Do you know if they are doing any fundraisers to help raise money for the rings? This team has gave us all they had for 4 years and I would like to do something to help them and sure alot of other people would too.

yes Dooley is open and in my opinion Tennessee is still open. We hired this guy yesterday that most hasn't even heard of. We will be going through this mess again in couple years. Maybe Vic should go try his luck up at University of Tennessee. He got to be better than this Butch Jones guy!!!!!!!!!!!!

you know what Termite your right. I apologize for the comment. I started this and now ending it. We are from the same county and should cheer for each other. You guys come up last Friday to support us and we thank you for that. I'm sure if you guys would have been playing we would have brought alot up to support you guys. Good luck to the 2013 owls. The tssaa has it set up just right for this county. With 1A and 3A being on same day back to back, can you imagine the crowd that would be there if we both made it to championship game? We would set some kind of record I'm sure.

And the statement about no one from "across the river" saying anything huh? All I have heard is people saying ya'll may be state champs but we are county champs. REALLY? I MEAN REALLY? There is an equal comparison there huh? I will take 30 more years of losing to yall "across the river" to experience what we experienced last Friday!!!!! Tell you what, lets take a trip to each school's trophy case and compare. We will go see yalls 13 county champs trophies and you can come see our 2 gold balls and 1 silver!!!!

13 and 1 huh? Yeah you should be very proud that you beat a 1A school by one point the past 2 years and with one being in double overtime. THATS REALLY SOMETHING TO BRAG ABOUT!!! You are a freaking 3A school. You are suppose to beat a 1A school. Honestly, we should be the one bragging for only losing to a 3A school by one point. Not a 3A school bragging bout beating a 1A. But wait, maybe you do have something to brag about because we aren't just any 1A football team are we? We are the best 1A football team in the state!!!

Very good point. Haven't thought bout that. The whole team needs to be present for sure cause if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be having the unveiling.

about the unveiling of the sign i think they should do that at first home game next year. Us gville fans know who that will be against. Make alot of people across the river mad but who gives a #*@&! Let them win a championship and then they can do whatever they want.

I know people are trying to come up with different ways to raise money for our boy's championship rings but why don't they have a huge pep rally at the football field like on a Friday night and replay the championship game? They could have concessions open, have stand selling championship shirts and hats, and charge 5 bucks admission with all money going towards the team's rings. I would definitely pay that to get in and sure there are a ton more that also would too.

I agree this was one of the best games of the weekend but you must not have watched Maryville Whitehaven game.

Coen was rolled up on from behind. He was bent back and sprained his MCL. He is going to be fine. I went to the school when the team got back and he was limping some but not as bad as during the game.

Watched Hurd last night for the first time. WOW! THAT KID IS UNBELIEVABLE. Just wondered if he had committed anywhere yet? Also, congrats to Beech on their championship.

To the South Pitt faithful: Just wanted to thank you guys for pulling for us this year in cookeville. I know we are the biggest of rivals but we both have huge respect for each other and that's how it should be. That's high school football!!!!

Since FC is moving to Division 2 next year does anyone know if Gville and FC will continue to play during the regular season? This has become a good rivial game the past several years and just wondered if it would continue.

I want to start out by saying congrats Adamsville on a great season. You have nothing to hang your heads about. Congrats FC on your second straight state championship. It was a clean sweep for Region 4 this year! Don't think anyone can argue where the best football is played in 1A!! GREAT JOB GVILLE AND FC!!!! 1A and 2A state champions Did I mention both are from region 4

Good luck to the pirates in 2013. Sorry we in Gville aren't gonna be as good next year so we could have an encore of the instant classic we had 3 weeks ago. I believe South Pitt, Greenback, and Coalfield are gonna be the 3 top teams out of the east next year. I really don't like Greenback, I believe Coalfield is still a year away, so that only leaves the ole faithful of South Pitt. Good luck next year (except when you guys play Gville of course) and I thinks it's yalls to lose next year.

Thanks. From the posters from huntingdon, we will need it but I would say the same to them too! Lol. That's just true fans loving their team and high school football. So can't fault them for that. I'm not real sure where your from or if you have a team playing this weekend but if so I wish you guys luck! Go Big Blue!!!!!!!

lol no fear of that happening. I am very proud of my team and I will be on here after game win or lose saying how proud I am of our team and congratulating the other team if they are victorious. I'm not a sore loser or one to make excuses.

we will see come Saturday night when 2 gold balls are setting in Gville and Lebanon.
