I watched Monday and the offensive team part Tuesday. Seems like a good week of practice. It doesn't seem like the players are taking Halls lightly. The Coaches are pushing them to correct mistakes. I think we're going to put up a lot of points. The fast clock will be running.

I think the line will show some improvement after last week. Not sure there will be drastic improvements in that regard, but enough to put a few offensive points on the board. I think our defense will keep the scoring low enough for the offense to win this one.

I've said all along that we would be 8-2 or 7-3 when other folks thought we'd be lucky to win 5 games. Was disappointed with our lack of offensive production, and wish we has gotten farther in he playoffs. All in all though, it's been a good year considering the youth of his team. Eight weeks until winter workouts start:)

IF Jalen is hot. If he's not, he can't hit a bull in the #### with a bass fiddle. They can't stick with the pass if Jalen isn't on, or the receivers drop balls. Personally, I'd like to see a few passes to the TE, but I'm a bit biased in that regard.

Our defense is good, but I would feel better if we didn't have a habit of playing two or three really good downs and then giving up a big play. Our safeties and corners need to bring their A game. We can't go giving up 92 yard runs anymore.

Really? I mean Maryville is great. Fulton is great. They are not great. They may be good, but I'm not buying great. They have been beat twice by good teams. They can be beat. We will see tonight. Suppose to have the best secondary we've faced. If we run the ball off tackle and mix in the play action pass we can beat them. We can't stick to the same old spread and throw it all night and hope to win.

Agree on the play calling at times. They should know more than I do, but not sure what the thinking was on occasion.

I think the defense played well enough to win. Can't ask for much more than to have held AC's offense to 19 pts. Dissapointed in the lack of offensive production, that killed us. We need to improve on offense if we are going to make it very far in the playoffs.

I'm with Bounder. Not a fan of the white jerseys and gray pants. The cardinal pants look much better. I think Gaddis doesn't like them because they don't have the stripes. I'm SS though. They can wear pink as long as they keep winning.

He was nervous earlier this week about 11's size and speed. Proud of him even if he got that holding penalty late in the game. Thanks!

Powell fans were chanting Campbell County to our players before the game. Guess we showed them they are no Campbell County.

. Actually. We won the game in sprite of our first half play calling. If we had our tight end formation in earlier, the first half might have been different.

The freshman teams played, JV didn't have a game. Sorry.

15-8. Apparently CC scored in the last minute, to go up 8-7, and OR ran the KO back to win.

Rowe said he will be back for the Powell game, Isiah Jones is apparently suspended. Don't know when he'll be back.

I can't believe Bladerunner hasn't gotten back on here and weighed in.

It will be interesting to see how this young team responds to the loss. I usually go to practice on Mondays and go down where I can hear the coach talk to the linemen during individuals. The coach does a good job of going over things that I noticed needed work. I have no doubt they will correct technique and execution things. How will we respond mentally, that's the question.

They called it an "equipment penalty". Never seen it either that I can remember. Didn't they throw the flag right before the snap on the next play? Maybe if it's not corrected before the next play its a penalty.

So, my son and I were talking about the game this morning. After talking about it for a few minutes, I laugh, put my hand on his shoulder, and say "look at it this way, you did something I never did". He's like "what, lose to Campbell County". I'm like "yeah". That was the end of our discussing the game. How big a jerk am ?

He said it again last night to the team. He said, and I am paraphrasing, that he is always shocked to lose a game because he always expects to win. I think he's just trying to develop the mindset that we should always expect to win. Now he just needs to develop the mindset that we actually have to play to win.

I watched "film" last night from three of CC's games. I was worried before, but I feel a lot better now. I watched Halls, Clinton, and Central. Clinton and Central were able to move the ball well against them. Halls was too at times, they just couldn't score. They throw ALOT of screens.....that is basicly their running game. They do have receivers that can get open, and their QB is accurate. Still, my gut says we are a better team than Central and much better than Clinton. I am thinking 35-21 OR.

JV game with a few freshmen included will play at 6:00. Gibbs only has 15 freshmen, so no strictly freshmen game.

I believe Colquitt is the freshman coach and Sprat is the JV coach.

Thanks. They don't throw to the TE much, so it was good to see him come up with it.
