Those numbers are pretty close. He hasn't played QB at former school and not sure he will play at SP. If he does may take a while to shake of the rust. He is a good Baseball player and should help a ton on that team. If Vic could have got the other QB it would have changed their look completely. Not sure what new staff at GC is thinking. No contact with the best players you have returning and new/old offense that does not work with your few/best returning players. Thinks could be ugly on the hill this year.

Kind of quite on here. Just curious what are the numbers looking like in the weight room? Is the coaching staff set yet? Any spring scrimmages scheduled?

New district doesn't have any team on the level of ND or Signal Mnt. So that's s plus but Whitwell returns 9 starter on both sides of the ball and they had a decent team last year. SP will be better and Marion is looking to return a strong team. Dekalb Co, Upperman look to be front runner. I agree Waterton and Cannon both SHOULD be wins but after that coaching and talent will have to at a little higher level to compete with the remaining schudule. Time will tell. Any word on assistant coaches?

Watched FR/ Baylor match GREAT win for BAYLOR. To bad mat 2 camera didn't work would have like to see the MBA match. GBR

Thought he ran the Veer and I know he like the odd stack defense (3-5-3) I'm sure he will want assistants that will mirror his philosophy. Looking at the roster from last year, a lot of the starters are gone off both sides of the ball. He may need those freshman to grow up quick.

MikeLB I agree with you on the Little League Football but don't see a true middle school program in the near future. Big 8 basketball is king of the hill for better or worse and people in Grundy Co. Would just as soon burn the county down than get rid of it. Your uncle sounds like the real deal what state does he coach in? I'm guessing your not very close if your not sure on his total state championships. Hope the new coach polarizes the little guys and (sic) middle school programs. Time to rise and grind Grundy County.

If he's such a great hire why has he been at 4 different schools and still not at Sequatchie Co. He's best years where there what happened that he left and went to Clay County

Hey Del good info. Who are the other2 to interview that hasn't been mentioned. Heard this morning through the good ole reliable grapevine that a coach would be named by Saturday. I'll hang up now abc listen.

3-7 the year before that at Clay County. Overall winning % as HC is lower than Nicks also. Seem we are only going to make a lateral move or worse for a new HC.

Ok so candidate 1 we know nothing about as of now. Candidate 2's overall win % as a HC is lower than the previous HC. Candidate 3 has football knowledge but coaching middle school and high school are totally different animals all together. Candidate 4 has years of experience as Asst. coach but out of coaching for a few years. Whom ever is hired will need to pull in some good Asst. or they make a staff from all of the above.

Del do you have a number of people that applied. I know you named 3 Casey, Tommy and 1 out of the school system. We know of 2 that wont be hired(Mac and Sam.). That's a total of 5. I though there would be more than that. Seems low and if that all that applied why the lack of interest.

Everyone know this is a done deal. Nick could have won 10 games and he still would be gone. People say it's about wins and loses not his character but we are judging the coaches that apply on it. Start with the people in charge and work your way down, If you flip over enough rocks you will find dirt on anyone.
