Who are the Indians scrimmaging In the spring?

1990 Marion vs Sequatchie. Both teams were ranked in top 5 in the state. Must have been 5-6 thousand at game. Sequatchie intercepted pass in end zone in last few seconds and won 7-6. Marion went on to win thier first state championship.

With that said,my Indians should be in good hands the next few yearx

Howard is more athletic than most teams they play. If it were a race Maryville might be in trouble. Winning high school football games is a lot more about coaching than having the most athletic team.

Yes we will be improved. Hopefully playoffs. IMO Marion will be best team in the Valley. They played a very fast Trousdale team last year in playoffs, which I watched, and dominated them. Who did you see them scrimmage?

Not sure who you saw Marion scrimmage but if you think they are going to be a win then you better get better glasses. They were pretty good last year and will be very good this year. I agree with Ambassador, I expect them to contend for title this year. Not looking forward to my Indians trip down there.

They were pretty good as eighth graders. Some will probably not play in high school. Has the potential to be as good as some of the classes from the 1990's.

The good ones from that staff are either gone or have no intention of coaching with him. The ones I have spoken with are just not interested.

I appreciate what you did for the program and wish you the best, but I disagree on one thing. Mr. Layne has made several bad hires. I fear he does not have Sequatchie sports best interests in mind. I really hope this hire is not left totally up to him. Good luck in your future endeavors Warrior. I am confident you will be successful.
