Looking for good Girls tournaments in the Johnson City, Greenville, Cosby and (Knoxville) areas to watch the next couple weeks. I am looking for schedules and locations being played Thanks Santa Claus Merry Christmas

OS played well with a complete team effort.

She is doing great today just spoke to her dad this morning and he said she is doing really well and should be back in action this weekend or the first of next. Can't expand on the reason she was taken (not at Liberty) but she is fine and going to be back in a couple days.She is having a great Thanksgiving. Thank you for your concens and prayers.

Saw (Sale Creek) play OS and OS won fairly easy. OS had a larger lead than the score actually ended up being.OS played some younger kids and Sale Creek pressed them. But until then it was about 23 or something like that. They have one player #5 I think her mom is the coach is pretty good, other than that good size, not much speed, their guards struggled against OS.

He said last night on the radio he meant to get it so I guess he did. He stated he did it to fire his kids up they were in a tough situation at that time and he felt they needed that.

You know what is funny is how many people get on here with no dog in the fights but somehow have something to say. The refs were not great but Oneida only scoring 1 point in the last 10 minutes of the game might have had something to do with it. Why can't you give the OS girls some credit on the defensive end of the floor. All four of these teams are petty good and as someone mentioned above shake them up and anyone can win. But give the kids a little credit.

District 3 A GIRLS I am pretty sure this district decided to play at the higher seeds venues (I think they are calling it satilite)throughout the tournament. Could someone post the match ups, the dates they play and where.

District 4A GIRLS Wartburg has a bye does not play until Friday Oakdale vs Sunbright at Oakdale Oneida vs Coalfield at Oneida Oliver Springs vs Jellico at Oliver Springs All three games on Tuesday 2/14 have a 7:00 P.M. Start time. Those three winners advance to Semi-finals Friday 2/17 time TBD. If anyone knows times for Friday please add them.

Did some checking on the schedule for Grace and Greenback on Coacht, and it shows that Grace has not beaten OS they could later but not to date. Grace schedule Fri Dec.2 #23 Oliver Springs L 25-45 Tue Jan.24 #23 Oliver Springs L 37-46 Greenback schedule Thu Jan. 5 at Oakdale L 33-43 Sat Jan. 7 Wartburg W 49-44 Mon Dec. 19 Oakdale W 54-48 Tue Nov. 22 Wartburg L 47-52 This according to Coacht's schedule any how it has been known to be wrong from time to tiime and I maybe wrong, but that is what it says.

My post was talking about the point guard that went down (with an ankle) in that game, wasn't talking about the Jellico's team, coaches or players. They play hard and you never know they may supprise team in the tournament,this district is up for grabs and tomorrow nights game at Wartburg will go along way toward deciding it. Still way to many games left to make that call right now.

Any news on Phillips (Wartburg) and Thompson (Oakdale)? Heard last night there was a ton of swelling and very tendor, has either had there MRI and has either seen a doctor yet? I just want to say good luck to you both and I hope either of your knees is not as bad as some feared and you can return to action I was at the OS game and the place got silent. I agree the crowd at OS is sometimes roudy but in that situation it was not that way when she went down. I think everyone will agree OS is sometimes a tough place to play anyhow. Fans are so close to the action and very vocal which makes it loud and even tougher. Sit behind the teams and you can hear just as much crap as you probably do on the home side, matter of fact it is sometimes brutal over there as well with the vistors sections. OS is still young and has alot to learn still yet but if you watch them they play hard. It is not always pretty matter of fact sometimes it is hard to watch, but they are improving. Not to compare them (OS) to any college teams but they play hard and create problems for other teams like Kentucky Lady Wildcats ask the Lady Vols this morning. I am sure it sometimes looks brutal but it is just hard nosed aggressive basketball. Who wins the district someone asks; no one knows injuries and other factors come in to play and team 1---- still has a shot at D4A.

Just wondering who was taken out last night at the game in Loudon in a ambulance and is he Ok. Was it one of the coaches for boys or girls. My prayers are with him and his family. Can someone inform us. Hope he is OK.

It's sounds like what Bobby Dodd wanted; get rid of Peanut and most all others in AAU girls basketball. Make more money and forget about the girls.

This is coach Leffew and I am glad coach Christopher has spoken up on this subject I wanted to say somethings but I was not going to answer for her, But I can tell you for a fact that no one cares more for the girls at OS than she does. We love these kids and want way more for them than can anyone can imagine. Michelle Christopher is a great coach and does a fantastic job but more than that she is a great person. I support her and I believe in what she does as a person and a coach.
