  1. I stand corrected maybe they don't belong in the Top 40. Just another good basketball team as there are many.
  2. Dickson County still untested. Blew out White Co. as suspected....
  3. I really don't understand why Dickson County is not in the top 40. Time will tell......
  4. Is Waverly strong tis year? And who wins 11AA?
  5. I had the pleasure of meeting Alexa Middleton and some of the Riverdale girls I watched at state last year and just wanted to thank them for participating in the fall league at AGAME. There are a lot of young girls out there that look up to them and they carry themselves well, including the parents that were there. Alexa was very complimentary of our 8th graders. Thank you.
  6. Congratulations to Agame and Tennessee Team Pride 7th Grade Girls for their finish at Nationals in Cincinnati this past weekend. Agame finished 5th in Division II and TTP finished 2nd in Division I. Agame went 7-1 losing a tough game in the Elite 8 and coming back to win the next two to finish 5th. TTP was undefeated going in to the championship game. TTP lead early but was unable to hang on and finally giving way to an outstanding West Virginia team. Way to go girls!!! You represented Tennessee well!!!
  7. Can't wait for the tournament this weekend. Lots of good competition, anybody know of any teams to watch out for by grade and division?
  8. Great tournament at Agame this weekend! Just wanted to thank all the Alabama teams for coming up and making the tournament a great success. Meet some really fine people from local teams as well.
  9. I'm not familiar with their program, but based on their facilities and the spirit and support of the people who I met from their school I would say if they hire the right person they can be very good in Basketball.
  10. Who is going this weeknd? Grade and team
  11. Why wouldn't you report it to TSSAA? And why do you all keep talking about hiding? And who's running? What's that about? Lol I wouldn't mind meeting any of you all, you're probably pretty good people. If you want to brawl, you'll have to find someone else, I've done enough of that for two lifetimes. Just glad I was fortunate enough to live through it. When I was stationed in San Antonio we played tackle football on Saturday afternoons, it always ended in a brawl! On a serious note, if you have first hand knowledge of recruiting violation it's your duty to report it.
  12. Money and power.... I have had three to four jobs most of my life to try and give my kids a better a better way of life and provide for their care. I helped pay my parents bills when my dad lost his job and we almost lost our home for almost three years, soph, jun, and senior years in high school. Money and power, that's comical. I served in the Air Force during the first Gulf war, worked many part time jobs trying to pay my way thru MTSU, you can't imagine the sacrifice and long hours, with a family counting on you. I guess the really sad part of your post is to pass judgement on someone you don't know. I don't really know the motives of your post, maybe to stir bad feelings. I'm not sure, but no harsh feelings here I wish the best for you and your family and I've never been concerned with being politically correct. There are a lot of things I need to work on to be a better person, but I do speak from the heart and if you or anyone else ever needed my help I am one person you could count on no matter what the cost. As far as my beliefs, that's personal. I was just trying to give some insight as to why someone would send their kids to CPA. I have never hid behind anything. I stand for what I stand for...why would I need to hide behind something.
  13. What should a parent do? When fundamental christian values are removed from school, the basketball program at the school their child is zoned for is in disarray, and nobody seems to care. When you have done all you can do with the youth program to help build a program and your child has worked extremely hard for years to excel. When you finally find a good coach, christian, and really caring person through an AAU program and decide thats what you want for your child, along wih a tremendous education and to see so much hatred towards those very ideals is very disturbing. The reason CPA has become so successful is because of what they have to offer.... A caring, christian environment, along with a commitment to not just athletics, but theatre, music, and the arts. I know this post will not change any opinions and is not intended to, but it may give some insight as to why some parents with talented athletes would choose to send their children to CPA.
