Why would Fitzgerald come back? He has the whole Hixson community excited about football again and with East Hamilton gone has a shot at winning the district this year. Allen has coached at every school in the Chattanooga area he is not going to stay long if he does come. Go out and get a young coach and give him time to build a program. Rhea is a long way from where everyone wants them to be and it is not going to happen overnight.

Good point. If all it takes to win is a stud RB they have one of those. He didnt get alot of credit last year because of Wells but Sanders can play. The best thing about this District is everyone can make a point as to why they are going to win it with the exception of 2 teams.

They are not anywhere near the top 50 now. They have lost more than they have won in the last 2 weeks. Baylor, Walker Valley and GPS are the best teams in the Chattanooga area no doubt.

You need to read the whole thing I said you were right that anyone could win the district. I was referring to the other 2 on here that think the East Hamilton vs Ooltewah game is the 5A state championship game this year. Cant wait for some football.

Your right and from all the talk on here everyone in the district should just give up now and let Ooltewah and East Hamilton play for the championship.

I had heard that about this young man but did not want to believe it because he is an exceptional football player. I have heard the rumor that he is going to Cleveland. From what I have seen and heard from Coach Crawford that is not going to work out for the young man. That kind of behavior will not be tolerated. Maybe a new school could help him but Cleveland is not far enough away from Ooltewah to help him get a fresh start. I hope everything works out for him I would love to see him get to play on Saturdays and straighten his life out.

Hope they both have great seasons......This district should be a lot tougher this year with Rhea leaving and East Hamilton replacing them. I feel that any of the top 5 teams could win this thing (depending on transfers). Here is my prediction.1. EH 2. Cleveland 3. Bradley 4. Ooltewah 5. McMinn 6. WV 7. SD And all of the top 5 make the playoffs. Hopefully.

I would like to get back to discussing the district and not downing kids. Which is all you have done when it comes to the Standifer kid. Not sure what your problem is? Lot of talk about QBs in the district. Took some digging but here are last years stats on the 4 that have been mentioned. Name Pass Yards TD Int Rush Yards TD Moore 1360 15 2 75 5 Herink 2288 20 6 92 3 Binder 1265 14 5 -27 1 Standifer 1831 15 6 488 3 Moore and Binder both played 3 playoff games and those are included.

Not sure if he is as good as Stovall but Crisp was the WR of the year in the District and they also had another good receiver that made all district, not sure of his name. Both are returning.

If Hurd has another year this year like last he will be the best ever in TN no doubt. His performance in the state finals says it all.

East Ham is in 5A now so Signal will be the best 4A team in the area. They will win their District easily but they are playing a good out of district schedule.

I agree but nothing is being mentioned of the transfer to Bradley. He deserves to be mentioned with the other 3 everyone is talking about but has just been on a bad team for 3 years.

Ooltewah will walk through their District and they have the pitching to make it to state.
