The only one who is to blame is the TSSAA. This is an unfair advantage that the privates have and GCA is one of the best at recruiting that there is. Until the TSSAA forces privates to play In the private division then publics will always be fighting an uphill battle.

Talked to a coach yesterday. All the players are back. Every starters will participate except for maybe a banged up one or two. Should be exciting to see how we measure up against a decent team.

I hope they stay excited, but in all reality it's not going to happen. They have no idea what they are in store for when pads come on. I have seen coach Colquitt coaching style up close. Only kids that will be dressed out on Fridays will be those that absolutely eat and breathe football or whose parents make them play. Right now Ken seems all lovey dovey. Come spring, the kids will learn names and cuss words they did not know existed. Ken will win, but it won't be with 80 plus players.

I actually agree with you somewhat. There are programs that don't have superior athletes that are consistently winners and top 10 teams. But that takes implementing a complete program in all age groups. Once this is established, you can be good for years without "athletes"

Creasy would be crazy to leave Trousdale.

Tim Moore applied at Sequatchie too but according to their administration he is not qualified to teach.
