes. Goodpasture had only 3 shots on goal and scored on the third one on a breakaway. Heritage had several more shots and three wide open nets and the ball jsut went wildly off the foot. Soccer kills me sometimes I dont know why I love it so much. Good luck to both teams it was a hard fought game. Both teams should make it past substate.

Yea I talked to the coach and its game on...Im very excited! Hoping for a good game with Heritage coming out on top and everyone stays inury and red card free.

Yes my friend, the game is at 7, but it looks like it is going to be pushed back to Friday because its not supposed to stop raining today and its not supposed to rain tommorrow. I really like their chances against Goodpasture and then Giles County if they win that....Its not like when we played and were were just happy to get where we were, this team expects it and they really are better than the teams that are left leading to state......Murfreesboro bound!

Sorry I cant give you an exact measurement but 25-30 yards is not much of a difference. And I also said that I would not have argued a foul call although I did not think it was one but it definately did not deserve a red card because it was not a goal scoring opportunity or anything viscious. Its just bad when even CPA's fans more than just 3-4 (and thats not stretching the truth) even did not agree with the call.

The referee was 25-30 yards out from the play. Denying a goal is also a save. The goalie laid out for the ball, and it was not an obvious goal becuase he didnt get beat. I thought he was giving the CPA a red card for obstruction because it looked more towards that than anything but o well its over and done and it was a great game I just hate to see a senior and 4 year starter have to sit out two games. He has not gotten a red card in all four years of playing and im almost 100 percent sure he has not gotten a yellow card. I guess I was wrong about the advantage then, I did not know that was the rule in high school. CPA has a very good goalie...I was very impressed with some of his saves especially since Heritage had so many chances on him....The White House Heritage goalie is also very very good, he was district 10A/AA Most valuable keeper, the combination of him and their very good defense is tough to score on.

He did not grab either according to the tape footage but according to the official he grabbed the ankles. And she definatley did get away luckily and she shouldnt have done that. I do think they should be consistent with what they called all season but that should not have been a red card at anytime of the season. I was just saying in a game like that it should matter and it should have to be something serious when you are taking a player out of a region semifinal game and in essence taking them out of the region finals and the substate game. You should make sure the call was right especially when you are 30 yards away from what happened

Ill actually be more suprised if Heritage loses, and I definately like their chances win or lose of going to state. About the lady going on the field, she is family of the goalie and like I said they have known the ref for years so she was upset, thats her brother and hes one of only two seniors so im sure her emotions just got to her. Talking someone (I will not name) said they watched the tape and the ball was shot, the goalie laid out for it and the player went down but even the player just jumped right up with no emotion and played on. They said that they would have agreed with a foul called and a pk and even a yellow card but it was nothing viscious or purposeful. Plus the magnitude of the game it should take a lot to get a red. The ref said he grabbed him by the ankles and pull him down but like I said afer talking to someone who watched the tape they said it was not true and a accidental foul at most.......About the stoppage time I know pretty much the rules on it...not in depth like the post but the referee said six minutes of stoppage time and the corner was taken around 8 minutes and 30 seconds. I realize you cant call untill advantage is gone but Heritage had jsut cleared the ball shortly before that.

I may have stretched it a little lol but he did talk to both coaches I was actually standing with them when he was talking to the Heritage coach and they were just shooting the crap nothing much but he did say he was going to let them play which was another reason I was suprised by the call. He lives in Nashville now and the CPA coach actually said jokingly are we gonna get some Nashville help tonight and the ref said "if you only knew the histroy" so, I think mabe he just wanted to show he wasnt going to be one sided towards Heritage and went a little to far. It was great to see the better team come out on top though and dig so deep even being a man down

Thats the irony of it I dont know why he would do something like that. He talked to the goalies dad for a good 30 minutes before the game and they were talking about when he was growing up playing and everything. And you would think that somebody should have to physically punch another player to get a red card and have to sit out the region championship and substate game.....and the eight minutes of stoppage time was jsut rediculous I have no idea why they got eight minutes. He said two more minutes when it was already five minutes into stoppage and they got a corner 3 minutes later. I understand you play untill the advantage is lost but he called the first half while Heritage was line up for a croner so I didnt understand why the call wasnt the same for both teams

Very good game. Very questionable officiating. The goalie is one of just two seniors who has been starting for 4 years and is the Most Valuable Keeper of the district. Got a red card on a very bad call, the ref said he got beat and pulled a player down by his shirt but the goalie did not get beat and did not even grab the player. He laid out for the ball, I dont think the player even fell to the ground. So CPA got a pk and then they scored on a corner in the 8TH MINUTE OF STOPPAGE TIME! 8 minutes is rediculous! But Heritage was the better team its just a shame the goalie doesn't get tp play in the next 2 games. The funny part is that the ref is from White House and has known the goalie and his father (the coach) and many other players for several years. Hats off to CPA very good game and very respectful fans.
