  1. Gordonsville stopped on the goal line as the half expires. 14-0 Gordonsville 21-0 at half would have been pleasant.
  2. Good Luck to both teams. Enjoy the atmosphere and broadcasting beside those GVille nuts, @Boarhog
  3. Not apples and oranges. That is not a good analysis. Clay county doesn’t play well against team (A), so pay no attention to that dude behind the curtain. At what end? “Clay county would be undefeated for the past 10 years if you only take into account, Clay Co. doesn’t play well below 480ft above sea level. Clay co. plays best on odd week games. Gordonsville doesn’t like when Clay co. juices up on beets on Thursday. Dismissing the only game to show a comparison on as being inconsequential because?… my hometown doesn’t play well against them. Come on. I’m not discounting Clay’s abilities, but I am not sold on your analysis.
  4. I guess I know very little about football, but I can’t seem to understand the rationale behind a competent belief that Clay Co. will score 28, tonight. Jo Byrns coach said, unequivocally, Gordonsville is “by far the best team we will play, in the regular season.” Clay Co. beat Jo Byrns 20-6 and I know teams can get better as the season goes on, but it appeared Gordonsville could have put up 60 on Jo Byrns. The starters were on the sidelines, early in the 3rd.
  5. A person doesn’t have to jump very high with you setting the bar sooo very low. Ha
  6. That would be based upon the assumption that there is actually something in there.
  7. Idk if Clay can put up 28. Taking out the 15 RBS scored on the freshmen, opponents have scored 63pts on Gordonsville this year. Of which, 28 were by Trousdale. They may, and if they do, I will be thoroughly impressed.
  8. Nor did I… I thought they were like tri-county champions, or something.
  9. Trousdale has limited plays, but they are productive when Claiborne runs well.
  10. Well, for a long time the series was pretty much split. It always seemed dark in Celina. Locker room was dark, Clay Co.’s jerseys were dark. It was tackle the dark ball, against the dark jersey under the dimmed lights.haha
  11. That is some Price is Right “showcase showdown” specificity. Haha
  12. It is not disregarding a team when making a prediction. My comment was in reference to “being definitely more talented than Gordonsville,” and “having 6-7 that would definitely start on any team in the East.” Those statements seem definitely more dismissive toward Gordonsville or any other school in the East. I am all for being proud of the community and players. Good Luck
  13. @jimmycrackedthatcorn with all these definitely statements about Clay Co., it seems the only thing that will keep them from Chatt is if their bus breaks down on the way. Ha
  14. Do the refs just like the Gordonsville chow chow on their hotdogs, or something?
  15. Well, it helps when the dark horse strolls to the starting gate, undefeated. Ha.
  16. I didn’t mean that it a bad way. I haven’t seen someone be such a fan of of a program that is 1.5hrs away. Ha. When you pick a horse, you stick with ‘em. Clay has won one of like the last 13 years, so this may be it. I think Gordonsville will win, especially as it is going to be down on East Main.
