We we always at the mercy of UTC basketball scheduling. If it was possible to have a double elimination tournament at UTC TSSAA should have done that years ago. I like the environment at UTC also. But in the end, it’s about the wrestlers and their ability to have the Double elimination tournament! Now you have all the girls teams added to the mix of D1 and D2. I still think with the central location in Tennessee we are in the best place. It’s our job to support the wrestlers!

Bottom line it’s for the young men and women who love wrestling! They don’t complain! They just want to wrestle!! Something that none of y’all have mention. IT’S A TRUE DOUBLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT! None of that carry crap like in Chattanooga because they didn’t have enough time in the gym because of basketball. The wrestlers progression is square on his shoulders verses waiting to see if they were gonna get “carried “. I will take the “ cow palace” every time for this double elimination tournament!

Congrats to Cleveland for winning the state duals!?you are a very talented team and I hope y'all continue to do well. And congrats to WC , who for only the second time in school history competed in the state duals and secured the second spot in the state! Thanks Cleveland for helping make WC 's program better! What WC has heard all year is" they have not wrestled anybody all year' is why this thread was even started. They deserve time in the spot light. That's all and guess what,everybody knows who Wilson central is now!!!

I'm not trashing any program I just want the hard working kids at central to get a little respect. Soddy and Cleveland have awesome programs. I have never trashed any program because I know what it takes just to be on the mat.
