  2. I'm so sorry to hear what happened...I normally don't get on the baseball message boards, but today I decided to & read Jackie's story. We had one of our baseball players collide during practice & he had to be lifeflighted to Vanderbilt. We were over at the softball field for our practice & we had to stop because we were all so upset...we're close with our baseball team & love them very much! We weren't sure who it was or how serious. It was scary! Jackie & his family are in our prayers over at Rossview!! We wish you a speedy recovery & hope you come home soon!
  3. Your father was the first pitching coach that I ever went to. He was an amazing man! My entire family thought the world of him! We were very upset when we heard what happened. I'm very glad that there are memorials in honor of this wonderful man! I'll will be sure to admire them & keep your family in my prayers. I will be sure to sit on the bench & remember him. I loved him very much! He was so wonderful with all the girls that came to him for pitching lessons. He taught me a lot! Mr. Gary Martineau will never be forgotten!
  4. Rossview has beaten Dickson twice...Dickson is a very well coached team & they're great girls!
  5. Good Luck to you Jennifer! I hope you have a speedy recovery! I'm a pitcher also & I know I would be devastated if I were told I couldn't pitch for a while or anymore at all! I'm sure you'll be back in the swing of things before you know it! Make sure you don't come back too soon..I hate to see people come back before they're fully recovered & hurt themselves even more! I hear Lebanon is pretty tough this year! We haven't had the pleasure of playing yall yet, but there are a couple of tournaments yet to play! We might just see you there! Well good luck with everything once again! I'm sure I'll see you around!
  6. I've just come from the hospital and all Coach B wants to know about is how practice is going and how the team is looking. He's looking pretty good himself. He said that he'll be going home either tomorrow or Friday. I can't express enough how much everyone's prayers have meant! I know what it's like to have a family member in the hospital who has suffered from a heart attack. It's extremely scary & it shook me up for a while. It's really hard seeing someone you love in a hospital bed. My grandfather is fine now & Coach B will be back to normal soon enough! He's also hoping to be back to coaching by about Spring Break. I can't wait! There's just one thing he's NOT ALLOWED TO DO....touch the tarp EVER AGAIN! I've already told him about this rule. Well please continue to pray for him & his family they're amazing people and we love them all! As for the rest of you coaches, exercise regularly & take care of yourselves!! Believe it or not you really do have an impact on your players & we care about you a lot! I'll be sure to keep everyone updated as soon as I know anything else. I'm sure Coach B will be on here as soon as he gets home. He loves CoachT and is usually on here every day. I love it too because it can be very useful as you can see & is really informative. Until the next update, I'll be seeing you all on the field hopefully along with Coach B.
  7. *Update* As of now they've put a stent in and are supposed to be moving Coach B out of ICU & into a room. He's doing much better! For those of you who know Coach B personally you probably know how he is. He's absolutely hating it in the hospital and is insisting on coming back and coaching ASAP. Please just continue to pray for him & his family. Thank you for those who have replied & have been praying for him. I know he appreciates it. If anyone would like to send cards or anything that don't know his address or Gateway's I would be glad to give them to him myself if you were to send them to me. I'll post my address if anyone would like that. Ashley Elrod 524 Woodland Drive Clarksville, TN 37043 or I'm sure Mr. Mcwhirter, our AD, would be glad to do the same if you chose to send anything to the school. 8. Rossview's softball coach, Phil Burkhart, had a heart attack at around 4:00 AM this morning. He is in ICU at Gateway Medical Center. We're hoping that he will be moved out of ICU & into a room tomorrow. Please keep him & his family in your thoughts & prayers! Thanks!
