  1. I pull for all the schools in Blount County but the county system sometimes is it's own worst enemy. When I think of William Blount they remind me of the Everett Bulldogs so much it isn't even funny. They come up with a team maybe every seven years or so and go through one coach after the next in hopes this will be the one. Now for Heritage, they remind me of that school that no longer exist called Maynardville Red Devils. You could always count on opening your little Peek'Size Football Guide every year and look at all the teams and they would be 0-10 or 1-9 every year.

  2. I want you all to mark this down on the wall somewhere and don't paint over it. I'm just about willing to bet that Scott Meadows will be coaching in Blount County again but his next stop will be Heritage High. After watching that train wreck play Alcoa and Maryville and I saw how many seniors started on both sides of the ball in both of those ball games I realized it will be years before Tim will have anything decent out there and I just wonder sometimes if he is enjoying this or is he thinking "What the heck did I get myself into". At the age of fifty seven I can't see this show go on forever. I do believe he is doing a good job in working the feeder system but that will be years down the road. I just believe in my opinion Meadows will be the next Heritage Coach because he hasn't burned any bridges out there and those people know it would stick it to William Blount.

  3. The only flaw to this mess is to many teams are in the playoffs. All this crap does is open a chance to get one of your good players hurt before you get to the games that count. Hope it rains cats and dogs that night just for the sake of watching it cost TSSAA money for doing something so foolish. I would rather set at home that first week and watch a moth climb a drape as to pay to watch a 10-0 team play a 5-5 team.

  4. Fulton and Maryville in the public high school league. To bad they are less than twenty miles apart and not scheduled. Can argue like cats and dogs over this all day long but we will never know so the best thing is to pull for each other and hope East Tennessee brings back two trophies. Just recently Mickey and Heather spouted off their opinions on radio and all the sudden almost everyone in Maryville can't stand either. Mickey calls the Beaden games and he paid heck that night from .ticked off Maryville fans when Bearden came to town. If my memory serves me right Fulton beat Bearden 52-0 and had 450 yards and Maryville won 51-0 with 650 yards that night with the J.V. team playing most of the second half.

  5. William Blount made a bad mistake by not trying to hire Scott Meadows back when it had the chance this past year. I can't blame Scott for leaving to go to Catholic for what they were paying him. He had no choice but to leave on what he was making at William Blount. The best teams in the history of that football program were under his watch and that was the one coach that had Maryville's attention.

  6.  I was really surprised to go to a game like that and the scoreboard not work. Something you would expect at some school located way out in the middle of nowhere but Farragut, no way. Also the public address system sounded more like the speaker at a Wendy's Drive Through. I couldn't hear anything the guy said all night long. Then the field looked like the last time it was lined off must of been after the third of fourth game. Anyway I still had a good time at the game and even though Maryville did win big Farragut did play hard and didn't give up and what a great run for a touchdown before halftime by number one from Farragut. Can't wait to see who plays who next week

  7. I watched Heritage play a couple of times this year and they start seven to eight seniors on both sides of the ball so I don't see anything in the near future. Also watched the JV and Freshman teams play and they only had two plays, sweep right or sweep left. After I saw that I made my mind up fast that the program is a mess. Love to see Heritage rebuild into something good but Tim has his work cut out for him and at the age of fifty seven will he be here that long to see something like that through.

There should be a special division for teams that have hit the bottom like this to only play against each other and when one team starts to win then they can graduate out of that group back into the regular system. There is no fun in watching certain teams lose every game year after year. Right off bat Heritage, Halls, Karns, Cocke County,Kingston and Austin East would be just a small list of schools that have fell on hard times. Doing this would bring fans back into the stands and kids back out to play football.

  8. Maryville has a nice stadium close to the action but to many rules such as no flags on poles, animals, laser pointers and the list just goes on all for the simple fact they don't have the guts to say no Rebel Flags. My advise is stop and go to a bathroom before you get there because the restrooms are the pits. Another sad note is the concession stands are run by idiots and the food is horrible. I had two hot dogs there one night that were so dried up they looked like Slim Jim's on a hot dog bun so my advise is to also eat somewhere else before going there.
