Many decent coaches have done more with less. Clearly something awry in Madison if you can't win the games you're supposed to win with the roster they have available to coach up and be competitive. Jackson Christian is no slouch and shows up every Friday night, but Goodpasture should be a superior team in games like that. Sounds like a culture problem over on Due West. Gotta get hungry or get gobbled up.

Maybe NCS can trade schedules with Goodpasture. Bet they'd have a better record. Poor Cougs. #statusquo

Heard the Heat was on down in Donelson. By the score, sounds like some good quality reps for the nextgen Cats. Hope all stayed healthy and no third degree burns left. Sounds like a little bit better competition next week @PCA for a Thursday night showdown. #LDGDDGproduction

BGA/NCS was a blast. Environment was great until the rain ran a few off. Lots of VIPs in the house to see Bentley vs Brother's Beamer race. Fortunately for the Bentley, the gas tank was bigger and made it to the end. NCS qb is on a different level. Throwing around a 50yd bomb while falling down... shear talent. And then, keeping it close with an 80+ yard run in the 4th. D2-A is child's play for this talent. Brothers and crew can hoist a 🏆 assuming his team continues to get better throughout the season. Kudos to BGA. Lots of talent on their side as well. Bentley ball is real and a force to reckon with. Give him a couple more years and BGA is 🏆 worthy again, if not sooner. Culture has changed immensely and you see it in the number of kids at the lower levels as they were presented at halftime. Amazing what a changing of the guard and administration backing it up can do for a school. Congrats to BGA on a hard fought win and NCS for hanging close against a superior team. #onceawildcatalwaysawildcat

That's how wins are manufactured my friend. It's the whole I don't mind losing, but don't want to lose 49-0 vs 35-3 because it looks better. I know some coaches don't want to play the CPA, DA, BGAs of D2, but those are great marketing games to get some free pub for your school. I agree though. Grow a pair and step-up. You wonder why the Athletics, as a whole, don't excel at higher levels and growth happens in all sports, but true competitors want a better challenge instead of keeping the status-quo happy. I would have loved to play the Pearl Cohns, Riverdales and BA's of the mid 90s to see how good we actually were. Would those games have been close? Maybe not, but it would've been fun to see where some teams stacked up against better competition at higher levels. Oh well... Enjoy your 17 Team D2-A Class...

I think Columbia Academy @ MTCS could be an interesting matchup tomorrow night. Not sure what MTCS returns from last year's Championship team, but CA has a beast of a RB and I feel like he's going to give NCS QB a run for his money this year in D2A... The Georgia commit doesn't have the best supporting cast over in West Nashville from what the insiders on Sawyer Brown have been telling me. D2A could be interesting this year...

I tend to agree with @BingoLong. I hope I'm wrong and they exceed all the naysayers, but there's some decent teams that won't be cakewalks. Wildcats will have to earn every win this year. Hope they have their run game figured out by Friday night.

It's a shame T$$AA didn't approve the D2A/D2AA scheduling proposal. I'm sure the powers that be at certain schools don't want to take their teams to AA cause feelings might get hurt if they don't win early. I would figure the goal is to move up as you grow your program, but not every school thinks like the CPAs & BAs of the world. At least the season is upon us. Ready for some 🏈
