  1. I have to agree about Rachel. She is a great all around player and a major catch for T. Tech. With the right coaching in college, she could achieve great things. I hope her coach in college encourages, or requires her, to shoot more. She is so unselfish that she kills her own stats sometimes. But I guess that is what makes her such a great team player. Plus she can rebound like all get out. She will do great things in college. Good Luck Rachel. Sorry I have not been out to see you play more this year. I will watch on you ESPN one day. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. MVP will be Glidden. She won it last year and won the D Tourney MVP also, although I thought the tourney MVP should have been Bell. I would put either up against any other guard in the state. All District Team (of the girls I know) Glidden Bell Horn Duke V. Pincheon And Several others Coach of Year. Undefeated in District Play gives Hall the edge. However, with the team he has, he should be undefeated in District play. Go undefeated next year in district with Glidden, Bell and Horn gone and Hall should be coach of the decade. What Coach has done the most with the least? Who has gotten the most out of their team? Santa Fe has not reached the level we expected unless they pull off an upset in the tourney. Moore County and Cornersville are about where their talent and experience says they should be. My vote goes to Matt Miller at Cully. He has them winning some games (a big change) and believing in themselves and playing hard every night. RICHLAND RULES
  3. Did they change the rules? I thought only top 4 teams go????? A 5 seed would not go.
  4. NO, from your posts we would never had guessed you were from Jackson County. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Shoot, as big a homer as you are I would think you owned stock in Jackson County High School. Hey Midten, Are you going to join CoachT Plus??????????
  5. Hey TIDEFAN, R U from Lauderdale County??? In particular, Rogersville?? [/quote MIDDLE TENNESSEE AREA Thanks. I knew an Alabama Fan who went by tidefan on a website in Florence. I am a big Auburn Fan (went to graduate school at Auburn). Take care and keep posting. Watch out for these VOLS. They can be mean sometimes. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> No, to tell the truth, they really love their ball up here. Great fans and good people too, even Jackson County fans.
  6. Hey TIDEFAN, R U from Lauderdale County??? In particular, Rogersville??
  7. I bet you are a 17 year old punk kid midten, RIGHT? ha /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Hey Midten, pay your $12 and become a real coachter then come back and address me. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  8. She should do well at Ttech. They have liked her since she went to camps there years ago. I am just glad for her, and any other kid, who can use sports to pay for college. I fuss with some folks on here sometimes but it is all in jest on my part. I love the kids and wish all of them well, including Jackson County kids. Ha. I hope god blesses them all and keeps them safe. To answer another question: No, i have not seen a game all year. I have too much life happening to go right now. I hope to catch some Saturday games the next couple weeks. Glidden would have much much better numbers if she was not such a team player. She has always looked to pass first is the past. I would want to pull my hair out when I would see her pass up an open 3 point shot. That attitude should do her well in college as a point guard. Good luck to all. Take care Jimbo.
  9. Rachel Glidden of Richland would shutdown any of the 3. Already did shutdown one in a playday game last year. Yes, say I am wrong JC fans. Maybe we will get to find out. My money is on Rachel. Class A Ms. Basketball is A. Andrews from Collinwood.
  10. Of all the teams in 11a, I give Cornersville the best chance to knock off Richland. They have a crafty coach that knows Richland well. In a one and done tourney, they are always tough. I said I give them the best chance. Will it happen? NOPE!!!! Richland's biggest test we be to see if it can get past the first round of Region. All 4 D12 schools are well coached with great players. To make my point, the #1 AP team in Class A last year come tourney time was Richland (Gleason has just gotten beat.) Richland lost in the first round of region to Summertown, a team who had lost 2 major major starters (one quit and one hurt). This is your best chance this year Richland. If you do not get it done this year, it will probably be many years to come before you have the talent you have now. Get"ur Done!!!!!!!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  11. What are you saying Jimbo, that 7A is overated? HA HA HA. Great teams up there with great fans. Wish Richland had fans like you guys up there. Not that we do not have a few good fans, but not the number you guys have up there. That said, fans do not play the games. Players do and Richland has the players. All 'Boro team: Post: Duke Post: Horn Guard: Bell Guard: Glidden Guard: pick someone, maybe 2008 Ms. Basketball A. Andrews. 'Boro MVP Jasmine "The Diesel" Duke while averaging 20 points and 20 boards a game. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  12. Oliver Springs Vs. Collinwood in the finals of 1A. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" /> Jackson County looks like everyone's favorite but I do not think anyone would say that this team is better than the team 2 years ago. They lost in the finals to Chapel Hill. Plus, one thing for sure about picking games; If everyone picks one way, go the other way. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Good luck to all. Give thanks to Jesus for all things!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. Thanks Flash, now I will sleep tonight. Hey Flash, pay your $12 and join COACHT PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Thanks for the information. If there is a Richland high school student or college student at Martin Methodist in Pulaski that would like to be a plus member on CoachT and would like for me to sponsor you (pay your yearly fee) email me at jamie_roper@msn.com. The first one to do so will get sponsored. Take care.
  15. I do not know how the talk got started about non-paying members on coacht. Maybe something was said about the site not paying for itself because of increasing prices for server space and internet prices. I really have no clue. But I will say this. If the site is not pulling in enough membership dues and advertisements to pay for itself, then we need to do something about it cause it is the best sports information site for High School Sports in the the country. I would gladly double my yearly fees to $24. Would anyone else do the same???????? I have wondered for a couple years now how the price stayed at $12 a year. I always thought that that was too cheap. Yes, I understand that I may get thrown off the site at anytime, but it would still be worth the price. LOL LOL. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Just being able to get online and see scores from across the state is worth a ton. Plus getting to check out schedules, records, and not to mention the great Jackson County fans we all get to talk too. LOL. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Shoot, this site has more info than any newspaper and we buy a newspaper to just read the sport's section. Give me your thoughts. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  16. CoachT is the best bargain around, except maybe the post office where they will come to your house and pick up a letter and deliver it across the country for 41 cents. If the site is not making enough to at least break even, I would like to see coachT raise the price to $2 a month or $24 a year. It would still be a great bargain and fat folks like me can simply skip one soda a month to pay the extra dollar. I am starting a petition to double the price. Voice your comments. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Shoot, the scoreboard alone is worth $24 a year. Not to mention getting to talk with Jackson County fans such as ThedevelFan, Senator, and others. See New Thread.
  17. Great to hear. They will do nothing but get better. Keep working hard lady warriors. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  18. One thing I have noticed over the last 4 years is that Alabama Refs allow a player to hold and grab allot more than Tennessee refs. Lauderdale County came to Richland last year and several Rogersville friends of mine sat with me. As Richland dominated Lauderdale County, my friends stated that the outcome would be different when we came to Rogersville to play because their refs would not call the holding and pulling of jerseys. Just an observation, and before you jump on me, Lauderdale County fans, I had 4 kids that went there, 2 graduated from there, and 2 played basketbal there so I know what I am talking about. Also, this observation came from your people, not me. And I guarantee you would know the people if I wrote their names.
  19. Please tell me you are kidding about there only being 432 members!!!!!
  20. I agree, although he does threaten to throw me off about once a month. LOL
  21. WOW, Knocked out!!!!!!! I saw one of our guys (Lauderdale County Alabama then) get layed out in 2002 in the barn they play in at Summertown. They occasionally put barbed wire up on the walls and just go for in at ST. But dont say anything bad about their barn, they love it. Looks like most people think your girls are unbeatable. Hope the Richland Raiders get a chance to test that theory. Take care and happy new year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  22. All the old timers on CoachT should know the coach of Lexington (Alabama). Fred Shelton. He coached at Marshall County (TN) for 10 or 11 years in the 60s and early 70s. Won a state championship and over 90% of his games. I believe it was 6 on 6 (3 on each end) basketball then. He supported Lauderdale County BBall until getting the chance to coach at Lexington. His granddaughter plays at Lexington. I believe his daughter played at Alabama.
  23. Hey Dude80, I bet I know you if you keep up with LCHS Bball. Give me a hint????
  24. Yes, you are right about the Fayette County girl starting the fight on the court, but if I remember correctly, and I was there, Kiara grabbed her by the throat during the ruckus on the court. From what I saw, she did so in self defense. In the parking lot, I do not think anyone jumped anyone, although the Fayette folks tried. Kiara's family, along with many others, were there backing her up. And yes, LCHS was back the next year and Fayette was not invited back. I never meant to imply that Kiara was at fault, although I see from reading my post how it appears that way. I was wondering about LCHS being involved in any of the fights because I never really knew why Kiara got into it with the Fayette girls. We played AAU ball with her and her family several years and I have never seen her show bad sportmanship at all and her parents are great people. I will ask Kiara about that incident when I see her again. And then again, as bad as my memory is, maybe I dreamed it all. Glad to hear your take on the games. Post more often!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  25. I believe the Girls' attitudes on every team are a direct reflection upon the coach and his ability to motivate. This is why so many very talented teams never achieve greatness and why some teams seem to always be at the top. Look at Jackson County. Last year they probably had the youngest team of the final 16 teams in class A ball. They made it to the finals. They succeed beyond expectation just about all the time. That is a direct result of the coach. Why do you think some players want to transfer to play for these coaches. Look at other teams, loaded with talent, even talent to match Jackson County, but they can never seem to get to the next level of excellence. That is too directly reflective upon the coach. In the case of the lady warriors, they are not the most talented team this year. But they will achieve more than expected because of the attitude their coach has developed in them. GO WARRIORS!!!!!!!!!
