  1. If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a wonderful Christmas! I'm a "Greenback people" and you're post is screaming sore loser. I don't appreciate your insinuating post that GB could only win by cheating. Last night I saw a great game. A great atmosphere. Two great teams battling it out on the field. I'm sorry that many SP posters can't handle defeat with dignity, but instead choose to sling mud like a three year old that didn't win a coloring contest. The only thing that I heard last night that absolutely blew my mind was when the SP fans clapped and cheered when GB's #6 limped to the sidelines. Shame on you! The kids on both teams work so hard all year long! #6 is a great kid. He's been through so much adversity in his life and if your fans knew his story you would be so ashamed of yourself for cheering for him having an injury. Win with grace, lose with dignity.
  2. For the record, I thought the SP players left it all on the field. Great team, great attitudes, just a classy team. I was very embarrassed when our coaching staff was throwing the ball at the end of the game. I didnt mean anything negative about SP's #9, I just didn't think he was getting more than a few yards on most of his touches. GB's #6 runs up the middle, left, and right. A little more lateral movement. My hats off to both teams! Great game!
  3. We have a very balanced team. Period. You didn't see the best of #6. On to next week.
  4. Not from where I was sitting. And when he did it wasn't for more than a few yards. No doubt he was strong, but not near as impressive as GB's #6. I have no idea how many yards he had or how many carries. This game is in the rear view mirror! Can't wait until next week!
  5. Drumroll please....let the butt hurt comments begin. #9 had good size but he did not run all over us. He didn't have one break away run. SP has a good team, but throwing shade, complaining, and making excuses is just making it worse. We had a better QB, better receivers, better running backs, and better at special teams. And I honesty think GB's D is just as good as SP's. Talk about how classless we are, but that's pretty much like calling the kettle black. Congrats to SP on a great season! As for my Greenback Cherokees....we going back to the 'ship! Woohoo!
  6. Great job boys! You guys left in all on the field! Super proud of my Cherokee team tonight!
  7. 23 was on the field. He never left. I never heard anyone cheer for opponents when they have a hurt player. Not ever.
  8. You get that fumble for cheering when #6 went off the field hurt! Nice!
  9. Y'all want some cheese with that WHINE?? Sit back and watch a good football game...this ain't the Holiday Inn! We wish we had better facilities as well! But we're thankful for what we do have...PEACE
  10. Grace is a wonderfully coached team. Every single batter has the same correct mechanics. They seem very disciplined and had a hyped up dugout demeanor. I hope Greenback can get their kinks straightened out before this weekend. The talent is there. Should be a great and entertaining tourney!
  11. A sophomore started on the mound for GB last night. He shouldn't have but he did. GB usually pitches their aces Willis or Roberts when playing important district games. Coaches dropped the ball
  12. Well #1 we don't have a concession stand so be prepared. We sometimes have a guy with a food truck! And #2 we really don't have coaches...the players would be better off coaching themselves! And finally...we do have some wonderful fans..well for the most part. Safe travels!!
  13. I'd love to see Willis open it up and go down the field. I don't think we've even seen a glimpse of what he's capable of. Greenback by 3 TD's
  14. Would love to have a rematch with that freshman quarterback. I don't think I'm alone on this one! But anyway the future looks very bright for Greenback, considering the coaches put the kids where they should be!! Go Kees!
  15. Its just high school football. Less than 1% of all high school athletes actually go on to play that sport in college.
