I am not sure if those transfers are guaranteed and AA is a much different beast then A. And not so fast about looking at overall records part of it is who you play against. Heritage's toughest opponent in state of tennessee you could argue was greenbrier. Just look at the strength of Schedules and the other teams are in 2AA which lets just be real is a much more competitive and tougher league as a whole. White House = 47 Harpeth = 7 Sycamore = 11 Greenbrier = 70 Cheatham County = 74 Westmoreland = 104 Heritage = 101 in A. And if those transfers don't come (and the name is Kram) feel you would know that if he was for sure transfering to heritage.... you are only returning three players and one true post player or scorer. It was pretty apparent this year in that "dismal" district that Sizemore couldn't do much and didn't do much So to think that he is going to be able to dominate just because he has on a patriot uniform is a silly way of thinking. Not saying that heritage can't compete, but to think that they are favorites when those transfers haven't even came yet, and thats only 5 players?? is a little farfetched, but we will all find out soon enough, and I personally can't wait to see what happens !!

Not as much scoring as I thought but had the Margin correct As a whole pretty good game, but neither team seemed to be able to score consistently. The third quarter is where heritage lost the game in my opinion. As far as the game being different with cunningham, ya maybe, but probably not. Still wondering why heritage got literally maybe 2 touches in the paint when their senior center went 20 and 12 in the previous game against a much larger opponent. Heritage had its much bigger size advantage handling the ball at the top and in the high post for most of the game instead of establishing the ball in the paint like they should have and could have dominated richland down there. Not taking anything away from richland they played hard and won the game. Yes heritage might be solid next year.......for A, but lets be realistic and real PLEASE they hadn't played much competition this year. And the district they are going to next year IMO is much tougher than who they played this year. Not to mention the region change is 100%% tougher in grand scheme of basketball, I mean IMO and being honest I feel Greenbrier would have beat either one of those teams last night and they went out first round of district tournament to a ready for the season to be over WH team. So in perspective unless heritage gets some magical players or more transfers...going to be a very , very long year next year in the games that matter for the heritage patriots.

This is an intriguing game. You have Richland who has been good all year and been ranked all year, but since they have gotten into tournament play have been playing buzzer beater and win by a point basketball. Then you have heritage who has been a team all year with no single player averaging double digits on the year in scoring, having a transfer go off and winning them a game against a stingy eagleville with 19 off the bench. Then a senior post player losing his counterpart and putting up 20 and 12 in the regional championship game. I guess the question is which Richland team is going to show up, and is heritage going to have another individual step up and rise to the occasion and lead heritage to victory again for the 3rd game in a row. The game should be packed tonight, and richland hasn't played an away game in a while so that could be a factor as well. I haven't seen Richland, but when I watch heritage, Yes they have good size (especially with a healthy cunningham) a good highschool point guard, and a couple guys who can hit the three, but they just do not pass the eye test for me. They just do not have the ability I feel to come back in a game, which hasn't been tested it seems in this post season with their great 1st quarter and first half , but weaker 2nd halves. Their strength of schedule has always been a concern for me it ranks 101 out of 117 schools. So literally had the easiest route to this point. But that is why we play the games Just don't know which team is going to run out of magic first: Richlands close post season games, or Heritage having career performances out of different individual players in different games. Definately Pulling for the Patriots in this game and hope they win and get their first birth to the State Tournament. But as far as my prediciton of the game: Richland 50 White House 42

Forrest, Community, and Eagleville are all common opponents

I can eat my own words that is fine. I am extremely happy for the patriots and the way they stepped up with the injury to Cunningham. Big win for the Heritage patriots!! They went inside and Evan Allison responded greatly with prob the best game of his career. Other senior guards iced the game with making free throws at the end of the game. And The PG controlled and managed the game and made the correct pass to the correct player when needed. Great team win for the patriots!!! Got to give myself some credit on this game though since the final was 54-52 Mt. Pleasant victory. Hope Heritage does pull the top bleachers out and have the crowd they deserve Monday night, with this towns first chance to be back to the state tournament since the 06'-07 White House High School Team. And for the first time ever in heritage history and the 3rd time ever in the City of White House History!!! Hoping the Patriots win and get the respect they deserve. I definately feel the richland team is the best team the Patriots have seen all year atleast by way of strength vs. success ratings. Not ready to make my prediction yet, but my heart is telling me patriots, but my brain is telling me Richland. So good luck to both and looking forward to a great turn out and great game !!

I have already made my prediction of the community heritage game, which after hearing that the cunningham kid is out for the game. Community 52 Heritage 44. As far as on the other side I think it will be another close game like all their other games. I think Mt. Pleasant going to get some sweet revenge for their loss in the district Championship in a 52-50 win over Richland. So substate matchups predictions: Heritage at Mt. Pleasant Richland at Community

Good game last night between eagleville and WHH. With the cunningham kid going down the first half and Sizemore having the third quarter he did is the reason the patriots won the game. Not saying if cunningham doesn't get hurt heritage still doesn't win the game, but sizemore doesn't get the minutes or the takeover that was shown. Eagleville was a short scrappy team, but lets just be honest no post players no size no nothing honestly. The patriots controlled the whole game until they started playing not to lose and thats when eagleville made their run. I am also not to say that the charge call at the end of the game could have been just as easy an and 1 and game tied at 63. Heritage guards off the bench continued to turn the ball over and make bad decisions. Without sizemore taking over the 3rd heritage could have lost a game IMO they had no business even having a chance to lose with their size compared to eagleville........... I was mistaken on my pick of MTCS over community without seeing the teams play. Community I feel was the best team in the gym last night. They have the size to give heritage trouble especially if the cunningham kid cannot come back and play. Happy for heritage on their historical win. Congrats. But my prediction of the Championship game with no cunningham is a hard fought tough half grind game that Community will end up winning 52-44.

Woah now cleggy lets not get out of hand. yes the patriots have nice size. But they are not always under the basket where they belong. They up top setting screens and handling the ball way to much. yes the pg is a pretty decent player. But he has to handle the ball the whole game. When he was injured or in foul trouble heritage is not close to the team that they start. Not saying that their starting 5 can't match-up with anyone. But to make it to the state tournament you have to have a team!! and their first region game a couple starters particularly the 2 and 3 man disappeared as the game went on. And lets just be real honest Heritage bench is non-existent and guard subs do nothing but not execute and turn the ball over. Not saying heritage can't start and match up with most or anyone, but to think they are a state tournament LOCK is very foolish. Considering the 2 teams this region will see in substate have been ranked in the top 5 for pretty much all year in A. The lack of back up pg who can handle pressure and control team and no bench will be their demise. But I still do believe they will be in the region championship game and play tough. But to truly deep down think and beleive after what I saw that they are a state tournament team would be foolish. Also to think they could even compete night in and night out in AAA is also a foolish statement.

4 for 4 Was at heritage Forrest game ... Truly a tale of two halves .... Game was tied at 38 with a few to go............. Heritage executed first half Forrest couldn't score to get in their pressure ..... Second half was exact opposite .... Still believe in my original picks .... Looking forward to the semis Still wondering why Petrone didn't call time out in third quarter with his team only scoring 2 points and still no timeout when their 20 point lead was being literally "thrown away" in the 4th

My predictions Middle Tn over Mcewen Community over Nashville Christian Heritage vs. Forrest (A toss up game IMO , but truly feel the winner will be in the region championship) Eagleville over Jo Byrns Middle Tennessee over Community Heritage/Forrest over Eagleville Middle Tennessee over Heritage/Forrest Neither make it to the state tournament.

Thats the problem right there. These coaches don't beleive it, parents and fans don't believe it, therefore the players don't believe it. they just hear o well you can play hard make sure you play hard to show up and give your best .. thats BULL I watched an 06-07 White House team with what i would consider one true talented athlete (who is at the NFL combine right now). Go all the way to the state tournament and get beat at the buzzer in a game they should have won in the quarterfinals. So this o we can just play hard and see what happens attitude that has been shown at these rural schools from fans,administration, and coaching IMO is absolutely ridiculous and pitiful. Quit whining and BECOME better players and you will start winning. It always has been and always will be a classic match-up the more athleticially gifted, vs. the high basketball IQ and fundamental teams. Problem is the latter is trying to play to much like the former these days !! Yes I do realize that 06 07 team didn't have to go through the same region as these teams do now before that music starts being played...

Regular season means nothing in basketball Bigstick. Greenbrier beat white house twice during regular season now they are playing baseball while white house still playing basketball. You lost the game that mattered and thats all that Matters. And now it is going to cost you a chance to win a region game because chances of you beating East Lit = 1%.

Heritage the only class out of 10a and they aren't very good. Such a shame that Forrest slipped up in consolation game where Heritage has to play them. Yes nashville chirstian beat heritage twice when it didn't matter. But they lost to a dismal white house team by 30 so i have felt them to be weak and terrible all year in grand scheme of who can play and who can't... And lets just get real Jo Byrns legit?????? come on now we are talking about Jo byrns here. Even though they might win because they playing the weakest opponent that made it from 9A tournament. That home court always helps.

Heritage needs to tread water carefully against a solid forrest team. They have some good wins on the year including beating richland in a christmas tournament. And given heritage's past performances in the region tournaments they need to play "well" to win. I think their second round game is the easier of the two to continue the dreams of making it to the state tournament.....My prediction in the region championship though is Middle TN Christian vs. The winner of the Heritage/Forrest Game...... But can never count out that home court advantage for eagleville. IT DOES MATTER !!!

2 big wins last night for the district 9AA against some 9AAA teams. I rescend my comments about mcpherson he went off last night for Macon against Station Camp. And a big win for the Blue Devils played like a team and beat the pantehrs who were coming off of a huge win !!!... Maybe some excitement brewing for this district tournament.... any upsets or going exactly how the seeds are???

Okay I think it is time for me to just come with some truth again. I am sure Christian Lynn will win the MVP award because he is the leading scorer for the best team in the district. I have seen all the teams play as far as most valuable player to me is #24 Trevor Randolph for Goodpasture. Leads the cougars in rebounding by an average of 4 a game. Averages 2 blocks a game, and is actually shooting a better percentage from 3 than lynn. I feel without his presence downlow and just the way he plays the game Lynn is not the player that everyone talks him up to be. Yes lynn is a good scorer but I feel his teammate is not getting enough love beacause he is the most contributing , complete player I have seen in the district this year.

Not comparing white house to WHH just stating the truth on who I think GB can beat and who they can't. ....No hate just truth.....Think that was seen again last night with WHH losing to Arron Academy.... And I know each game is its own entity, and all about matchups, but heritage has lost to Nashville Christian twice now and White House (who we all know is down very much this year, no size, bad attitudes, all THINK they can shoot beat Nashville Christian quite handily so not real sure why two 9AA wins is or would be impressive unless you beat Goodpasture... lol And how ANY 10A win would be impressive in the grand scheme of teams in Middle Tennessee....Once again not taking shots or jabbing just speaking the truth really....

Goob i think yal will have a chance to beat heritage....Yes they have a good record, but lets just be honest they havent played much competition their district could be the worst in the state considering that 2 of their losses were to district leader nashville christian.. Who white house beat by nearly 30 in PJPII christmas tournament this year.... so don't get too discouraged from your GB utopia

Hopefuly CPA or volleyball doesn't steal him like all your other best players over the past few years. If greenbrier still had them different tunes would have been sung last year and this year IMO

I think it helps when the same coaches "literally" coach from I know for sure atleast 7th graders all the way up to the high school. Some schools might frown on this , but I think Macon middle school is not affiliated with TSSAA so noone says anything, But having same coaches in the ear for 6 years instead of 4 is a huge advantage IMO.

Does anyone else feel though that this district is literally playing only for the district , can any of these teams compete with any of the top 4 from District 10AA??
