like i said earlier , i have been a charger supporter all year. i have heard the dyersburg football people say that wheeler does it alone , his staff is not that good. then i wonder , why would i listen to them , because i have given my opinion about the dyersburg staff , i dont think they do a good job either. i believe they are happy going 9-1 and making the playoffs. that wasn't the mindset when coach counce and staff was here. they played hard and coached hard all year long. i bet all dyersburg supporters believe that. haven't heard from son of mandingo lately , what do you think?

charger fans if you have read my post in the past , i really admire your program. i wish that the dyersburg program would follow your lead and work harder to be successful like covington. i am just stating that coach wheeler must be a good coach to get his teams to this point every year. not having a good feeder program , because your middle school team is not coached very well , your freshman team is not coached well and never successful. i can't remember when covington freshman , jv , or middle school team has ever beaten dyersburg. dyersburg is successful in all of those areas and it seems when they get to varsity , they get beat by covington. so , i am saying coach wheeler must be turning them around their sophmore year with teaching and hard work. i will be there friday night to watch yall beat trezevant. p.s. fsunoles will you be there , after reading your post , i have figured out that you must be the girlfriend of one of the charger football players. no parent or player would brag on the players like that.

good job , but one thing . ivy league schools dont give athletic scholarships. you might re check that.

now , after getting that off my chest. let me talk about the chargers and trezevant. if covington comes out and plays good football they will win. if they play like dyersburg they will lose. trezevant has already stopped one wing t offense this post season , i hope they cant stop covington. like i have said in earlier post , coach wheeler is a good coach , he did a great job at ripley with no administrative support and a very weak coaching staff. from watching earlier games this season , he seems to be in the same situation with a young coaching staff that can't seem to stay under control and loses their cool very easily. i have been told that it is hard to keep players in the middle school program in covington because of the lack of coaching , they haven't had a successful freshman team in many years because of poor coaching , and the varsity assistants are young. so it seems that coach wheeler is doing a lot to get this team to the championship. i hope coach wheeler has alot of success and brings back a gold ball to west tn. fsunoles i hope you finally grow up one day and realize that this years covington team is good and they have good players , but this team is not as good as some of your charger teams in the past. like the ones with the ashford boy at qb, and the running backs of antonio gaines , darren white , and the one back that was very good , i think is name was boykin. those teams made the championship and lost . this team could win it all , but those teams were better. i have seen these teams for many years. probably longer than you have been alive. so quit being a "homer" and realize there have been other good teams.

i haven't posted in a while , because i have been under the weather and very disappointed in my trojans after the trezevant defeat. i knew it was going to be a tough game , but the trojans came out very unprepared and were out coached and outplayed by trezevant. another season of disappointment from my trojans and coach stowe and staff. our lack of toughness shows every year in the playoffs from playing a weak schedule. i hope we upgrade in the future.

easy augelio , no one called you a turncoat. you and me are much alike , we both have been to our share of dyersburg games , and both think alike in many ways. we both believe that our program was in better hands when Coach Counce was here , and it is taken coach stowe a little time to get the program back to that level on a winning way through strong leadership that Coach Counce use to provide. i hope bart will get us there. after much thinking and hearing you say , augelio , that you like to go to top notch games. you want to go to the covington / milan game? i am going to make that trip a little farther south , than ripley , to watch dyersburg. i believe my trojans can handle them. ripley has been pretty bad since coach mcadams left , coach wheeler at covington now , didn't have much success there from the lack of support from the school and he didn't have a good staff to support him on the sidelines. he seems to be doing fine now , since he is back to where he started. i have heard all good things about him in covington now. i believe the chargers will win this game by a couple of scores. here are the reasons why. johnston white is a good back that want go down on the first hit , tough and quick. carlos williams will demand attention and do his share when given the chance. the kid that is the qb this year is so much better than the one they had the last few years , the kid in the past fumbled several snaps against dyersburg . the main ingredient i see is that the offensive line is so much better than last year. watching film from last years game against milan the covington line was slow and couldn't get the linebackers blocked. the center for covington was slow and couldn't move , maybe that is why they had so many bad exchanges to the qb. this year the line seems small but plays much bigger and stronger. i hope covington wins , that would put dyersburg a little higher in the rankings and hopefully give us 3rd round game with the chargers.

well , well ,augiello you come back to support dyersburg when they start winning. you probably didn't see the williams kid catch 2-3 passes against dyersburg including a touchdown , probably because you were watching henry county. well , i did , he is a great player , i noticed in other games he didnt touch the ball but they had 2 people trying to cover him , he takes the attention of 2 players or he will beat you. i am a dyersburg supporter and hope we have another chance to play covington. coach stowe and the trojans have been getting better since the beginning , i was pretty hard on them early in the season. augeillo you are a disgruntled fan and a "homer" , support our district teams and be a fan.

noles fan you must be a player chaser that likes to ride on good players coat tails. you need to calm down , and look for facts . he is fast but not as fast as you want him to be. i am glad he has a baseball scholarship , he is a good player that deserves it. i have been told by his baseball coach at covington and coach mathis at dyersburg that he is a wonderful kid , maybe you ought to take some manners lessons from him. look at the tssaa website dyersburg is in the other quad so they want match up until the 4th round. like i said covington will win , but if they lose they will fall to 3rd in the district behind south gibson and milan.

i have seen milan and covington this year , and i will say covington is a better team. fsunoles you are putting some incorrect information on the board. yes , carlos williams will be the fastest player on the field , but he is not carl lewis. he was not the fastest player at the lsu football camp a couple of years ago , he was 3rd fastest at that one camp, that is what his baseball coach had told us. he did have the 3rd fastest time in history of that event at a baseball showcase this summer around a 6.18 60yd sprint. none of the alabama or lsu football boards ever show him being offered a football scholarship. from what i have been told he wasn't even offered baseball scholarships from these schools. maybe you ought to pull some strings and see if jimbo fisher will give him a scholarship from florida state , they could use some help down there. next , dyersburg will not play the chargers in the 2nd round unless something goofy happens in the next 2 weeks , it will most likely be the 3rd or 4th round. after stating all of this , mr. fsunoles get your facts right before you post. we are trying to keep this a credible board.

easy ChargerFan , it is hard for us UT Vol fans to cheer for our football team as well. I am a Vol booster , but not a serious vol booster. Y ou must pay big money and have seats by the big wigs on the fifty yard line and a luxury box at the liberty bowl and courtside seats by Penny Hardaway at basketball games. Are your seats that good at the Charger games.

i will say this about the charger football team , they are a talented bunch of young men. After they played dyersburg early in the season , i was so intrigued by them, i went and watched them a couple more times , but i will say this my trojans are getting better. maybe some tough love have got the trojans fired up. i always hate when people try to compare teams from the past to the present. The charger teams in the late 1990's and early 2000's was a very dominant program , with kids going to several d1 schools. several players going to UT with great careers. The whole district was much better during that time period. The district now is very weak , compare any teams from then til now. this a good team , but it would get beat by teams in the past. Waiting to see a good return grudge match between the chargers and trojans in the 3rd round. Probably will be a different outcome than last time. ChargerFan look into your crystal ball , and predict me an outcome. I also saw where you were a tiger football fan , I cant believe you would admit that. HaHa

when milan got into this new district them and martin wanted the scheduling to go their way and talked gibson , s. gibson , crockett to go along with them. coach morris wanted to play all of the single a teams. maybe they should ask TSSAA if they can have a gibson county special school district to compete in. Them and martin cry about who they have to play every year.

i have seen the chargers play dyersburg , munford , and brighton. They seem to get better each game i have seen and by the score against crockett co. that game too. last year though , it seemed that they got out coached or were overlooking teams they beat earlier , like dyersburg. For covington to make a deep run in the playoffs their qb play has to get better , he misses way to many open wr , and his scared to death to run the ball ,except for the brighton game they just missed the ball. Covington will get beat if they dont improve , because some of the other teams will. they have more athletes than the teams in the district , but what will happen when they run across some of the athletic teams from memphis. i am sure charger fan can give us an in depth look at the future with all of his stats and figures from the 21 websites he looks at each day.

Dyersburg played covington a good game last week with good sound defense. The defense brighton ran with 11 men in the box was terrible , if covington would have caught the ball and the 3 touchdowns that were called back , the chargers would have scored 60 points aginst a 6a team. it makes my trojan defense look a little better. Like a said i always like to see the smaller schools win. This win will make our lose to covington look better in the playoff system.
