  1. help me out here. I played when redone was the coach at LA.
  2. after talking to my son tonight about your players and he met alot of them I would like to tell the CC supporters that the team of young men you put on the field tonight are a class act. with the way the game was going they could have acted a lot differently. In most cases that because they have had good people around them that have that expectation from them and for that congratulation.
  3. that pretty much lines up with other sources. this is looking like its going to be a game if both teams show up ready.
  4. it wasn't an injury. was with him Saturday and hes good to go. practiced yesterday.
  5. you may be right but keep in mind you didn't see Eldridge. Trust me with him on the field everybody gets a little better on both sides of the ball for LA. That would include #18,#5,#2 and yes #4.
  6. you are correct. You are not lacking in team speed nor size in the middle of that O line. If we had those 3 to keep our guys from going both ways. I would say we were going places. Are you guys that much better than Hixon? I just watched the film on that game but sometimes film doesn't tell the whole story.
  7. I think you would want the Puckett from his Junior year. He seemed to have lost some weight or something his senior year and was just a bit off from his junior campaign. I only saw him in 2 of his last 3 games that year. Not a backhanded dig from an LA fan, but thought he may have been banged up late in the season as most were because we were all good enough to beat the crap out of each other physically that year. Great player none the less. As for db's I would think McCoin and/or Hollars might fill some secondary roles and the short kid from DeKalb that was such a good cover corner.
  8. Not to worry we are not intimidating. Using the football pregame eye test I would say you will be pretty confident. Example, just guessing you can correct me if I'm wrong, WC guards one guard over 300 and the other @ 275. Our guards @ 365 total. As a matter of FACT you have bigger, taller and faster players than LA. I also agree with your take care of the ball comment, see my previous post.
  9. their center and guards are BIG. The RG over 300 and can pull like he's 270. their tb has great speed and vision. We will have to keep him in front of us and the middle clogged up or we could have some serious problems. They have a solid defense, with one stud MLB. Their corners have more speed than we are use to by far. Can't leave balls in the air to long. Everyone knows there is no next Friday Night if you don't win tonight from here on out. so every underdog in the playoffs are playing with a chip on their shoulder and a nothing to lose mentality. if its 4th and 4 go for it. Remember Bowden's Auburn team? They don't seem to sub a lot of players like a Hixon or Fulton, so our 2 ways only see 2 player instead of 3 or 4 during the night. If we can create some turnovers ie. CAK to create extra possessions we have a good chance because of our ability to score.
  10. Thank you. Luck, prayers anything positive we will take. I also wish your team they same. I would like to know the feel on the mountain. Are you glad you get another shot at the Bees or would you rather both tams have a shot at going deeper into the playoffs as 8aa reps and possibly get that chance a week later.
  11. guys for this group I think we could talk McCoin out of retirement.
  12. LA only had a couple of senior starters on the 2013 team but Creekbaum would have been a great addition.
  13. Just a quick question on this one. Since LA already didn't have Eldridge playing and you suggest taking Linder from the equation. Remember our backup is the same player that ran on you last year. Remember the outcome? I would suggest if you take away Probst from York and we would play to the same out come with a bit lower score and a little less exciting but the same outcome none the less. Just a side note York is probably the most physical team we've played all year. They were much improved and I believe we both helped each other get prepared for next week and I wish your team and especially the seniors a deep run. Good luck
  14. Let me toss this this one out and see what some thoughts are. I know almost everyone saw the LA 2012 team. Some once, twice (DeKalb)possibly three times if you watched us play Fulton. If you take that team and plug in, you name your players here, just a few of the best remaining players in the district so we don't have 70% of our players going both ways. Keep in mind at half time LA was leading with no fluke plays and Fulton was mouthing at each other and heads down at the break. It is my opinion that with a majority of players going only one way LA not only wins that game but the state. I also believe the 2012 Fulton team (could) have beat Maryville, Alcoa or Ensworth that year. Great topic. This years team would have an unbelievable amount of skill players but might struggle at the line of scrimmage but I haven't see Fulton yet.
  15. not every player gets caught up in the foolishness that we all put out there. for instance my son does not read any of this and had rather mention any of this onnhere. so I do watch what I say asnmuch as possible. he. wont let his baseball coach give him his stats.. hes pretty sure his stats will not drive the ball in the gap late in the game. you may know him. I thinkyou have lined up acroos from him a center for la the last couple of years and even ate with him at the all district banquet.my sons thinks highly of you. hope you don't mind but we do do have you in. a couple of his recruiting. highlights. yes you are relevant in that you set and left a bar by which others are measured.
  16. I'm not sure what UCM statements were intended to imply he was downgrading Gill or MIlan. I think anyone would agree that saw them play, their play spoke for itself (ETSU/ W&M). I wish Milan could have made made it the rest of the season. I would really liked to have seen him play against LA. I will respectfully say if in anyway you, as a DC fan, thought his comments were downgrading to MIlan and Gill I would not have made the above comments about the UH player. I think both of you were making comments about coaching choices and both of you may have a valid point on which to speak. Good luck the rest of the season.
  17. Yes. Having seen both teams play over the last 2 weeks. IMO the definsive/team speed of SC will be a measurable difference. The thing I felt from SC is they still looking or maybe just begining to find their idendity. SC wins this one but i would advise you to not let CC hang around to long.
  18. Who's qb is hobbled? Hixon's lineman are bigger and more athletic than Macon. They also go 3 deep on the D-line in a couple of positions. This is the type game our coaches knew would be coming when they started rotating as many athletes in early in every game. Their plans obviously goes beyond week 10.
  19. UCM I've seen him play twice well actually once (SC) and about 10 plays or so when LA beat them 20 - 7 in the 2 qtr. Scrimmage. The Angel kid is a talented specimen and I believe he will play at the D1 level. Vanderbilt may be a good fit for him out of the offers we have heard he has. I do agree with you that the offers may be based on '' upside'' You obviously have a good understanding of the early offers then VERBAL commitments. Sometimes even offering one kid and USING him as leverage to sign another kid. Collateral damage! I also like the other WC transfer he is very impressive. He will, in my opinion, have some quality schools needing his skills on Saturday's. I'm aware of another Ckville kid that has a couple of D1 schools looking at him. Can't say who at this time per family request.
