My last time about the defense. We have 2 starters on the field this year on defense that started last year (#4 and #85) and #85 is playing a new position. Yes some others got minutes but way young on D. Coach Watson was a good coach and is definitely missed, my boy loved playing for him and coach D got the best out of him. We simply don't have the numbers, experience or size we typically have, especially if we're gonna play 22. My issue is that we scouted them and found out they were a big screen team and we must have given up 200yds in screen passes, seems like we're having trouble taking the coaching to the field which will happen with inexperience.

Hokey-Smokey BBQ on Broad St has good brisket and wings. Southern Smoke is in close proximity on Center St, both are good. I bet your GPS can find Kingsport, mine can't even spell Oolte..what ever...I wish your Owls safe travel. Hope we can compete with the #LOP.

BA QB is soph and best wr a freshman? Either these kids can play or they have a week upperclass.. u tell me.

If the owls run and hit like the EH defense from last year all I can say is get out the ice packs...that was a fast hard hitting team...that was one hard hitting game, by the time we played OHS we were banged up good...should be a good game Friday...safe travels

Worst called game I've "EVER" seen. Hope #71 is OK, some rough tactics used by our brethren from Washington Co. a great comeback win by our freshmen.

I'll take SH and our local kids in this one...SH won't be as shell shocked as last year and they are IMO better than last year...BA is banged up and SH will take advantage. Just a trolls opinion.

Hope our defense can continue to come up big and overcome our turnovers. Turned it over 2x inside our own 20 in the first half vs SC and 3 x all together in the first half and just gave up 17 Pts. Can't turn it over and put defense back on the field. they're on there long enough with a passing offense that is quick strike or quick punt/turnover.

DC passed the ball because DB had the box loaded. Qb was second in the conf passing and back was avg 15 tds per carry, pick your poison. Don't think the DC plan was to pass ball all night but after 1st series they saw DB wasn't gonna let Hill beat them and control the clock and decided that was their only recourse. DB sec gave up 114 yds on 25 passing attempts not too bad. If OFF looks like it did tonight vs OHS we will be in for a long night. Too many sacks and drops.

Always want to beat SH, but root for local kids and want them to succeed....next week will be the litmus test for SH vs BA.

Toppers pile it on siegel at home sending them to 0-5. What goes around comes around, just ask EH. SH will take revenge for last years defeat. SH 56-14.

It is actually in response to a direct statement made at the DB schedule / opponent in case you didn't read it... back to Acumen.. were those completions against Crockett or Eliz? If he was 0-3 vs Mo West.. either way not enough data vs similarly competitive teams to tell. We know MM is a runner have been watching him for 6 years now..JB is a good thrower, JMO that the kid from SC was a better QB at this time due to his experience. Even though they are same grade he has had 2 yrs starting.

This statement is debatable. SC had a very good QB and receiving corp and I would actually give their QB the edge in throwing and SH's McGue the edge in the run. SH would possibly get the edge in receivers strictly due to White and his ability to go get it. The few times I've seen the second QB for SH he wasn't as accurate. Of course everyone has off nights.

Not my philosophy, but that's what I have observed. #12 is a good addition to this team after losing last years starters. he had some good plays against a very good passing team in SC, the 2 soph 7 & 26 are not the same ones that played in jamboree. Learning every game.

In the 3 games that we have played teams that were competitive we have give up 78 points. We were lucky to only give up that much considering we have had 6 picks and 2 fumbles in those 3 games. SC called off the dogs off on BHS in the first game so that can't be a measuring stick. Bend but don't break had been the philosophy of the DB coordinator since I've been watching. D has come up big in 1st and 4th games when needed and was actually good in the EH game after first score. Always helps to have ur DC on the field.

SH over Siegel by 3 tds Mw was not bad team beat Cherokee 55-7 too much speed across the board

The purple prognosticators were wrong on the score and the winner but they got one the right Deuce is a good player...

I was told by one of their coaches there were a few 10th graders playing for sh. Sh has some good players but it was on no way a nail biter. Db has improved since that game. Don't know what the rest of that stuff was.

The DB 9th grade game with SH 9 &10 was not as close as 27-20. SH threw 2 hail marys at the end of the first half and the end of the game. With under 2 min left it was 27-13. watch out for that 2nd P.
