  1. Just wondering what happened tonite?
  2. Grace has the potential to play very well or very badly. It all depends on which Grace team shows up. They definitely can beat Temple, who is the hands down best team in the state, and lost by 3 to Pickett Co. If Davis and JP are hitting, they could be a big sleeper come region and sub-state. Remember, they know what it takes to get the Boro and play for it all and that can only help.
  3. I was at the game and first I should say that both teams played their hearts out and deserved to win. Grace led most of the game due to some great shooting and they played their tempo for 3 qtrs. Kyle Groothuis is a good player but cannot shoot beyond 3 feet from the basket. Parshall did not score in the 2nd half. Eldridge did a pretty good job. He averages 19.7 a game and he had 16. He was 7-14 from the field. How again did Long shut him down? Grace was up by about 8-12 pts. most of the game. You cannot say CCS played badly, just like you can't say Grace blew the game with the turnover at the end leading to the lay-up. Both teams are a mismatch for each other. CCS inside vs. Grace outside. Should be an interesting rematch in Regions.
  4. Are you serious? Temple couldn't even hold Eldridge to 12 in the second game and Eldridge did not attempt a field goal in the 3rd qtr. Long is a good defender but don't think for a second that he can stop Eldridge. Parshall has been on as of late and having McMasters will keep the Groothuis boys honest inside. CCS may win but it won't be because they've stopped Eldridge and Parshall
  5. South Pitt. lost to 21st Century last night. There is no way they are coming out with the likes of Temple, CCS, Grace, LV, and Boyd. Robinson is a quality player and they aren't bad but they won't even sniff sub-state.
  6. McMasters wil definitely help Grace match up with CCS and the brothers Groothuis but it will be the perimeter game that wins it for Grace. Long is a good defender and while Sikes from CPA and Skogen from Temple may be better all around, you won't find a better shooting duo in Chattanooga than Parshall and Eldridge. If they are on, it is over, if not, CCS wins. It is a big IF but I like Grace's chances, especially the way Eldridge and Parshall have shown up in big games as of late. Grace - 68 CCS- 62
  7. Waters is only a soph and she isn't as good as Walker from Grace but perhaps in a couple of years. Waters had double the games last year and Walker had almost as many strikeouts. I'd love to see Walker on a big-time program as opposed to Grace's.
  8. I don't have to; Temple will do the explaining for me, hehe
  9. Bo Seal from Grace Academy in Chattanooga. He will win Class A state championship, you can bet on it.
  10. Of course it is, Grace is the best Class A team in Chattanooga and should beat CCs and CSAS this season quite handily. Grace has most everyone back and they are hungry. They should make a run to state
  11. This won't even be close. LV is steadily getting worse while Temple is improving daily. I don't really see an upset happening unless Temple relaxes b/c of their win vs. Ooltewah and looks past LV to District. Temple by at least 15.
  12. I was at the game and Johnny P is a class act. He told me afterwards that his inspiration is his study hall teacher. Congrats again, Mismatch!
  13. Who cares? McCallie does their thing and Grace does theirs. I think both student/fan sections are great for the schools and their respective teams and other school's fans should take note.
  14. Congrats Johnny, took you a million shots to get there tonight though, haha!
  15. No one is going to beat Temple, nuff said
  16. Bo Seal from Grace Academy in Chattanooga will win state and he is an 8th grader. He truly is a phenom
  17. The facts? Did you forget about the fact named Caleb Skogen? He is the best player in class A and no one from CPA can handle him. Sikes is good but Temple will win with their Team D. The only advantage CPA has is that this is at home but Temple hasn't really had trouble on the road this season. Temple wins this one by double figures.
  18. This is absolutely absurd. Don't let you personal feelings get in the way of basketball knowledge. Eldridge basically has to be a ballhog for Grace to win; who else is gonna score on a consistent basis? He is a tough kid who wants to win and you don't know anything about him or his dad. His dad is great for the game and knows the game as well as anyone. True, I am biased towards Davis, but I am also biased towards intelligent posts, something you don't seem to have a handle on.
  19. Of course Eldridge is a leader and of course he has to shoot the ball. Who else is gonna take the shot and give Grace at least a chance to win. Your go-to-guy has to be selfish and your role players have to accept their roles. Who would you have take most of the shots for Grace?
  20. I agree with Stay, one thing I can't stand about certain fans is the fact that they are so idealistic and tend to believe that just because they like a particular team, that team is the best. Temple and Ooltewah will be close but people forget that Temple plays class A on a regular basis, Ooltewah AAA. The level of competition may be the difference in this one. I personally think other than Caleb Skogen, Ooltewah has the three most talented players in White, Porter, and Brown but Temple's team game and D will pull this one out in a good one. Temple by 2
  21. Mouw will not be able to handle Porter unless he has helpside to get his back
  22. CPA is good but they are not as good as Temple. I have seen both teams play and Sykes is pretty much all CPA has. You could make that argument for Temple and Caleb Skogen but Temple is a much better team at almost every position, even w/o him. Temple will win by double figures.
  23. I would have to agree, he definitely keeps the games interesting. He has to be the best in Chattanooga.
