Barney, That's not going to be an issue. The plan is to name the coach by the end of March at the very latest. That would still give the new coach a whole month to get to know the players before spring practice.

You gotta respect Ridge more after reading that article.... He pretty much said (in not so many words) that he didn't live up to the fans or his own expectations and wanted to give the reigns over to someone who could do a good job. That shows alot of character and maturity in my opinion. There are so many coaches that let their egos get in the way of success and i'm glad to see that this isn't the case with Ridge. I think we are lucky to have Ridge as our AD. My hat goes off to him.

Not many people know what's going on right now and the people that are in the know aren't saying anything. They are keeping their cards very close to their chests.

Guys, This may not have occurred to you but the East Tn media does not really talk about Middle and Western Tn high school teams unless they are playing an East Tn school. So maybe you can understand why some people from East Tn are not familiar with Trousdale County. The only reason I am somewhat familiar with them is because my brother played for Mcminn Central when they played them in the playoffs 10 or so odd years ago. And I wouldn't have known Kevin Creasy was their coach if I hadn't read it on here. That's why I like coacht, it gives me more exposure to more teams and their fans that I wouldn't get elsewhere. But I am a WB fan and I'm mostly concerned with keeping up with them and the teams we play. I think it's important to keep that in mind before you go insulting people's intelligence. I highly doubt y'all have extensive knowledge of what is going on at WB or other East Tn schools but I wouldn't call y'all an idiot for not knowing about them. So drop the high school shiz and act respectable.

Gov91 will be strength and conditioning coach. I will have the team watching Richard Simmons work-out videos. It will give us the winning edge.

The article from the daily times leaves more questions than answers. But atleast we know that there is some truth to all the rumors. It will be interesting to see how this washes out.

While I don't think they'll be contenders I think Heritage will fair better in 5A. I wouldn't be surprised if they win enough games to squeak into the 5A playoffs.

When Rhea County beat OR in the playoffs they had a big guy that had 2 TD catches in that game. The guy bobbled both catches 3 or 4 times and almost dropped both of them but because he had all the time in the world and was wide open he was able to hold on and score. If he had any guys on him there was no way he would have made either of those catches and it would have been a different game.

I think their best bet would be to have Nuchols as the starting RB or maybe Kam Miller. Other than those two I'm not sure who else they'd look at. As far as defense goes I think they have nowhere to go but up. It would be awful hard to give up more points than they did last year. The funny thing was Ridge said that the defense would be the strength of the team, particularly the defensive line that returned all of the starters. I don't know what to expect from the defense this year but I can't see them being as bad as they were last year.

I'm assuming he'll take turnover out of the playbook.

I guess all this bad weather is keeping GQ from getting over there to do the paperwork.
