Stacked? Well Swafford is fast but I'm not sure of many more to be saying stacked. As far as QB..I think thats up in the air. I know Scout played JV QB but I don't know if he is the one for varsity or there is another.

Coaching this year will be even more important than last year. One Senior lineman and only three returning starters on the line.

Central had/has no problems playing Polk. It was a close game last year and a nice place to play.

Who from Chatt would you want?

Proven?? He sure didn't prove anything with his short stint at Central. Nothing but emply promises. Gonna redo the locker room..gonna get playstations and x boxes...gonna get new uniforms...gonna gonna gonna. Nice fella but just no substance whatsoever. Now like Coach Allen or not..but the guy has delivered on his promises. New uniforms. Nice facilities. You name it. But Montgomery??!!

Has anyone heard anything about Allen being interested in leaving Central for Seq.?

Sam left Chatt Central on his own. He was not fired or shown the door. Super nice guy and actually hired a good staff of assisstants. Having said that..he was very unorganized and just didn't seem to have his ducks in a row to be the head coach. Not wantng to speak out of line but he had personal issues that he was going thru and that didn't help his situation much. Thus, he resigned.

Why in the world would he leave SP?

His brother was at Central til he went back to West TN. Maybe hes gonna go with him or try to get to Central.

The only Soph lineman to start is Metcalfe. None of the rest of em are even close. Maybe...just maybe one. But ti will work out I guess.

I dont why you think or who told you he did a great job at Central. He made all kinds of promises and kept none of em. Now I know he was going thru a lot at home..but he was the most unorganized coach I have ever seen. Absolutely terrible. Him and Allen are complete opposites.

Believe me...Yall don't want Sam Montgomery.

I had really forgot Cook came from Rhea. I would hate to lose him. Good guy with lots of enthusiasm.

Offensive line is awfully small and weak honestly. None of em could play varsity line. Just being honest. And only 2 maybe 3 with varsity speed. Funk for sure. 411..no I wasnt at 5 guys Friday.

I dont see much from the Sophomore class myself.

As far as that goes..why would Soddy hire him? There record is about the same as Central. Wanting to go somewhere and somebody wanting to hire you is 2 different things. Not saying he is or isnt a good coach but just looking at records.

Yep this is his 2nd year here at Central. He has said from the start he is staying here. We shall see I guess. Whether he leaves or not KIng and the administration and parents must stand up and make some noise for this program to get better and better. We had good enough athletes this year to do better than we did. The facilities are good and there is parental involvement.

I don't much speak of play calls either...but darn..maybe some things I just don't get. If it aint brokd don't fix it ya know. My kid worked his tail off and he sure was upset. Let me restate that...all the kids worked their tail off. We controlled the line most all night. Ran it real strong. Then in the 2nd half it seemed like we just quit running. And the play that got called back...boy. What an emotional night. Very anxious to see what next year brings. Coaching changes? Kids leaving? New kids ? Who knows.

What a hard fought game. We stick with the run and we win that one.

Say and think what you want fellas.. We could have gotten 7 wins bottom line. I know these kids well and their talents. Everybody has an opinion they are entitled to. The issue at hand is next year. Three linemen returning. One..maybe two...that can play the line next year. I guess Allen, Cook, Carter, and Lewis will still be there. Depth this year could have been handled lots better. Good luck to the guys tonight and we will see what next year brings.

Well if you are so knolwedgeable but not a parent you may be a coach. And...all the coaches said at the start they expected to go to the playoffs. We had Polk beat, we had Tyner beat, we had ER beat, we beat Brainerd, Soddy, had Howard beat..and yes Hixson is quite beatable. They are ok but very young. As far as all the teams and players you talked about that won so much in the city or at Harrison..that means jack crap. And really makes no sense. I am not slamming Allen or any of the other coaches or anyone for that matter. I'm just saying we have the talent for 7 wins.
