  1. Thanks for the info. I assume the Hicks girl is still playing. The lady rebels had a fine team last year and should be a solid contender this year as well. I do agree that Westview will be tough along with Covington.
  2. Redbird fan, if you don't mind saying what guards have left the team and are no longer playing for the lady rebels. If you can't reply I understand. I knew the Wright girl graduated.
  3. No problem. Like I said earlier I will be elsewhere tomorrow night watching Grandson in playoffs. Nothing like watching your grandchildren play after having the luxury of also watching your son play. As mentioned son was 3 time all stater. However, I do have 2 more younger grandsons coming up that will be outstanding players and will be hornets someday more than likely Will be a while though. They do attend Medina. So if I am still alive i guess I will be a SGC fan some day. In the meantime I still might attend a Bulldog game every now and then as the playoffs progress. Don't think grandson tomorrow night will have much chance to advance. Sorry did not say that.
  4. By the way the only things I said above was I have never seen SGC play and i do have years of enjoying high school football in West Tennessee. Some other poster said the other quotes. Check your post.
  5. Born and raised in Madison County.. Have years of watching West Tenn Football. Had son that was all state player. Live in Milan and have over 20 years. Have seen many Milan games, but to date have not attended a SGC game. Just observing what happened this year and what will more than likely come down the road due to the growth of the Medina area and the loss of the Milan player base. I just dont see the enrollment at Milan going up. More than likely down. Look at Humboldt and use your brain. They were a much larger school at one time. My point was just the hatred the Milan posters have for the school to the south that did beat them this year. Like Rodney King said, "Why can't everyone just get along". lol,
  6. I enjoy seeing my point being made. keep living in the past. Like I said TRY and have show some class.
  7. Never have seen SGC play. Sorry to burst your bubble. Have set and watched many games at Johnny Hale, however. Like I said earlier presently not a fan of either. Just feel SGC should get some accolades for what they did the last 2 years. Still think the future looks better down the road for them than it does for Milan. Believe what you want. I certainly dont care. My life doesnt revolve around anyone's football team. At the present I have a grandson that plays for a team not in Gibson Co. My friday nights are for his support presently. So, me a Medina fan, don't think so.
  8. Actually my zip code is 38358 if you know where that is located. Just stating some facts.
  9. Why not play them as non region games. I would love to see USJ back in Div I. Playing A sports and 2A football.
  10. I am not a follower of either team, however I do have years of involvment with high school football in this area. I would like to say that both teams have had sucessfull years. Considering SGC has only had 2 years of varsity football I feel this entire area should be praising their accomplishments, not criticizing them, i.e. weak schedule, got lucky against Milan, crushed last year in playoffs, will be crushed this year per dawg 44. You get my drift. Whatever happens later in the season one thing can be looked at and cannot be ignored. Over the next few years SGC will grow and continue to attract top notch families. Families such as what is at USJ and other private schools. Families with the resources to fund and develop top notch facilities which will in turn promote top notch football programs. No longer will a good young football player at Medina go play at Milan instead of Gibson Co. He will now play at SGC, thus causing Milan to continue to lose their player base. Milan people cant deny that alot of their players over the years have come from the Medina and Atwood areas. Milan will one day have some years where their player base will run thin. Thus resulting in teams not as competitive as in the past. Then someone named Hornet 44 instead of dawg44 will be on here or some other forum running down Milan and praising SGC. In other words I see the shoe being on the other foot in the near future. Milan is not a growing town, Medina and the South Gibson area is a growing area. All this trash talking by these Milan people better be enjoyed because in the near future it could easily be as the old saying goes, payback is heck. Look at Humboldt once mighty program unbeatable, endless supply of athletes. I feel Milan is in store for the same thing. The economy, the Madison Co school system will dictate this change. My point here is that the Milan people, mainly dawg44, should be proud of SGC and what they have accomplished instead of running them down and talking your smack. Have some class.
