  1. Seriously guys, lets try to keep the gloating to one thread. Here it is.

The game thread needs to be about the game, not how some idiot thinks the JV for Maryville is in the top 20 in TN and other foolishness like that. All the other threads are generally specific to one team or issue or district and should not be seen as a chance for Maryville posters to come in and tell everyone how Maryville does it. We all already know. You've been telling it for years all the while denying part of the puzzle that makes it work.

Gloat away in here all you want. Try to keep your well deserved pride a little more contained and a little less disrespectful simply because you throw your Maryville rhetoric all over just about every thread Try to show the discipline and control with your posting that your team has on the field. Some of the rest of us who would like to hear something other than just the Maryville opinions and comparisons.

Congrats on another great season. Work hard and maybe you can get two in a row next year like a few other programs in TN did this year.

Let the flaming of me being and then get back to your gloating. Please try to keep it to this thread. Many of you won't. Thanks in advance for proving me right. Many of you will.

    Here are some starting questions to get you going with this thread;

How many touchdowns did MHS have this year? Most ever?

    What records were broken?

What up and coming players are better than the current state championship players?

Who is your biggest 2nd grader in the county? Fastest? What about the newborns? Got a bunch of big, strong, fast kids in the maternity ward?

Other than Quarle's, who else's poop doesn't stink in the Maryville school "zone"?

Do Rankin and Quarles have a regular date night?

    You're welcome.

    AAAH-CHOO

  2. I probably shouldn't say this, but I'm not sure that Hendersonville team would beat our JV

I probably shouldn't say this either but our JV might be in the top twenty in all of Tennessee but defiantly the top twenty five.  With eight starters back on defense and six on offense the biggest hurdle G.Q. will have on his hands this off season will be getting the next Q.B. polished and ready but for the last fifteen seasons he's never failed yet.  Most of the backups at all the other positions have experienced players coming back but there will be a few that we never have heard of come from nowhere and surprise us as usual.

  3. Congrats to maryville. You guys have proven once again that you are the best team in the state regardless of classification. Class program top to bottom. On to next year. I can only imagine how good that team will be next year with all of the returning starters. Time to start defending your weak schedule full of cupcakes. Now where did I put my 7AAA/SEC cool aid stained t-shirt.

Going to be honest with you about those cupcakes. I believe in my heart if you had the best ten football teams in Tennessee three of those teams were Alcoa, Sevier County and Knox West. I would bet my life any of those three would have won against Hendersonville Saturday Night and I'm not taking anything away from the Comandoes but we played three better teams this year and we know it.

  4. To the best of my recollection the field will be turf next season in the same place with a few renovations to the stadium but the structure will remain the same.

I'm glad to hear that. I know they've been playing on that field since 1940 if I'm not mistaken and that's a lot of great teams and memories on that field.

  5. The Hendersonville did have a good arm and threw two beautiful passes, one going for a touchdown and the other was deflected or that would have been another 6 points. Could have been a better game if they were playing something in a better offence than the Wing-T. I know you can't scrap your offence in the last game but surely they watched the film of the Webb game with a Tennessee recruit and got stopped cold.

  6. I'm not going to put those guys down because their emotions carried them away and they went out and did something they shouldn't have. I hope they let that pass and the only thing that happens is their responsible for the damages and go on with life. Those guys are human and they made a real bad mistake so move forward and forget. That would be the best thing that would happen there.

  7. Can one of you Tornadoes fans tell me if they are going to keep the same field at Alcoa and rebuild a new stadium or will it be somewhere else. Lot of great history has played out on that field and I sure would hate to see them move it.

  8. The guy that cuts my hair informed last week when I went to get a haircut that if someone dug deep into the Maryville Program you would find the dirt because no team can win like that for such a long time unless there aren't illegal things happening behind the scenes. He also informed me that he would like to be a fly on the wall when all of this eventually breaks and they find out how Maryville is really winning. These are some of the funny things people will say that have no clue what their talking about. When I left there I just laughed about it and moved that story into my top ten for the year just waiting for the next good one to be told.

  9. Maryville reminds me of Shelbyville girls basketball in the 80's and 90's. Everybody wondered how they  didit  every year. George Quarles is a great coach, but he gets help with transfers from other schools, just like Gary Rankin does.

An old protected family story passed down from one generation to the next when talking about Maryville.   "Hey Pa Pa, when do you think we'll ever beat Maryville?"  "We'll never beat Maryville because they recruit and let those football players go to school free sonny."

If I had a nickel for every time I heard some retarded redneck say that I would be a millionaire. My parents sent me to Maryville when I was a kid because they didn't want me to end up like they did without a diploma because the school they went to could care less. Maryville is a big school now and has 1,500 kids and to my knowledge has one kid on that team that has came in here from another county. What are the odds of that happening?  One kid does not make that program and never has. That's why you don't see someone start both ways at Maryville. Most kids that have a super ability in football play every down of a game at most other schools. Also while I'm at it I would like to kill this story passed down from generation to generation is the myth those kids all play football as kids learning the Maryville system such as plays and other horse crap stories. Those kids are taught discipline from the ground up and by a good group of good coaches that are not paid to do that but give their time and hard effort in helping these young kids grow. Most of those kids do end up going to Maryville but a few go to other schools which is all well also and that's why we pull for each of the other schools in the county when we're not playing each other because we all know each other.

  10. I understand but don't put up a barbed wire fence along the way. It becomes an eyesore.

I didn't send a bunch of silly kids over there with that flag, I just came to watch a good ballgame. I could care less what actions that would have happened to someone that went to the other side with a flag because they deserved what they got.  Personally had I been a cop I would have sent them on to the parking lot before they got to the other side and that would be that.  Now the band playing that stupid long drawn out  getto music every time we had the ball was with the blessing of an adult which would have been the music director of the school. Had I been a ref I would stop that crap in it's tracks.  Every year we have to go listen to that crap from one of those Memphis Schools but I didn't expect that from Hendersonville.

  11. Maybe I'm missing something you guys think having "class" is about. but calling coach Q classy?? I don't think going for it on 4th down when you're up 44-7 late in the 4th is very classy. If anything, Coach Hatfield is a class act for even shaking his hand after the game for doing that. Either way Maryville was the better team, but that wasn't class at all no matter how you look at it.

You know what's classless? Your Flipping band playing every time Maryville had the ball the whole time they had the ball. That was what Whitehaven did when we played them last year and that surprised me that your school would lower itself to that level. That had more to do with pissing off the Maryville fans and in my book G.Q. could of put 20 more points on the board than what was on there. The only time they didn't play was just before halftime and in the fourth quarter but we figured their lips got stuck to the instruments since it was so cold. Your just mad because it didn't turn out like you wanted and it being such a one sided game.

  12. RAIN AND MORE RAIN.....

That is one of the reason's I wrote that about the snow that day. Strange  things happen because of the weather and even things out. I also know about a dozen people that have decided to stay at home that were going which hurts fan support. I'm not counting chickens like some people are plus I have heard a few things the past day or so that could even this out even more. I look for a tough football game Saturday.

  13. I remember so well back in 2000 when we went to the State with four loses and I'm sure Memphis East had to think all they had to do was just show up and pick up the trophy. I'm also sure when they looked at our schedule and saw Heritage beat the crap out of us 28-0 and we just slid past Hixson in the first round 24-21 the same thing we're thinking about Hendersonville. I remember talking to one of the coaches that week at the Ford dealership and his very words were I hope we can hold it respectable because they had speed we have never seen before. Well friends it snowed just enough to make the field slicker than owl s*** that they couldn't cut or turn the corners on us. If ever a miracle on earth ever happened in my lifetime that would be one of them but we also came to play because they just showed up for the trophy. I'm sure G.Q. will have us ready but don't ever underestimate any team in the championship game because there is a reason they are there.
