  1. Not really because most of Rockwood's JV was Sophmores as I was told. And the Brazillian kid played good. I was told the Rockwood was Sophmore dominated so I really didn't pay any attention. I'm sure there are some good ones but I don't know there names and I don't remember any #'s.
  2. His name is Shane Kries. He is just a sophmore. He will be a really good one, next year.
  3. Carter-OS Bunch- Wartburg Langley- Wartburg Jeffers- Oneida Foster-Oakdale Grooms-cosby These are some that are contributing now a little, besides bunch he steps up when needed, but in the future could be some really good players. Yes, I know that it is all based in the same region but this is the only teams I've watched or heard. These would be 6 good ones. I'd pick them in a pick up game.
  4. Sounded like a great game. When will West be back?? I know the kid is an athlete. As for Carter, He is a great player, but I think his lil brother might even be better than him someday. OS is extremely talented and Can't wait for next time.
  5. I'm glad to see that Harvo and coaching made up. Thanks for the complament, or however you spell it,. Coaching will you be attending Wartburg's game at OS tommorrow night? Should be a good one. Two really talented teams going head to head. If not I'll try to keep my story as truthful as possible. BTW The person who mentioned baseball, We start about 1 week from now. Just thought I'd throw that in there
  6. Carter and Melton are both good players. Should be a good one. I'm interested to see how both squads act straight outta the gate. Will be a great one to watch im sure.
  7. I see their Record is not very good but I'm sitting here watching them on TV and they don't look bad. #42 Buckner looks to be a pretty good shooter. Can someone who follows them tell me anything?
  8. It's good to hear Brandon Davis is ok. After he fell last night we all prayed that nothing bad was wrong.
  9. That makes no sense. The horn in the middle of the game was way before the 4th quarter during a Wartburg fastbreak, and the time that was run off the clock helped rockwood because they were able to run anywhere from 3-6 seconds off the clock during a time out. The clock troubles helped Rockwood if anything, but I guess looking back it wouldn't have made a lot of a difference.
  10. Oh coaching after reading your post I saw you were beeing Sarcastic. HaHa, that was the best joke you have made on here yet. But, Petros has good ball players. Coalfield's state championship baseball team had quite a few of Petros kids on there. So, Coalfield is helped out just a lil by petros.
  11. Since when did Middle Schools start having Christmas Tourneys? Petros hasn't had one since I've been alive, At least not a High School Christmas one. As for the bats and balls, I never put mine up. I don't even play basketball, but I'm going to cheer for my team. Yes, a loss does matter but Coaches can't stress that loss for long. No coach wants his team thinking about a loss in a big game. To some players that might get their blood flowing, but to some it brings back memories that can slow them down. Coach Layne is a great coach. Anyone who says otherwise is crazy. How many times did you see Michael Jordan sit on the bench because he took too many shots? Not many. Coach Layne has faith in Jeremy because Jeremy is the team leader, rather anyone wants to admit or not. DJ helps in a lot of ways. Both are good players, but to say the team would be better without them would probably not be true. Yea as a fan there are times I think why you shot that, but there are others when I'm thinking how he made that. Wartburg has lost 3 games, One to Rockwood who we will get to play again, and Pickett who I'm sure everyone wants to play again. BBall man was right OS and Wartburg is the biggest game Wartburg will play until the tourneys. And I'm sure Rockwood out all the teams to play wouldn't want to play Wartburg. And As for the "Little Phillip" I find that funny that is the first time I've been called little since the 2nd grade. Yes, I've bought into This "Dream", but a fan that pulls for the same team, not just the ones that are winning all the time, always is. Wartburg is injured not dead. Until they are dead I'm going to keep saying Wartburg is the best team around. Coaching please edit my post I'm starting to learn a thing or 2.
  12. HaHa that could be debatable. Gotta Love Mr. Foster though. At least he don't hit the wrong buttons. Just outta curiousity, Rockwood fans how do you respond to the clock? Did you think it was right, wrong, or didn't really play much of a part? Now that I'm over my Frustration, the horn in the middle of the game didn't matter much at all. It just gave some player a lil rest. Now the mess up at the end, that upset me not like Wartburg coulda done alot in 3-6 seconds, but it woulda made the game much better because Wartburg kept fighting. just a lil curious from a Tiger Fan stand point.
  13. Can't forget Shiverdecker from Alcoa. Had a lil of an off year last year backing up Lindsey, but I look forward to watching him.
  14. Thanks Harvo, although I don't read my post until after someone else has posted again. Pretty good words of Wisdom. Big games for both these teams in there district coming up. Rockwood and Harriman and coalfield and Wartburg. Both teams shouldn't have much trouble at all, but we all know games are played on the court not on paper.
  15. How can anyone trash Cosby? They haven't been beatin all year. Todd Jenkins is the worst player you've ever seen? That is just disrespect. Personally I think every team has the chance to beat any team. They just have to convert and get some stops. Last time I checked everytime before the game starts the scoreboard says 0-0. Now, I don't know anything about Cocke Co., but I would say that Cosby,13-1, would give Cocke County,2-10, a good run for their money. I think my pride would feel a whole lot better if I was 13-1 in A, than if i was 2-10 in AA. Does todd have to sit out again or two? It is none of my busness what he did, but I think some schools if you are suspended you must sit out 2 games. PS If you can't keep the game close It doesn't do alot of good. And Cherokee beat Cocke County 58-44, but Cherokee lost to cosby 86-63. Now everyone is gonna start saying something about this, but on paper Cosby looks about 20+ better than Cocke county.
  16. To start off with, I cleary said TWO of Wartburg's five starters had three fouls. And If you read again I give credit to Rockwood. Rockwood has a good team. We all know that. Wartburg has a good team. We all know that rather we are going to admit it or not. USC fell last night to a less-talented, but big hearted Texas team. The only reason I said that was because When I compared Wartburg to USC it was a metaphor to state that USC was going to lose. Remember Wartburg and Rockwood play again at Wartburg, which will be senior night. I was told from a friend of mine who attends Rockwood, that that was the best ball Rockwood had played most of the year. And the thing about Kennesaw was just stating that Wartburg can play with "AWSOME" competition. PS If that wasn't Kennesaw's Varsity, Juniors and Seniors, There Varsity must be one of the most talented teams in The Southeast. If I wanted an English lesson I would go to someone with an English major. If you do congrats.
  17. No disrespect, coaching, but how many Wartburg games have you attended? Everyone from Wartburg including most players will tell you that the guys play to the level of their compition. That is why they are losing. The better teams are getting up. Wartburg can fight back agianst Coalfield, Sunbright, Oakdale teams like that, but Rockwood, Pickett, and The rest of the teams that are good teams, yes that does include OS, are just too talented to catch up with. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season. Wartburg's girl did come away with a win though, so we do have something to brag about.
  18. Excuse me, SIR. Was you at the game? Two of Wartburg's 5 starters had 3 fouls in the first quarter. If you weren't there then you don't have anything to say. The clock keeper couldn't hit the right buttons. He hit the horn right in the middle of the game. There was 22 second on the clock in the fourth quarter. Wartburg or Rockwood, do not remember, called a timeout. Next thing you know there is .1 on the clock. They reset the clock to 16. If you would have read the post carefully you would have noticed I said "The team played great." I have no disrespect for Rockwood. When they were just about to run out; I looked at my friend sitting by me and said, " I have a bad feeling about this." I have a great deal of respect for Mofitt, Micheal, and Jaime. I have a great deal of respect for Coach K. Rockwood has always been a better team than anyone gives credit. By the way look at the scoreboard about Kennesaw. Wartburg didn't see near as much of Kennesaw's JV as Everyone else did. Look at the scores also of the games they have lost. Kennesaw won by 14, Pickett by 4, Rockwood by 7. These were all great games. Wartburg does not lay down easy; that is what I meant by Wartburg is a hard team to beat. Every team worked hard for their wins and they earned them. BUT WE all know the tournys are really all the matter. Regular season is just pride and placement. 47-74 Rockwood Vs. Kennesaw
  19. Wartburg is still a hard team to beat. Noone has blowed them out. Rockwood had a lil help from higher forces. Now, I know they were probley trying, but some of those calls were crazy. The ref's missed two backcourt calls right in front of them. Rockwood did win and the team played great. All the great lose besides USC.
  20. I didn't hear one about Vespie. Everytime Jeremy touched the ball they yelled Ball hog. And Everytime DJ touched the ball they yelled Air ball. After the game I heard let's play baseball, and Maybe one let's play football, but I didn't hear one on Vespie. About the ref's they were terrible more toward Wartburg than Rockwood, but this doesn't leave Wartburg an Excuse. They missed FT when Rockwood hit, they failed to score when Rockwood could. Wartburg was in bad foul trouble early, Rockwood played a lil more picky. Not to take anything away from Mofitt, or Gilmore, or #44, but Without Hackler last night it would have been no where close. The kid played like a real player, blocked shot, hit open shots, got boards. He is my player of the year in the District SO FAR.
  21. He is just a sophmore I believe. He is not a bad shooter but I wouldn't say best in the state. Look Forward to watching him play soon.
  22. They have a 6'3, about, Post player names TC. He was extremely talented inside.
  23. I've seen quite a few good Sophmores. If I had to pick one it would be T.C from Pickett County. Kid through it down and drew the foul, he was playing like a senior leader. Who are some other Super Sophmores out there?
  24. Did you play recently? If so... you were a very exciting player to watch, one of my favorites in the last 5 years.
  25. I still say Kayla Christopher. She is awsome. I seen her play against Coalfield who was ranked very high at the time. She only scored 8 or something like that but she made some wicked cool passes. She is in the running for Region MVP. This is pretty weird because this Region Possess 2 State Teams from last year. Both teams only losing 1 starter a piece. She controls that flow of the game and is gonna go somewhere very good.
