I got to see the Blackman / Maryville game last year. Maryville made big plays at critical times. If they would have played 10 times I would have bet on a 5-5 split. How does Blackman's team compare to last years? I know the QB is back, but how about those 2 linebackers. They were great last year.

Maryville wanting to move up is coach speak. Those coaches are tickled to death to be in 5a. It's about trophies not competition. IMO

That is awesome news about the two middle schools combining! This will help field a more competitive team and let these boys get to know each other before getting to high school. My boys played for Rick and Randy and they are excellent coaches. Great job by whoever got this done!! Great step for WB football IMO.

Aaron Tippin would be proud of you Govman. "You got to stand for something" right? That's a trait that is hard to come by in your area of dwelling.

BackinTn your never going to get any where with your argument. All your going to get is smart butt answers like creb (traitor) and others who enjoy all this stuff. Maryville plays by the rules as they are. They are winning and that is the biggest recruiting tool they have. Kids that could start at other schools are willing to sit and wait their turn. The only easy way to stop ooz is to make it to where an oozer can't play sports at that school. Then you force the parents to move if it's that important to them. Good luck.

91 we will just have to disagree on the talent thing. You have passion, but IMO your post are doing nothing to help WB. You ripping a first year coach and staff is not the solution.

91 I have some really good friends( traitors) over at Maryville. Their coaching is second to none no doubt. But you and alot of people fail to understand how much above average talent they have at every position. They got guys playing only one side of the ball that could just as easily start on the other side of the ball. How many games did Otis leave the game at some point with cramps or just being beat to death? It is a huge advantage keeping players fresh. Maryville has jv and freshmen that would start for most other teams in the district. Ridge is a smart guy and will improve with experience. He is far out manned with assistant coaches. Maryville I believe has two other guys on the staff that were head coaches. IMO it is not fair to compare WB to Maryville. Maryville is at a different level with players and coaching experience.

You may be right but I don't see it. Greenback lost 3 games this year they should have won with those Ridge assistants. Ridge will be fine if people will give him a little time. IMO

The first 3 names that popped into my head when you say twirling: Jennifer Julie and Heather. Man they had great form. What's the word on the rb situation? Are we going to play Myric at qb and let him hand it off to Daniels at rb? Hope Otis can go, would be a toss up without him IMO.
