  1. Milan has been a tad dissapointing this. However, they are a few plays away from being 5-1, with the loss to Huntingdon (which, if they don't make it to Cookeville, I'll be shocked).

Bolivar's defense is struggling despite offense scoring 900 points a game. Yes, they hold South Side to 7 points, but I'm going to buy in on Bolivar because of one game. South Side is  significantly better, but they're inconsistent.

Covington has met my expectations this year and beyond. Winning at Milan in OT is a good win, don't care about the slight drop Milan has. I have Covington winning this region, right now.

South Gibson has been the most surprised team this year, but I found out why they are and I'm not surprised at all.

Right now: Covington, SGC, Bolivar, Milan.

but there's a lot of important games left. Especially Bolivar/Milan and Covington/Bolivar.

  2. Got to start off with Patrick Willis.

The big powerful running back that played at Henry County in the years 2008-2010. Forgot his name, but he was a big and strong running back.

    Johnny Jones from Crockett County

    Avery Williamson from Milan

Cordarrian Richardson from Trezevant (currently plays at UCF)

Andrew Goldsmith from TCA (I'll put his senior stats in there but he was also a QB)

Zaveon Johnson from Bruceton as well. He was pretty much all the Tigers had and he didn't dissapoint.

Cordarrius Mann from North Side. He had a few 2,000 plus yards as a Indian and currently holds the most rushing yards in Bethel's history.

Chase Hayden from St. George's. Mr. Football winner and plays at Arkansas.

    Devin Bush from Liberty

    Courtney Bush from Liberty

Mine as well say Steven Bush from Liberty.

Theddus Medford from Dyer County. A underrated running back.

    Tony Pollard from East

And in 3 years from now:

DeCourtney Reed, Jordon Branch, and Eric Gray will be on the list.

  3. North Side girls won 1 game in the past two years, and that win was in February against a Millington team which only won 2-3 games last year. They won't have anything, MC girls will win via a running clock.

North Side boys will be an average .500 team. It's what they do.

South Gibson is a good team and we haven't beaten a good team yet.  Humbolt is 0-5, Tishomingo 2-6, and Freedom Prep is 2-3 with the 2 wins coming against teams with combined record of 2-8.

Hate to say it, but we only have 2 games left that we will have a chance in and that is at Fayette Ware and Westview and since they are on the road we may not get those.

I have to applaud you. I saw McNairy's expectation this season was wanting to be a .500 team, which is something y'all haven't been in a while. You realized that McNairy, despite having 3 wins, hasn't won against good teams. So kudos to you for being realistic.

    Prediction:

    SGC 31

    McNairy 14

  5. I'm not done with the NFL, I'll still watch it because the Titans are relevant again after beating the Seahwaks yesterday.

I'm not happy that kneeing down or sitting in the locker room is the first alternative for the way Trump is. And I don't know if anything will be solved because a lot of these players will take a knee, post all of this or that on social media saying what needs to be done, but will they actually do anything?

But they are mad at our President, that's all. Some of the things our President says is totally uncalled for and unprofessional. Have to remember that all the NFL are in a fraternity. Calling Collin Kaepernick a SOB, will pissed players off and Trump did just that.

Also, I don't know if NFL players are required to be on the field during the national anthem, but also remind ourselves that college teams and some high school teams don't have players out side during the national anthem. They're in the locker room.

Again, I'm not happy of what they're doing, but there platform is significantly way bigger than a bunch of random people posting stuff on a message board.

Probably more physical but not more talent.  TCA has the fastest kid in West Tn  playing WR and has one of the top RB's in West Tn.  Can they find a way to utilize them?  Can UC use their physicality to dominate?  Should be a really good ballgame.

    TCA 28  UC 21

Didn't know DeCourtney Reed transferred to TCA.

Ok, Humboldt has always had a football program & this year with only five (5) seniors, Vikings are just to young, no depth to compete regardless who's the coach. I'm a proud Viking alumni & this might be the worst season in Viking history might not win a game & you can go back fifty (50) plus years & that hasn't happen. People talking about shutting down the football program at Humboldt now that's funny because many teams (not putting anyone down) in the area have went many years without winning one (1) game. Humboldt has lost a lot of good players (due to family moving) to Trenton, Milan & South Gibson and not to mention Trey Smith (University School of Jackson) is originally from Humboldt. Humboldt Football will be back just want happen this year will have a lot of growing pains but let the kids play & learn. Hopefully, who ever the new coach is will get them back to playing football.

I don't know where Trey Smith is originally from, but I do know where he currently lives, and that is not in Humboldt. Close, but if he went to a public school, Humboldt wouldn't be the school he would go. Losing kids to Milan, Trenton, and South Gibson has nothing to do with athletics at Humboldt, it probably has to do with school as well.

I won't say that Humboldt should lose their football program, because they still have softball and baseball there, and I would assume that if Humboldt would to drop two programs, baseball and softball would probably go first. The Vikings are in a dry spell, but when you lose 20+ seniors, it's going to hurt for a 1A school. There was not enough reinforcement to back them up. Improve the facilities will help, I haven't seen Humboldt's facilities in a while though, something I'll probably find out soon.

So Stanks, I'm going to give my honest opinion on this game. As much as I would like it for Milan to beat the brakes off you guys I just don't see it. You boys are hot. Everything has been clicking for ya boys and it may not stop this week.

Milan has played well for the most recent art on the season. We have beat who we should have and played a couple of teams very tight. A fumble at a really bad time against Trenton cost us that game. A holding call against Covington late in the 4th qtr probably cost us that game. We need to stop shooting ourselves in the foot during crucial stretches of games. Great teams don't make those mistakes. Our oline has not been up to par but played really well against Covington despite the loss. I feel like it is really coming together for us.

Honestly i I think this game could go either way but I would make the Stanks the favorite cause you are at home and you pulled a close one against a good team already. (Waverly). Something Milan has yet to do.

Have to respect your honesty. Win's against North Side, Westview, and Humboldt, all three won't make the playoffs and two of the three have the worst offenses in West Tennessee (not completely sure, but I'll bet on it. Those two teams are NS and Humboldt).

  9. Unfortunately, you guys got the bad end of the draw. Good news, you went to Milan and beat them. A win at South Gibson will seal the deal if Bolivar loses another region game, which will probably happen because the Tigers still have to play Milan and Covington. If you win at SGC and Bolivar falls to Milan or Covington, chances are the Chargers will win the region based off tiebreaker. Unfortunately, I'm not sold on Bolivar because of their defense. I like their offense, but defense worries me so far.

I would say. ..that question has been asked so many times and it has been answered just as many.  I'm sorry but I don't want to answer it again.  It's just something our boys and coaching staff like to do and will probably keep doing.  That's all I have to say about that.

Don't get my wrong I would love to have the opportunity to play a team from Texas and Pennsylvania. And if it something y'all want to keep doing, I have no problem with it. It's y'alls money, not mine.

I agree. TCA put themselves in bad positions all night and was still in it at the end to win it. If there was ever a good loss this was it. The boys will learn from this and move on. Next up Mckenzie. That is there only focus now. Good luck to USJ the rest of the way. Even though the rivalry seems rough I really wish nothing but the best for USJ. Let's make Jackson look good in all divisions. Public and privates.

Good, because 6-4A needs y'all bad. You too, Sacred Heart!

It's funny how I can already tell the playoff seedings for this region (I don't mind sharing that implications). Looks like SGC and Covington will be a huge game. Also, Covington and Milan. Seems like nobody is talking about the Chargers for some reason. Very good ball club.

  13. Realistically, Milan should win this game by a score of 35-7. That's the score im going with. The only way North Side can win this game is if they get off to a fast start. They pretty much have to hit the end zone in the first quarter, or they virtually have no shot.

Don't be like that everybody said they would rather see Mayfield and UNION CITY play in week 4 so I'm asking if you don't want to join in stay off the page real simple and by the way I'm actually in union city right now so I guess I'm a tornado fan asking the question it's not good to be a poor sport I've done nothing but support uc lol I SMELL A HATER

BigEd is not hating, it's called moving on. Your team is in Kentucky, stay on CoachK.com or whatever your state website is for high school athletics and debate on that website. Debating here on CoachT when I'm sure all of UC fans have moved on is classless. Their region is a tough region, and all they care about is who they're playing on Friday night and not a team from Kentucky. I've already warned you on this.

All this AP poll shows it that most of the sports writers voting in it don't have a clue.  I  think it should be required that all voting members individual votes should be published each week.

It's not that they don't have a clue, it's that they don't do their homework. First thing is that they have to cover their respected teams from difference classifications. Then they have to make sure how good their teams is in each class compared to 50+ teams in different classes across the state. It's simply not an easy job. And they probably don't have any access to film. Just simply stats and schedules.

I wonder what the status of Greg Emerson is??  I haven't heard in several weeks. No doubt he would help slow down the Milan run game.

There's no official timetable for his return, but he's pretty much done. He's been riding around on golf carts and four wheelers on Friday nights to and from the locker room. I think he enjoys that. Indians are starting 7 sophomores on offense and it'll show. Defensively is decent, but not a stellar defense. Don't know what the numbers are, but be on the lookout for #8. He's a linebacker that has a good presence and he's vocal. If you sit close to stand near the field level, you'll noticed that. Losing 23 seniors and scheduling Germantown, Milan, Haywood, D-Burg, and Briarcrest does not help. Not making excuses but our players need confidence. The two touchdowns they have scored, came in the second half at Haywood. Note what I just said, no first half touchdowns yet.

So Milan and Northside look up for the first time since 1998. That year Milan beat the Indians in the season opener 22-21 in a thriller and went on to a state championship. What do the Indians have this year? Can Milan stay on track??

You have two options. Option number 1) beat us by 14. Option number 2) beat us by 30+. You decide.

  18. 21 minutes ago, CHARGERFAN said:

Is that considered an upset? Based on posters who had predicted that Milan or Bolivar would win 7AAA, I assume that Bolivar was expected to win this one.

Yes, but it's not the upset of the night in West Tennessee. I assumed Bolivar will role in this one because I know SGC hasn't won a "big" game in recent years and I know Lexington is down. I'm shocked, but congrats to SGC, have to give credit where credit is due. My initial thought was when SGC played a big game, they usually don't win, but not tonight. Overall, I still believe Bolivar is okay.
