Here are my guesses If they do it like they did last year. I would say Herink will get player of the year. Moore or Standifer will get offense player of the year and the other will get QB of the year. Pittman will for sure be running back of the year. He got it last year. Williams or Francois will get WR of the year. Crisp will be DB of the year. Jackson or Gatewood will be LB of the year. DJ Jones or Herndon will be defensive MVP and the other will be special teams player of the year. Not sure about the O-Line and D-Line awards.

Jordan Timmons LB Bradley over shadowed by Trevino but leads the team in tackles and fumbles forced and recovered. Dalton Cooley DE Bradley 15 tackles for a loss and 6.5 sacks on the year also overshadowed by Trevino. Dre Sanders RB McMinn County great back suffering from losing the whole O-Line from last year. Colton Morrow Walker Valley big play maker on a bad team. Dalton McDonald, Jonathan Terrero and Darius Pillow from Cleveland nobody on defense at cleveland gets enough recognition. Tre Carter WR Soddy Daisy one of the best playmakers in the district just on a bad team.

Man 1300 yds and 12 tds and that is 5th best numbers in your district. WOW!!!

No that is only passing stats I dont have exact rushing stats but after last night I think Herink is right at 220 yds rushing with 9 tds on the year and Standifer is right at 350 with 6 tds. I am not trying to argue either just stating facts.

Not only those 2 games left but Ooltewah, East Hamilton and Cleveland could all very easily meet again in the playoffs. Man this has been a great year for this district so far.

You say Austin has outperformed Standifer all year. If you look at the numbers they look even to me. I think Herink, Standifer, Moore and Binder are all about even that is why these teams are all so evenly matched. Binder has the best running game and that is why they are sitting in first in the district right now. If Cleveland runs the ball like they did last night they could be the ones to beat Ooltewah. But we all get what your saying you are a Cleveland fan and cant give anyone else any credit.

I think Passive meant QB ability to run the ball. Anyway Herink ran the ball well along with #28 and #8. This was a great game and Cleveland just made one more play than Bradley at the end. I would like to see what would happen if Bradley QB doesnt get hurt mid 2nd qtr and play the rest of the game on one leg because he was picking Cleveland apart until that point. I hope he is good to go because I dont think Bradley will beat McMinn without him and they have to have that win and beat Soddy to pretty much lock up a playoff spot. Cleveland should beat Walker Valley which I think will put them in the playoffs and if they beat Ooltewah the next week they will become big Bear fans for the next week against East Hamilton. If everything works out the way it looks like it is going to Ooltewah, Cleveland, East Hamilton and Bradley should all get in the playoffs and they are all good enough to maybe make some noise if they get in there.

Like Passive said this is 5AAA not 6AA. You are not going to mercy rule every team in this district. If you would sit back and look you are in the same spot you were last year. I am sure Coach Gatewood plays the best kids. If someone you are there to watch is not getting playing time I can promise you he has not earned it. Sit back and enjoy the season you have going because with the way Gate schedules non district games and playing in this district you will not be 5-1 very often at this point.

Walker Valley just wanted a win against Bradley. Even it was just JV. But after the way Bradley beat them last Friday not sure anyone will even notice that their JV won.

I dont know who to pull for Chattacane or Passive. I would like to see both of you lose. I think both teams will score defensive TDs and EH#21 is going to make a big play to win the game. Chattacane 31 Passive 27

Mcminn will lose to Oak Ridge 35-7 Cherokees are going to struggle to win another game Cleveland will beat Soddy 63-14 Cleveland looks like the best team in the district and Soddy will battle McMinn for the bottom spot East Hamilton over Ooltewah 31-27 This one is going to be a good one. Ooltewah WRs vs EH DBs is going to be the key. I say EH#21 makes a big play to win the game. Bradley over Walker Valley 42-28 Just dont think WV can outscore Bradley.

This score does not tell the tale about this game. Look at the stats. EH dominated this game statistically. Penalties did help keep it close but EH mistakes also played a part in this game being close. Even when WV tied it up I never felt they had a chance. To beat EH you have to tackle their playmakers in space. Their QB gets rid of it quick and lets the playmakers go to work and their best playmaker did not even play, EH is still the team to beat in the district because they have not been beaten yet but keep having penalties and turnovers and they wont stay unbeaten for long. WV is still in the bottom half of the district and will be there for a while unfortunately.

From what I saw Saturday night. I think they will implode if they do not do something with the stud, thug, tupac or whatever you want to call him. The way he acted over a jamboree loss was ridiculous and I cant imagine what he will do when an actual game does not go his way.

All I have read and heard about is how hard the RB for Ooltewah has been working to fix his personal problems. From what I saw last night the kid needs to be kicked off the team and that is the bottom line. The way he acted was totally uncalled for and I have never seen a kid act like that. He threw his helmet and another player picked it up for him. Then he jerked away from the head coach and walked off by himself. After shaking hands with the Rhea players (was not in line with his team, he was on the opposite side of the Rhea kids from his team) he threw his shoulder pads off and a coach picked them up and carried them. Then he would not even get in the huddle with his team and kept jerking away from all his coaches and teammates. I don't care how good he is or what may happen to him if he is kicked off the team. HE SHOULD BE GONE. PERIOD.

I agree the enthusiasm was not there like a Bill Price coached team usually has but McCallie is one of the most disciplined and well coached teams they will see. I am sure Price will have them ready for the Canes next week.

Yes. Cleveland looked good. Defense looked improved and they are very explosive on offense. DJ Jones had a great night. Bradley also looked good. Defense dominated Tyner and offensively they just missed on a couple throws that would have probably went for scores. Going back tonight to watch the rest of the distirct and if they all look like these 2 did this is going to be an exciting year in 5AAA.

With East Hamilton coming in to the district and Rhea leaving they had to play at Polk again to keep it at 5 home and 5 away. I guess they did not want to have a year with only 4 home games next year.

The Baylor kicker is #1. They said it on sports talk yesterday. I think 5AAA is well represented in this and wouldn't worry to much about who didn't make the list. I am ready for some football.

I have looked over all the rules to be an elgible transfer and the rule is you have to have a bona fide change of address to compete in sports and from what I understand he and his parents have been living in Bradley County since December. His little brother is also going to school in Bradley County so it sounds like he is legal to me. Not sure what you are talking about. Kids change schools every year to play sports for another school.

Yeah I have alot of spare time. I could have sworn it was Webb. I was told one of the DBs was Todd Kelley Jr. Anyway McMinn did not look good lost a lot on both lines but you know they are always tough and Webb/West looked fast. McMinn got dominated until both teams went to 2nd strings and then McMinn looked alot better.
