In the past 6 seasons here in GRUNDY we haven't won a game against a team with a winning record! With the TSSAA playoff system in place in my opinion is a joke! No team going 4-6 an has not got a quality win shouldn't even be considered for playoff contention. The first round of the playoffs is all about putting money in the TSSAA organization. All first round games are blowouts anyway. So when you try to give credit to a coach for that it is way over rated. I find it humorous that someone not from GRUNDY acts like they know more about our situation than the people from here. With that being said the beav is done with this situation. It's time to focus on the future and hope for brighter days ahead! Everyone have a Merry Christmas!

He resigned. Character was not the issue here. People here that has preaching this a couple years back is shocking me by the comments that's being made! Not sure why the change of heart all of a sudden. But never the less I'm glad to hear of it. No football players has signed a scholarship to move on, and his record speaks for itself.

Well there has been some things that's been needing to happen that FINALLY took place!! Some long overdue changes, glad to hear of it and looking forward to a fresh new beginning. Let's just do our homework and make a good decision.

Well just getting in a little while ago. But were there any GRUNDY faithful that honestly thought this game would be any different? If you take away Grace Baptist and Cumberland County we haven't won but 3 games in quite a few years. But there's a few faithful that sing the praises of making the playoffs, just to play a 1 or 2 seed and get sent back home with our tails tucked. It's sad that with this being how it ended again there will probably not be a long over due change in good ole GRUNDY! So all you GRUNDY fans and board members can keep singing the praises of our wonderful staff and keep expecting the same results!! Because it's never gonna change unless there is a house cleaning, period!!

Well this Is simply a wasted trip for GRUNDY! If we have no quality wins how can a team like this even make the playoffs in my opinion. TSSAA needs to fix this!

It's a toss up in my opinion. We always have to remember this too. It's deer season now so everything in GRUNDY boy sports shuts down. Also talk is down up here because we know that nothing is ever gonna change and we have about threw our hands up. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone truly cares about our athletes up here and there well being not only while there in high school but about getting them to the next level. We hear of change but apparently it's all rumors and everyone is scared to pull the trigger to make the changes. So this ship is continuing to sink and will as long as nothing's done. I haven't posted or even been here in awhile but thought I would share my thoughts and put this out there.

See that's where we differ up in GRUNDY. This is the best talent we have seen up here in years, the past 2 or 3 seasons. I used to try and say the same things you are ambassador but after all these years and with nothing any better. This is as far and best as GRUNDY football will ever be with the Bryant's here.

Well my opinion is this, South Pitt gets the win here with or without our QB. It takes a team effort for any win!! I agree with what Opie says, we haven't had a defense in years and we will never be better than mediocre as long as this staff is here. Ambassador you are wrong also, if GRUNDY was to pull out this win there's no reason he should keep his job. A win over a down south Pitt team shouldn't matter. He hasn't proven himself, period! It sounds like your feeling a little disappointed also in your coaching staff? My opinion is this, others might not agree but with this jr. Jacket team probably gonna stay undefeated with this coach, why not give him a chance with the players that's winning for him now? Is he our answer? Who knows friends, but let's give him a shot he's getting the job done now. Because when they come up under this Bryant regime its gonna be no different than the past 6 years we have had with him being head coach.

Opie, here at GRUNDY things are never gonna change with this coaching staff in place! That sir is a factual statement! GRUNDY I don't believe will ever see 5-5 this season. The Bryant's have never followed up an emotional win with a loss.

Signal will win by 40+ in this contest. It's gonna be BAD!!

Well last nights game didn't surprise me at all. I figured it was gonna go that way. Now this upcoming week will be an onslaught for GRUNDY because Signal Mtn. comes to Coalmont. Yes Indian, comparing scores is a tough way to predict games by all means.

We had 2 young gentlemen in my opinion on the team last year that could be doing that. One of them didn't get to play last year and the other could have been if pushed in the right direction. But you just keep thinking that about our athletes here. No not everyone could play sec ball but I think some could. Do u think our boys couldn't? I guess you think we have sec caliber coaching here at GRUNDY. huh?

Yea you have to have the grades but here again if I am a coach and I have a kid with the talent as a freshman I'm going to push him to be the best he can be in the classroom as well as on the field. To me if I were a coach I would expect that out of all my players and nothing less. Like I said I haven't had time to really think it through.

There was a statement you made Tallahassee about me not answering your question and being a coward? Are you serious? Lol. Seems like others have more since than some people. Not sure if this was the question but were you referring to "how many athletes at GRUNDY could be playing in the SEC in the last 4 years?" First off no one said about playing in the SEC, it was just about playing at the next level. To answer your question I would thank probably at least 5 off the top of my head and there is one playing or was playing not sure if he still is down at the university of the south. But I have just found your question and tried to answer without putting much thought into it? How many do you think sir?

Guys you got to remember this we beat a grace baptist team that's not a lot and we beat a mediocre Sequatchie team. Now all of a sudden everybody starts picking GRUNDY to win every game we play?? You have to remember this. The point blank reason GRUNDY beat sequatchie was the boys dug down deep and played with heart especially late in this game. The Bryant's by all means are not Hero's here. That was a great win for us and our coaches but remember REALITY FOLKS! I'm not going with my heart here though but I say silverdale by 12 in this one.

Your pretty good cool fan. Sounds like you have a head on your shoulders. Unlike some in here. This coaching staff as far as I can remember had never been in the paper with any of there players signing a letter to play at any college. Now as far as kids going on to college, there have been a few of them but a to my recollection it's not to play football or any other sport! They are going for there academics. Your absolutely correct about a TRUE ATHLETE NOT WANTING TO LOSE!! IT IS A MENTALITY AND NOTHING ELSE IS ACCEPTABLE FOR THEM!! I also agree with your comment about good coaches will pursue scholarships for there players. Great post Coolfan.

GRUNDY is coming in on a very emotional game and are very high right now. We hope it continues but sometimes those games can also be an appetite for a let down the next week. With that being said I'm gonna wait till I give my prediction for now.

If you have winning programs an your community backs you like GRUNDY fans did Friday night those kids walking the halls that are straddling the fence will come out and play. Everyone follows teams that win and wants to be a part of it. Yes you have those kids that love it also. They will be there no matter what. I have been talking about the other athletes if the wins and support are there they would be also!! That's a fact!

Oh Dixieboy you don't even have a clue. Lol. Like I said earlier you must not know anything about high school athletics, especially here in GRUNDY. Especially your cake boy comment! Lol. These mamas boys with mental weaknesses took care of business! When we got whipped at sequatchie last year we did no such thing as whining about referees beating us, from a fan perspective! Our coach on the other Hand showed himself a little in the 2nd half, but hey we got beat and out coached. Last night on the other hand the same thing happened only the roll was reversed and all I have seen is a lot of whining an complaining about refs and poor sportsmanship on social media sights. It really doesn't represent you or your community well that you have been talking about in your great town of Dunlap! Did the better team win? Who knows? If they played again would we have the same outcome? Who knows? But for now this is how it is.

Dixieboy you must live in a perfect county where there's no problems and everybody loves everybody. Where I come from it's not like that. Apparently you haven't been around sports or athletes very much or here again where you come from you have perfect coaches that everyone loves, and loves there county and school and community.........WAKE UP!!! Here in GRUNDY it happens and if you don't think it does your not familiar with the kids and know anything about athletics in this county! You would actually be surprised at the athletes in GRUNDY hallways! Here's just one example just look at athletes that play baseball that doesn't play football? This goes for both our basketball programs also! WINNING IS THE JOB DESCRIPTION!!
