Jasmine Duke of Richland may be the overall best player in District 11. I have not seen her in a while and do not know how much she has developed over the summer and fall. She has the potential. Her family are great supporters of the Richland team. Her Mom, Aunt, and Grandmother our always yelling and cheering for everyone. Great fans.

Hey Jimbo, I looked for a thread and could not find one. Guess since we left Richland no one else can type. Ha Congrats to Rachel if it is true. Shows what hard work can get you. Nice to see that her talents are going to pay for her college.

Really? I have not heard. I have not been on in a few days. I know that they have been high on her at their individual camps and team camps for several years.

I agree. If she stays healthy, she will be a great find for MTSU. I have never seen MTSU play but I will travel there to see Ms. Andrews play. If Collinwood has the right chemistry and plays as a team, they will be my pick as State Champions. Their biggest problem will be their Region. With Summertown, Wayne County and Perry County is their district, and with Santa Fe and Richland, not to mention a team never to be overlooked, Moore County, in their region, it will be tough. Second place is their Region usually means a Sub-state game at Chapel Hill and Aunt Kim's Rockets. Another tough one. Good luck to all. The girl from OS is good, no doubt.

Great sense of humor. A friend from Alabama (lauderdale county high school) called me today and said that he had heard that rumor, so I simply got on here and asked the question. Apparently I upset one Richland mom who called and ensured me that this rumor is not true. Why it would have upset anyone, who knows? Being mentioned in the same breath as the lady vols shows great respect, especially if they did actually take a look at a particular player. I called my friend back after the mom called and he said that he had misunderstood. He stated that an individual from Richland had stated that he knew for a fact that Tennessee was going to offer scholoships to 2 tennessee high school seniors. Richland players were not mentioned. Sorry for the confusion. So now a new question, what 2 seniors? There are some good ones to choose from. I see that one of the best players in the state, Ms. Andrews from Collinwood, has already committed. Congrats to her. I think I remember one or two of the SEC schools being mentioned last year as possibly taking a look at her. She is great and will most likely be 1A Miss Basketball. Does anyone have a guess????? Who are the better seniors this year????

Hey Cat. Glad to hear from you. I thought, if the rumor was true, that maybe it was the result of the top 100 camp some of the Richland players went to. Do you know how any of them looked at that camp? I know that one got some attention at a summer camp a couple years ago while playing a pick up game with that college's players one night. She hit some major NBA 3 pointers and made some magic johnson type passes. How are your cats looking this year? Still got them big girls inside? I know you will be tough. Has anyone else heard this rumor????? It is an honor to even be mentioned by a team like the Lady Vols. I do not want to name the players in the rumor because I have not been able to verify if it is true.

An inexperienced bench will DOOM several teams in D11 this year. That is why you see the D12 schools going 10 and 12 deep. That creates experienced players.

Sounds like you know the family well. I will pray for the young lady and cheer for her when she returns. Those without sin cast the first stone!!! Oh, no stones???? Then let the girl, who obviously has allot of life issues to deal with, alone. If you are a Christian, pray for her quick return. Richland and its players and fans hope for a quick return. Win or lose, we want to compete against the best. Our friends at Santa Fe show great sportmanship and we will all be praying for Ms. White.

If Coach Thompson wants to block a user for violating rules, FINE! If Coach Thompson wants to remove posts that are inappropreiate, FINE! If Coach Thompson wants to block my posts cause I cant spell worth a dodul, FINE! But it is wrong to allow one individual to use a public message board to defend one individual and that individual's family!!!! What INDY says is probably true, the topic of RBS and transferring players has been run in the ground. But if one can comment then all should be able to also comment. That is what freedom of speech is all about and why this forum (CoachT.com) is so great. I believe blocking replies to the previously posted statement is an injustice to all. ALSO, did this player's family not hold what amounted to a news conference to annouce the move and the reasons why????? Do not put your dirty laundry out there and expect others not to commment. Yes, I agree. Jackson County and 7A are so strong and above everyone else that I heard that no one else will be invited to 'Boro. ClarkRange and JC will play will the winner playing the Lady Vols for the state title. All Praises to District 7A. Like every other year, 7A is the best. Let's see 2007 Gleason, 2006 Forrest, ect...... Although JC did get the beatdown in each of these years. HA HA HA ClarkRange is the class of 7A, no doubt. JC and RBS will fight for second. DO NOT underestimate RBS. One player does not a team make. PC should be 4th.

Thanks 4 the update. YES, since my wife has left the school i have not kept close tabs. Sorry to hear about Brewer. I think she could have helped the team. Darnell may have been a question mark too cause she has not played much. She had allot of potential that has been wasted. Pierce should be #5 in the starting lineup. Although she may decide to put all her efforts into softball. She is a good softball player. I think she would make a great point guard. It will be tough for Glidden to hold up to being point guard and high scorer. But if anyone can she can. The soccer player's decisions reflect on the coaching. I heard both assistants left, but i am not for sure. Hope he can pull it together. Without an experienced bench, it will be tough to get past region. I guess we will see how good Hall can coach. Great analysis, as usual. Santa Fe should finish 2nd and will play Richland within 10 points each game. Moore County will be third with the possibility of Huntland jumping Cornersville for 4th. The best chance for anyone in the district to beat Richland will be a "one and done" game such as in a tournament. Don't count Cornersville out of any "one and done" game. They have a crafty coach. I saw the small printed schedule today for Richland this year. I hope they have other games scheduled against tougher teams. They play Collinwood, and Dear Abby (ha ha), in February but no Wayne County or Summertown. What is up? There is allot of great players in the state but I do not think anyone has 5 as strong top to bottom as Richland. The bench will be the question mark. Will Glidden be able the withstand the beatings she seems to take each year? Will Duke reach her potential? Will all 5 starters stay on the team? Rumors fly weekly about players leaving. The most experienced bench players will be Brewer and Darnell. Neither played as much as they should have the last 2 years so that lack of experience could hurt. However, both have allot to offer. Little #10 had some great showings last year but is still very inexperienced. Scouting report. You know what to expect from Bell and Glidden; Double Double every night. Horn should be even better than last year and Pierce has unlimited potential. The key to how far this team goes will be Jasmine "The Diesel" Duke. Glidden and Bell will have 20 points a night. If Duke plays as well as I know she can, this team will be hard to stop. My advise to Richland: Do not worry about winning 30 games this year. Go 9 to 10 deep giving the starters some breathers and the bench some playing time. If not, they will be worn out come tourney time like they were last year. In conclusion: Glidden, Bell and Duke should all receive Ms. Basketball looks. Any one of these 3 could win it, although Ms. Andrews of Collinwood may be the front runner. The biggest problem Richland will face this year is playing in BY FAR the toughest Region in the state. It will be hard to get out of region again this year. Richland Rules.

This veteran team at Richland is ready to take on all comers. AP says Richland to be preseason #1 Class A team. My prediction for Richland is a 35 win season with a finals victory at 'boro against Forrest High School. RICHLAND RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always great to see a young lady be able to use her sport's skills to pay for college. Good luck young lady with UTC. The article lists her at 5'4". That is small for a major college PG but this young lady shows that someone's height does not show the size of their heart. And from what I hear, she has plenty of heart. She will be fun to watch in college.

Hey Moore County, Cornersville, and the rest of District 11A, step up to the plate!!!!!!!!!!! Someone please put Jackson County against Richland the first game. WE WANT SOME D7 BOOTY. This appears to be a whos who of girl's high school basketball. Should be some great basketball games. Class A is not as well represented as I would like. EVERYONE HAD BETTER START WORRYING NOW ABOUT DRAWING RICHLAND THE FIRST ROUND. All I can say is if you are skeered then stay home.
