Stewart County Coach Cody Finley has been in charge of the program for 1 full year and has gained the respect of the young men at Stewart County. These young men have seen a tremendous amount of turnover and turmoil during the last 4 years. A different coach ever year after Holiday left. My son has his football friends over and I hear them talking about their coach and the things he tells them And the way he motivates them. I know there are a lot of good coaches in district 11AA but I think that the Rebels finally have a keeper. Hope he will stay. I am looking forward to Spring ball and what it brings. If you see Finley around tell him Stewart County believes in him. We may never be a football power but I do think he will make some noise. We will see!

Stewart County returns 8 players on each side of the ball. How competetive they will be remains to be seen. I have high hopes for them to improve on their 3 win season. I know if hard work will help then Coach Finley should field a better team but you all know this is one tough district and we are just trying to get better. Good luck and will see you next fall! I don't know enough about the rest of the teams to predict who will win the district or make the playoffs but you do not bet against the traditional powers and you know who they are.

Had surgery last week and cannot come but will be keeping up from home. District 11AA is counting on you to get this one. Got to find a way to win, you have come too far.

I hope for the kids sake that Waverly can make the right hire. Its not easy turning around a program but I do feel good about the program at Stewart and feel that with Finley things will improve. I have a son playing for him and know that the kids have bought into him taking them forward. Good luck Waverly and there is another Hampton out there. I just hope our Hampton is named Cody Finley!

Congratulations to both teams on a hard fought and entertaining game. Wish I could have been there to see it. Lewis County moves on, when you get to where you are now it is about putting yourself in a position to win. The goal line stand was huge, giving yourself a chance. Good luck as you keep moving on. I have a son who plays left guard for the Rebels of Stewart County, He is a junior.

Saw Hickman County play last Friday night and they are a solid team. Their defense will hit and hit hard!

Stewart County has struggled a bit as of late but they continue to play hard. The game vs East Hickman was a good one midway thru the 3rd quarter . A fumble returned for a touchdown by East Hickman swung the momentum. As a dad of one of the Rebel players I can honestly say I am excited about Stewart County football. The team that Finley is fielding will for the most part return next season. Lewis County is a huge challenge for these boys but they are having fun and they believe In themselves and their coach. Let's see what happens the rest of the season. Good luck to both teams and I pray that the injuries that occured against East Hickman stay away. Go rebels!

I watched the Camden-Fairview game and Camden played a good game. Conditioning hurt them but it is a bit cooler and they are in better shape now. Have not seen Lewis but hear they are as always , tough. Should be a good one.

Congratulations to Coach Finley on his 3rd win in 4 games so far this season. Enjoy the bye and the victory. Defense stepped up tonight. Cannot say enough good things about the Rebel Coach.

This coach Finley is the real deal . Stewart County football has a bright future with this man leading and yes he has the Rebel Nation behind him. Can't wait to see the program that he will build!

Lewis county is probably the only team left on the schedule that can take advantage of the only defensive weakness that Fairview has.

I see a loss on the schedule for Fairview but not this Friday.

We were beaten soundly by a very good Fairview team, what can I say. Finley will go back to work and we will be better. Still a lot of football to be played.
