Mocs just hates Baylor. Look through his past posts and the hatred is or jealousy is clear. How is Baylor headed down the wrong path? I know several of these kids and their parents and they are top notch. The ones I know I would put up against anyone in the classroom, practice room or as citizens. I haven't heard one bad thing about any of their kids unlike the horror stories you hear about some of the things you hear from other programs. I don't know the exact rules but I don't think its possible for an opposing coach to have the ref overturn a call. I certainly haven't heard of anyone doing it. Like someone said earlier, did Mccallie offer to overturn the underhanded headgear toss of Holloway in the dual meet? Did McCallie offer to award some of the stalling points that weren't called at the duals or any of the other bad calls? In fact I've heard from the parents I know that there isn't as much emphasis put on winning as there is schoolwork, citizenship and sportsmanship.

I brought this up with my red legged buddies. Their reply was "Why would he run?" Because he had one bad day with a pretty severe injury? They stated he hadnt even been practicing the last couple of weeks. They also pointed out the fact that Brunner and Connell have been in the same tournaments and Connell has failed to make it to the finals to wrestle him? I think at the prep slam Brunner won if Im not mistaken. If Im not mistaken he beat the kid pretty handily that beat Connell. Also, why would he move up to 138? Also 138 is a much deeper weight class. I would think his challenge match for 138 would be harder than beating Connell. Didnt Connell get beat by Akers who Brunner has owned his entire career also? The kid had one bad day, I would bet the house on him at the state. He won a pretty close on last year vs McCallie on a defensive pin only to come back at the state and dominate his McCallie oponent.

Yeah d1 is so tough they just beat the #2 by 74 pts. lol Heck Cleveland is so good they should wretle in the d2 state just to get a little competetion.

As far as swinging the match and a great turnaround I think Baylor wrestled three jv kids in this match this time. Its wasnt the same line up as the week before. Kind of like Wilson central beating Soddy, I guess you think that would have happened as well if Soddy had all their kids. lol

I was saying if that officiating wasnt so bad the entire match that Maybe baylor might have given them the victory. I only saw three of the matches in this dual but everyone I saw it seemed the Baylor kids were getting ripped off. If the officiating hadnt been so poor then the match wouldnt have been that close is my point.

The region alignments left some of the best teams in the state at home. The tournament would have been much better if Chattanooga was allowed to bring more teams.

I dont think the number of teams you wrestle has anything to do with the difficulty or legitimencey of your championship. Baylor hjad a bye but are you saying their championship wouldnt have been much more difficult than Clevelands path with three total dominations? I think beating Cbhs and Father Ryan would have been harder than blanking Cordova and Wilson central and forfeiting a bunch of matches against Heritage because it was already wrapped up. I agree the tournament needs to be promoted and made much more exciting but its hard to do in that arena and with the lack of fan support Nashville brings. Go watch another states tournament and see how they do it. Heck go watch a Bradley County or Cleveland home dual meet. Spot lights, music ect.. Its an event that excites everyone.

Is Cleveland not considered part of the Chattanooga wrestling community? So you dont include Wilson Central or any of the Murfreesboro teams in with the Nashville wrestling community either?

I was suprised he wasn't called for unsportsman like conduct at the beginning of the match for taunting his opponent.

I'm not sure they beat a red hot Cleveland team right now. I would pay double to see that match.

Maybe they would have if it hadn't been for the horrible officiating. From the matches I saw Baylor shouldn't have been in that situation. The final match was a bad call but so was the pin call. He dove and slapped the mat without even looking because he knew the time was running out. Also I witnessed a mccallie wrestler curl up and lay there the entire match and the idiot refs called the top man for stalling even though he attempted cradles, Turks, tilts, bar arms, Turkey bars all in one period. I didn't see many matches in this dual but the ones I did the officiating was horrible!!! Embarrassing Tenn

You all brought it on yourself by crowing about how good you are. You just beat a Soddy team that kicked off three wrestlers and two of them were among their best. Not only that but they lost another stud starter a couple of weeks ago. This match would have been a 25 point victory. That being said you have came a long way and your kids should be proud. You haven't wrestled cbhs, father Ryan, Baylor, Cleveland or a full strength Soddy team so no, you still haven't wrestled the best but you are about to. Cleveland,please don't call the dogs off! Wilson Central, follow my old football coaches advice and try to act like you have won before even if you haven't. Maybe now that you have arrived you can schedule some of these teams. Remember while you are happy soddys kids are hurting due to no fault of their own so show a little class.
