I wouldn't consider it a rivalry yet, the game was never a game ....Heritage was outclassed and out manned at every position, and coaching, except for QB ......heritage didn't even have a first down in the first half , it seemed to me the devils could have beat them even worse if that would have been the agenda but it clearly was not. Got to compete before I would consider this a rivalry, but I am sure heritage fanatics will just deflect this defeat and claim their belief in their basketball team, which I believe will compete, but as I think we are all seeing when u move up a division the level of athletes at every position are bigger, faster, stronger and takes a little bit to become adjusted to that. So keep head up Patriots and keep improving and hopefully upset a couple teams and make the playoffs.

Taking greenbrier in this game just to stick to my pre season picks ....but I do agree with postman this is championship game number 1 for them .....Luck in scheduling this year in that the two toughest games are at the rock pile , but I think it's two losses in a row for Westy and finishin 3rd in the district ......but I wouldn't be surprised if Westmoreland won the game so I taking greenbrier 17 - 10

Sycamore White House Greenbrier

Too early to make my predictions, but I KNOW Cheatham is the class of this district. Heritage is returning those players and a few transfers, but let's be honest that sub state game heritage won last year, neither could beat greenbrier (which heritage lost to late in season) so I am unsure how they could be ranked above greenbrier with both returning best players.......Heritage as in football I believe will struggle some with moving up , but they also have players to be successful and will be dangerous come tournament time. Westmoreland one man show with White. White House is as always can lose or compete with anyone, has the players to compete but they are young will they play is still the question mark? Harpeth always fundamental and have 1 good player. Sycamore didn't graduate a player hearing lost one , but definitely think the coaching change could be good or bad. So if I had to just rank them kind of blindly except for the old 9aa teams would have to be my pre-practice rank as follows 1. Cheatham 2. Greenbrier 3.Sycamore 4.Harpeth 5. Heritage 6. White House 7. Westmoreland

What an anticipated game, but I am afraid that the anticipation will be ruined by a not so good football game. Heritage's biggest players play running back, but they didn't move the ball that great against a skinny Jo Byrns team. White House has the better lines both defense and offense. Unless heritage opens up the game and uses that cannon of an arm their QB does have this won't be much of a game after the first quarter. I predict WH 24. Heritage 0 ..... Heritage not only still looking for their first deistrict win, but their first win in their new division. They still have lots to prove that they belong, but I just don't believe this is the week. Good luck to both teams and I can't wait to watch the beginning of these two teams series with one another ...

I don't know about not losing another game , but having greenbrier and White House at the rock pile , I think ya'l could definitely win one of those games , but not both .....but that's why we play the game but definitely think WH greenbrier Westmoreland have separated themselves , with sycamore close 4th .....but some big games coming up very soon ....but only 2 left controlling their own destiny White House and Westmoreland ..... O ya and Harpeth but that won't be the case for long ....

Mr. Postman, You are right you are entitled to your opinion , but to have an opinion opposite of fact is completely confusing and foolish. Yes true duke settled by Quakers, but the actual Blue Devil mascot whether duke or anyone else comes from a French alpine fighting unit ( yes French actually had people who fought. Lol) who fought during WWI and after , and they wore blue capes and blue berets... So actually military and patriotic in nature than anti-religious.........hence Blue Devil Pride ..... Pride for ones country or in this case town and school ....... But on another note White House too good at home. Feels good to be back on here and reading and researching. I am pulling for the patriots tonight of course out of my true just White House bloodlines!! But I have to stick to my pre season district predictions and will take Westmoreland 24-10. I will admit the patriots have been scoring some points, but promise not as fast or athletic as what the eagles saw last week...but an opportunity for the patriots to show they belong in this new classification or if they are still just not ready (like most teams are when they move up unless it is because of the +20% rule) ....Because thus far this year I feel just by classification nothing else they have beat who they should have and competed against who they should have.....so good luck patriots will be following you on twitter since tonight is Homecoming .....

Very interesting vols...... Fair view and white house stalemated in the jamboree. Cheatham will continue to fall as Westmoreland, greenbrier, and heritage will climb....I don't know much about other side of region except fairview has a very good football team.

Great atmosphere last night, many fumbles and some big plays spoiled because of penalties....kudos to both teams and their performance still feel they are the best two teams in this district, but lots of football to be played....

Come on my friend Cleggy , no possible way that is going to happen, but if it does I will come back on here and praise you to no end!! Promise ... But I said in another thread about this district probably 2 weeks ago or so maybe 3-4 weeks , that this game would be , and I still feel is for the championship .....But WH impressed me last week , not much of a passing game , but I saw a little wildcat and such to generate maybe some surprise especially for a traditional power running package team. Wonder if 15 can pass better than real QB because I know he is a very good pitcher... Might be something I just hoping to see........ Anyways I think WH just too much at home , and I mean Portland didn't score on Westmoreland either so I am going with WH-24 Greenbrier-10 Also little side note about White House: please correct me if I am wrong, but this senior class , knowing not all of them still there and what not, but I am pretty sure when they were freshman they were absolutely slaughtering teams ...

True! Lol Heritage had a wonderful second half thought that scoring would happen whole game , Was at heritage game since I knew how the other game was going to turn out. Good Friday Night for all of White House! Also keep an eye out for Cheatham County as the season goes on ....

Greenbrier I feel will definitely move up , Cheatham has had coaching changes and a lot of nonsense still feel that is a wildcard team , and later in year might crush some others dreams ........Sycamore also a solid team might move up, I feel Westmoreland and White House switch places or move to around same number, but all and all some good games this year, and after seeing that fairview ranking I am liking my blue devils more and more

It's quiet because everyone , yes everyone from both sides now after Portland got beat last week 7-0 to..... Yes Westmoreland , prob because of a bad call or something idk.... Haha Anyways... Everyone already knows it was, is, and will be the devils picked....Because if (definitely not this year) Portland wins its always going to be an upset... So I taking the devils and what seems to be a good defense , and wins the game 17-0

Hard to tell have heard that CA can score some points, also saw that from patriots week 0 .. My bet is an exciting game , and IMO much more important for the patriots to win this game to try and prove that they are in fact ready for this step up to 2AA than to lose to a 1A familiar foe....makes me start to wonder a crazy question... Could heritage be wrapped up in being the loser of the highest scoring game of the week in ALL of Highschool two weeks in a row ?

Good call , if you meant the first quarter. Crazy game of turnovers, Heritage did come out and put it on E. Hickman in the beginning, just as game went on E. Hickman was too much, but an exciting high scoring game none the less

Way to early I think to truly know or decide , but I will chhose a few that I think will be in the hunt to play in the glass house in 2014 Austin east Fulton Howard Upperman CPA East Lit South side Covington /liberty So many good teams in Memphis, but I feel south side and Howard , and even though with losses whether losing players or not when defending two time champs your a lock until proven you do not belong so those are my early picks

Since u brought up combined it is crazy to think that the schools could have been together and be playing in 5a or 6a ,could they compete, I think so , this year it almost seems what is one of the strengths for one team it is the weakness for the other..

Haven't been to any 7 on 7 s but I did watch the jamboree ....I agree those shoes are hard to fill, but short school history and with growth all of those records in danger and different divisions. The patriots have moved up and on. So going with my good pal Cleggy the 2013th edition of the patriots do have some special athletes, and have big play ability, very intriguing to see their transition up with comp pretty much every single week now. Looking forward to this new district as a whole honestly. Enjoy Friday nights and Saturday mornings.
