  1. I don't know who "they" are but I never said any of that.
  2. Well, I guess all I can say is congratulations. I'm still not "lovin'" your PA guy but you guys beat the best team DeKalb has ever had twice to prove it wasn't a fluke the first time. Good luck in the playoffs. I guess I'll find something else to do with my Friday nights now. Lesson learned: Football is kinda like eating if it leaves a bad taste in yhour mouth the first time, don't be in a hurry to go back for seconds. Again good luck and see you next year. Darth Tiger
  3. Obviously not catching the ball was causing some pretty core problems. I dont even know who a couple of passes were intended for. LA has a strong running game that I felt we should be able to match #### for tat but we couldn't... or at least we DIDN'T.
  4. I hope so too. And if so I'll try to make sure that the boys bring their "A game" I saw it sitting in the parking lot Friday after I got back. LOL In all seriousness I do hope we have a much better game next time. I was just shocked Friday night. I know that colder weather can make it hard to catch... I dont know... I dont want to make excuses for them. I'll just have faith that it will be a better match up next time. For the record, I was never one of those saying we would steam roll LA but I did expect it to be a very close game.
  5. I intentionally stayed away because I was just so frustrated but hey, you guys won. Congratulations. That is about all I can say because I know our players read these boards and I know they are well aware of what went wrong. We have to leave the pointing out of mistakes to Coach Trapp but it is fair to say that this is not the team I watched for nine weeks prior. In other news, the ribeye sandwiches were very good and some nice looking women you have up there. I almost wanted to move up there myself. LOL
  6. Might as well to have said Cannon vs Macon if you wont to go for ridiculous.
  7. You might be on to something there. This game is what both teams need to get ready for the play offs.
  8. Quad 2 is phenomenal! Based on my coin operated crystal ball, for DeKalb to go all the way (and I am ready for 1,000 posts telling me that we won't) we would need to beat this line up: Week 1- Marshall County Week 2- East Hamilton Week 3- Giles County Week 4- Greeneville and then meet up with I am guessing Covington in Cookeville on week 5. One thing is for sure though, no one could say we were doing so well because of an easy schedule.
  9. Oh, I'm here. I am just listening for the most part though. I have said all along that this will be close. It will be the kind of game for all 4 quarters that DC vs SC was in the first half for the last two years. Regardless of who wins this, we all have to hope that there are no serious injuries as I think both teams will still be around for a rematch in round 2
  10. I sure hope the guru is right! I was thinking more along the lines of DC-33 LA-31 (LA settling for a field goal at one point)
  11. Nope, I just know the coaches fairly well. And while our bye weeks have historically spelled disaster I think there is a decent amount of wisdom that has built up from that. Coach Trapp will not let these guys get to lax and blow it after a perfect season.
  12. It's Macon. I am sure you can take them with your 2nd and 3rd string alone. We could have (and perhaps should have). Our only injuries should be well healed in time and the Tigers should come in at 100% barring some really crappy unforeseen event like an injury during practice or some other out of game event. oh and Tigerpride, no worries they were in there today, they are not relaxing but staying focused.
  13. I've been to every DC game and in all of those games I distinctly remember seeing some of the younger players in them, most within minutes of the start of the 3rd quarter. Now, I won't knock LA and pretend that they do not have a good team also, but I would feel very confident if I knew our 2nd and 3rd string was off on a different filed having a simultaneous game with yours.
  14. I am pulling for York... but I think the odds are against it.
  15. Close to what? Macon county? Cannon county? LOL
  16. I am thinking blowout. They'll be lucky if they win the coin toss. Dekalb 55 (Driver will miss on one kick) Macon 0
  17. And what will they say if it turns out that we are both the "real deal"? A close game between these two schools would probably have all the haters saying that neither of us are the real deal as oppossed to both anyway.
  18. To make it interesting DC should have "senior lay out day" for that game otherwise it will be just pitiful. Need to avoid unneccesary injuries as well as previewing next years team.
  19. Not that I want to give him a big head when we still have a lot of football to play this year but... this is from last year and he has benn significantly better this year. It will be a shame if he doesn't go onto play for a decent college team regardless of size.
  20. I think that York versus SC will be an awesome game and closer than either side wants to imagine; probably as intense as the first half of the DC/SC game. Manning is fast but only one guy. York has several fast players especially #20 I think it is. Because the defense needs a bit of work for both teams, I am expecting a high scoring yet close game with both teams having a final score in the high 40s. If either side thinks they have this one in the bag they may be very disappointed.
  21. Its 2012 and I think one of the Doomsday prophecies is DeKalb taking state. lol
  22. He cant watch it live if he is at Greeneville watching them. I am really hoping to eventually see DC vs. Greeneville.
  23. Last year Tigers beat the Dragons 37-10 @York. York has gotten a lot better, so have the Tigers. I think it will be a good game just like Smith County was and I do not think anyone should assume it will be an easy victory... but I do think it will be another DeKalb victory.
