These seniors at Grundy beat sequatchie when they were in middle school by 20 points it just goes to show what lack of coaching can do even when the talents there.

He was trying to find excuses to cover up that he Is not a coach and he got out coached! How long is it gonna take to get a change? Or Better yet for people to open there eyes and realize it!

Well goes to show you last week at Grace they don't have anything. This is really disappointing as a Grundy fan. We will be lucky to get 5 wins. This is truly humiliating. Well we have hope tomorrow anyway. GO VOLS!!

20 to 7 seq. It looks like our defense has showed up again. The thorns are sharper than ever. If you turn the ball over and cant stop anyone what do you expect. Also offense is struggling too.. Looks like its gonna be a long night here folks.

Well Sequatchie hasn't been tested this year so we really aren't sure what they are capable of yet. I am really looking for this one to be close. I'm hoping it doesn't come down to the 4th quarter in a close game because we all know who has more experience from a coaching stand point. Lets hope Grundy does take the Indians to the wood shed!! I want a repeat from last weekend a GRUNDY AND A VOLS WIN!!!

I think it will be a close game. Sequatchie will not lay down. Both teams will be there ready to battle. Grundy needs to keep building its momentum. I'm curious to see our defense this week also. Keep stepping up!! Grundy by 10.

It was very impressive! But let us not forget that we played Grace too. But we will take it. Let's hope they keep lighting a fire if that's what it takes! Look out Indians your next!!

I don't consider telling the truth bad mouthing these coaches. It's not a question of character here either. That has nothing to do with it. However winning football games does. If its the head coach fix it, offensive coordinator fix it, defensive coordinator fix it. Who ever it is an it's the weakest link in order to keep my job as head coach is to change it. Is that not right? Tell me if I'm wrong. Is that not the way it's suppose to go? This has consistently been a thorn for us and there hasn't been a change. That's all I'm saying. I'm sorry I just don't consider that bad mouthing. Lets go take care of Grace Baptist tonight. GO GRUNDY! GO VOLS!

. I'm wondering if you are a coach or family member. You keep defending them about our defense. These guys have coached here multiple years and the whole time we have NEVER had a defense. That's a FACT!! Now sooner or later there have been juniors and seniors in those positions and it hasn't helped either. So that tells me it's coaching. Let us look at our big orange and Derek Dooley. He had an offense and could score the points but couldn't never stop nobody. Look where he is as a coach now, unemployed! I'm thinking its time for change just like on ole rocky top!! GO BIG GRUNDY!! Yes I agree Grundy has a lot of potential. Grace lost to Chattanooga Christian last week by 7. If you remember last year at Grace they had only won 1 game till the jackets rolled in. Grace has confidence they can win against Grundy now. I recall we couldn't stop them last year and for the win to happen our defense has to show up. We can't keep matching TD for TD all year like we had to at the MC game. Lets go Jackets turn it around!

I have a feeling our offense can play with anyone. But when you have a defense like ours that can't stop anyone we play any mistakes we make offensively will get us beat. When you put up 30 points a game in high school football you should win ball games. But we have been getting excuse after excuse on our defense every year. It's getting old you know? When is enough, enough?

Lets hope so doc. But honestly I can't put to much faith in this coaching staff. Hope that they can make a believer out of me.

Surely you didn't expect anything different? 55 points what about our defense? It's been a thorn in our side ever since this staff has been here. Same old stuff year after year. Is that surprising? We might not even get to 5-5.

Grundy has only beaten Marion 2 times since 2001. I promise you this those warriors will be ready to play the jackets, They always have been. Hope those jackets get fired up and take care if business.

Well it sounds like we are gonna have another repeat or worse than the last 2 years. Maybe if it goes south we can get some new blood at the helm and hardwood too for that matter. Coffee county has one of the worse teams since the 2007 season going 2-8 and 3-8 for the last 6 seasons. If we can't compete with that then we can't compete anywhere or against anyone that's a playoff contention team. We better wake up, up on the hill!!!

Does anyone have any information on any other teams in our district they would like to air out.

That's what we HAVE been hearing for the last couple of years is our defense is young. At some point in time you have to quit using that excuse, it's getting old year after year. Especially just to save jobs for family members. With our talent, men its time to put up or shut up! I just hope were in game shape and nothing like last year at Marion when in the 2nd half our boys was sucking wind and Marion's wasn't. We want a season that our boys are capable of. That our whole county can be proud of for a change. Lets go Grundy!!

Not mentioning any names, I just hope we keep our players in line and out of trouble. Seems like we are having trouble with some discipline issues.

We will see! I'm sorry to say this but I can't put a lot of faith in our defensive staff. I just hope it's not a replay of years past but everything's shaping up that way after hearing about whitwell?? I do believe in the boys and there talent. But they can only do what there told. I hear we lost one of the top receivers in the state. But we have to move on. Go big Grundy!!

Grundy should be a team to reckon with this season. But like I have always said with our GREAT COACHES its going to be the same 5-5 just like always. This group of seniors and sophomore QB along with other jr receivers could be exciting to watch to bad we play 4 quarters. I believe we could play a half with any team. I hope Grundy beats Marion but it will probably be a repeat of last year. GO JACKETS!!!

Nite train you have totally missed interpreted what was being said. It's NOT about a parent upset because his son is not playing!! It's about wanting your child to play for a team that has as much talent that is here now that's been here in years or ever and just seeing it go down the toilet because we don't have the coaching!!! You must definately not be from Grundy that's for sure. We lose to a Marion team cause we weren't in shape and got out coached and play a half with power house teams and get out coached in the 2nd half and lose to a Grace Baptist team which in all honesty shouldn't have even been on the field with us. Sounds to me like people need to understand sports and the game and just not assume someone is belly aching because that is definitely not whats going on in Grundy County!!look at the past years they have been coaching in football and basketball it speaks for itself. Not only that but they have no discipline over things either. But I think it's time for change?? I also think I don't stand alone when I make this comment....

I totally agree with this. There is a lot of talent but its been wasted now for 2 years! I wished some board member would make a motion for us to get someone. It gets embarrassing game after game and its not the boys fault. But in my opinion its the same in football. We are never going to have anything in our programs till we step up to the plate and take a stand and push to get us some coaches with a proven track record and not use the buddy system! I hope everyone is ready for another repeat year in football. If we are lucky we will be 5 and 5. With Colquitt in Dunlap now we will lose that game again by getting out coached! But things have been this way for a few years and I guess people are content with it. It's just not the Bryants it's the whole staff!! This has nothing to do with personal issues so lets dont even try and turn it there. It's more about a parent wanting more for his son, and a county wanting more from there sports programs. Do we want more for our children and this county or are we gonna sit back in the same ole rut we have been in for years? Because face it Grundy County it's never gonna change unless we cause it to change. I just hope now since our baseball program and softball programs have a fresh start that things will change there. So what about it Grundy County......You decide??

I agree doc why should we be looking for a Cumberland County or any other powder puffs? Why not play good teams that will make you better. The old SVC was great, there's plenty of quality schools local instead of traveling all over the state.
