I know there players have displayed poor sportsmanship and poor attitudes in years past. If this is true it sounds like the same this year. I heard it was all coming from the coaches. Players attitude will reflect the coaches attitude 99% of the time. Either way this looks to be an entertaining game. May the best team win and this be an injury free game.

Dosent get worse than the playoff loss... I love my Hornets no matter what but if im being completely honest, SGC got out manned in this one. Westview was too big, too strong. They did what ever they wanted. Our guys couldnt really help it. With that said, were a pretty young team and with any young team there is inconsistency. They weren't executing tonight but I feel like there was a lot of good things to learn from in this one. Our schedule doesnt get any easier from here so gonna have to bare down, get better, and come to play next week! #HornetNation

I think 42-21 is a pretty fair prediction with TCA pulling away late.

TCA has a heck of a team. The problem with westview was that we got physically dominated by a bigger stronger team. Theres no other way to put it. SGC is thin and quick on defense so i think itll be a pretty good match up. My prediction is that TCA wins it, but I think SGC puts up a fight. The Hornets have depth in the secondary so I look for them to sub often and try to keep fresh legs on the field. We may see lots of young guys come in and try to keep some of our play makers fresh for offence. Gonna be a good one.

Crockett is outstanding. D-burg, Sgc, Westview are somewhere in the middle Milan and obion are at the bottom for now. sgc westview will be decided here in a couple days. After this week I think well have a pretty good EARLY picture as to where eeveryones at.

While yes, I think CC will win this game, im not so sure i would just up and count milan out. This Milan team has just lost the first 2 games. Im pretty sure theyre hungry for a win. And when you combine that hunger with a winning program and winning coaches, you cant count them out. If CC comes in and thinks its gonna be an easy win, i foresee an upset. Like BIGPURPLEMACHINE said, if milan looses this game its gonna be very tough for them to make the playoffs and those kids in purple know that. I still think crockett will win this one but if milan pulls out a win, i wont be shocked. That said, I dont like milan. Im an SGC alum, follower, and supporter.

I agree. Huge game for both teams. SGC's defensive interior is thinner than in years past which could be a problem against a strong team coming out in a power I. Should be a fun one to watch.

Glad to have company!! last year i was the only hornet fan on here till Noah came on toward the end of the year! at least now ill have some back up on milan week. lol

As for the Westview game, I have to thing we're favored but im with you in thinking that itll end up close. I still have to think our guys will pull it out though. Im gonna say 27-20 sgc

I think the coaches have done a great job yet again. What we have is a team full of solid players who are team focused. There is no superstar who gets the ball on every play, theres 4-5 guys that will carry the ball. Elder, Lashlee, Calderon, Reed, Jordan cobb, Hayden, ect. all are solid players that can hurt you and because there are so many of them, opposing teams will be facing fresh legs every snap. And from the look of the sophomores the other night, i think we can expect to see the same thing for years to come. However, when we hit the toughest part of our schedule, I look for Arain Reed to step up as a star on offense. Coach hasent had to show his hand yet this year but when we face the tougher teams that will change. The defense has has been amazing so far. holding a very good camden team to only 20 and only 3 against a great offense in Chester co. (the touchdown came against the jv defense at the very end.) Im excited about this team and theyre only gonna get better.

Now we just gotta beat teams were favored against (*cough* East Hickman*cough*) id really like to see them get back to the playoffsand hopefully surprise some ppl there. I know im late on this but obion has hired Kevin Gultra as there new head coach. From what ive read both on here and on other sites, id say he sounds like a pretty good hire.
