UC has brought up politics on multiple occasions on this board? Why? What do the democrats have to do with bball being played? Most of the time, the same people who throw around "dems" and other political stuff are the same people who say things like "you people" about school system in which 80 percent is blk or higher....that's slick talk...

Jalen wasnt supposed to play till March 9th...they didn't do their homework...Thats on Jalen and his family...5 schools..in 4 yrs...Mase could beat MAHS without him...they didn't need him and it cost them a chance at state...MAHS not bad at all...they have transfers too but they were done the right way..will UC play at MAHS or host?

If it was the democratic mayor, no one would be playing basketball in Memphis but there several teams playing, just not the SCIAA. That has nothing to do with the city mayor here. That decision was made by Dr.Joris Ray, the Superintendent

HawkGuy, he know exactly who I'm talking about....I'm very well versed on Memphis, I know Amar is a junior. My point was without playing this year, he doesn't get that offer from Memphis and he doesn't commit there. Maybe I shouldn't have said seniors want to play, they all want to play, 9th-12th and I feel bad for all of them but for the seniors, the ones who needed looks, it was really important to them and they didn't get that chance.

I feel for the ones who didn't get a chance to play, they missed the summer to play AAU and 90 percent of the seniors in the city playing ball didn't get a chance to play this year. I wanted to see all the kids play, I'm not like you UC, I don't wanna see kids fail or have their season thrown away or talk about kids like dogs on a message board. Would have never been that if he didn't imply a black young student athlete was dumb or didnt attend classes..I used to work in the school system...I know a lot of the faculty at Houston...he attends classes like anyone else there. Don't imply a student athlete especially in this climate as a dumb jock basically and it doesn't reach me calling UC a slick bigot because his statement to me reflected that....very simple..he went low so since we playing how low can you go..I call it how I see it...

Houston doesn't have a county..its in Germantown Tn which is a suburb of Memphis...

It's cool to have an opinion but then the insinuation that he's dumb or like you said "troubled" didn't sit well with me and for what? Basketball? I take that kinda stuff serious, we can laugh and joke and love our area but that wasn't called for. So, I don't mince words and I will say it again, that statement was very stereotypical and ignorant and very "look at them cheating their way through life" talk that comes from people who generally think a "different" way I will say. I love basketball but you would never see me make a statement like that about a kid, especially one I don't know and even if I did know a kids situation, I would never speak like that about a high school kid. There was no reason to say..he doesn't go to school, just getting by, I bet he doesn't go to school after the season...he doesn't know anything about that young man or his family but to assume that says a lot..if you for that and go with it..you the same as him
