Picking NCS 28 - TC 14 Predicting a close beginning to the game but by the 2nd quarter NCS will be in control.

I just got home and found out the CPA got dominated by Alcoa. How could that be? CPA is one of those private schools. Have all of you whiners run over to the 3A thread to complain that CPA bought their championship and the publics just can't match up?

Dont care what other teams have been reported doing. You called out NCS and this win. Also, you need to stay on top of current events.

If you know of something illegal that has been done by NCS and you are here at the game I'm sure there are plenty of TSSAA officials here to talk to. If you don't know of anything then you are just a whiner. And yes you whining does diminish the hard work and great season that the boys on the losing team had. So how was Greenback able to beat the mighty CA private team last week? Please give us more heresay to explain that.

As you see we run a lot of motion plays. So we do get bit after the play is called in, the QB called the play on the huddle. The team lines up and the player goes in motion. We don't always show a sense of urgency in each of these steps.

I think the drinks are spiked in the hospitality tent.

Mine is driving up from B'ham in the morning just for the game. He loves his school and this team and wouldn't miss being there for anything. Luckily he doesn't have Friday classes this semester. I know some of his greatest memories from high school were of his days on the field with his buddies and making that first run to the semis. He still works at the school in the summers and has spent many hours keeping the field looking good and getting the sidelines ready for the new bleachers. I am proud of the great group of kids that have come through this NCS program the past few years. They weren't always the greatest athletes but they helped set the standard for the work that was needed to match up against the best teams in the state.

Just an observation not related to the game. How does a school named Greenback not wear green unis? Most schools with a color in their name aren't creative enough to go against the grain and choose different colors for their school.

My gut prediction is: NCS 42 WC 14 Once the pads start popping I think NCS methodically takes control of the game. WC's second score will be late in the game.

Thanks for the correction Rainman. Don't want to short Coach Rice a full 0.5%. I'll stick with the consistent growth of Coach Brothers taking NCS to the playoffs every year since he has been there and getting them to the Semis the past three years (soon to be four). Rice has more years to draw from, including those years at Perry County, and a slightly better winning percentage but I wouldn't say you MOST definitely have a coaching advantage.

Sure. By my calculations Coach Rice has a won 60.6% of his games over his career. Coach Brothers has won 59.7% of his games over his career. So I guess you have us there. LOL!

What championship have the players on THIS WC team won?

I really think this is what will make the difference in the game Friday. I think #5 is going to feel consistent pressure that he hasn't felt in a long time. I'm sure he's smart and tough and won't rattle easily but If our D can get to him enough, and I have confidence that they will, then the turnover and field position advantage will go to NC. Of course we will have to be stingy against the run also. This defense likes to feast in the opponent's backfield so I am looking forward to seeing if they can have an impact on #5.

For the Wayne County fans, how many games this year has #5 been consistently pressured throughout? Serious question.
